The Story of Joseph Grimaldi Park in London 

The tiles were originally tuned in such a way that you could play his famous song ‘Hot Codlins’ when stepped on correctly :)

Joseph Grimaldi was supposed to be the greatest clown who ever lived. One day, a man went to his doctor with abject depression. He told his doctor that he felt utterly wretched. Lower than low. Borderline suicidal. His doctor said he had the perfect cure….. “you must go to watch the greatest of them all, Joseph Grimaldi. I swear to you that if you watch Joseph Grimaldi, you will laugh long and hard. Your spirits will rise to the heavens. NOBODY can see the great Joseph Grimaldi and remain depressed!!” The man looked at the doctor, and intoned with a sigh, “I AM Joseph Grimaldi”
