it was a move of kindness and understanding, it is not stupid at all, not everyone is like him, but also good thing from that kid that gave it back and wasn´t a selfish prick and at least had some sense of self-awareness and morale and gave back the account to the original owner, so in the end, both came out with something.

I only just found the time to watch this, and man was it worth it. I once had my Minecraft account hacked in 2017, when I stopped playing Minecraft for a while. This random kid from Mexico then bought a bunch of pay-to-win server ranks using it, then I took control back and basically $40 of random loot I'll never use. Maybe he actually got my password via one of these shady sellers, but its whatever now

3:41 its most likely that your password was taken from a security breach, use a password manager and it is harder for people to steal your accounts if you use a seperate password for each service you use

that actually happened to me. i had my mc account hacked and (possibly) sold to/by some russians. however i was able to get it back after some emailing with mojang support. this was back in 2015-16. what i did, from what i could remember, was telling/messaging mojang from my old email, i told them my password and old security questions

They actually do something similar to this in my country as well, see our country has had a bad history with other countries, they don’t fight each other nowadays and are actually trying to resolve their beef, but because of the bad history our country has had with others our region isn’t available on certain websites like Microsoft,PayPal,Amazon and many others, for example in my country people use the ps4 a lot and to play online they need ps plus and because our region is not available on there we have to buy from local shops that hack other accounts, sadly.

I had something very similar happen to my Xbox account, lost it for over a week but Microsoft got it back the same day we called, I tried to get it back from the guy who bought it but he wanted money because he paid for the account, if I bought someone’s account that they didn’t plan to sell and wanted it back I’d give it right to them it’s very disappointing that we even have to deal with this type of bs online

the same story happened to me too although I was not so lucky to get a response from the hacker or new owner of the account. I went to Mojang support, they told me to go to Microsoft support, and so on and so fourth until Microsoft support straight up locked my Microsoft account then deleted it completely. i could not get my Microsoft account back because I didn't know enough info that i had entered when i was 9 very sad since in my country its not so easy to just go and buy a new account.

I had my account stolen in like 2016, saw the emails too late. I knew at this time what the alt accounts was and all that crap, i checked on a skin website and yes the name of the account was changed. I didn't minded at this time because i stopped playing Minecraft and had no PC. But during the lockdown, i wanted to play again. I found an old 2013 email from Mojang with the transaction id, managed to get with their support and very quickly, they changed the email of the account to mine, and i got my account back. So, yeah, hacking has been quite wild and still is, but they have a great support in case you have been hacked before and want to play again without buying another account.

Biggest problem of minecraft - that it still not on steam and dont have price regulation for different regions. We just dont have this 20 dollars, i can buy like 20 big packs of snacks or even new Sneakers for this price
