Rick Prime has been one of the most interesting and intriguing characters from the show, but did you know that he has already appeared in rick and morty comics? technically those two only share the names but, since those two are the only ones with shared names, I dont think it's just a coincidence and today, I talked about it

I mean it makes sense to have more than 1 Rick Prime considering we've seen realities similar to the one we followed, like the reality where Rick cured the cronenberg virus, the parmesan reality in s6, season 2 Jerry's original reality. All the Ricks in those realities have the same backstory as the Rick we follow

This shows that Rick Prime didn't just start screwing people over with our Rick it also shows that there were events that lead up to him being the person that he is now, he felt betrayed over the fact that he was cloned and decided to use it as a reason to take over

I think Rick Prime is a title that whoever was a leader of Ricks at one point carries. Our Rick Prime night have been the first in the proto Rick organisation before the citadel was built.

Unless we find out he isn't and it's actually Evil Morty instead. Would make sense since Evil Morty is also the smartest Morty just like Rick Prime is the smartest Rick, not our Rick. Also Rick Prime is shown to be way more callous than C-137 is and Evil Morty's action could easily be a reaction to Rick Prime.

@@AndersWatches I'd forgotten that small detail so yeah I suppose our Morty is the Prime Morty then. Interesting thought if you think about it. The only reason for my doubt is they completely had us all on a ride about that 'totally fabricated origin story' thing but it turns out the backstory wasn't totally fabricated at all which was an interesting twist.

I wanna say they are seperate ricks. This prime sits on the council and is seen on the council through out the series. Hes also killed on the council. Its probably just a name that was reused due to different media and the new rick prime idea probably hadnt been flushed out at the time.

The literal comic Rick prime (council) it literally shows how they became the precursor to the council of ricks (not the shadow council) the comic is how they came together. It shows Rick prime in a bar with multiple alternate ricks (one being a humanoid insect(I’m high and forgot how to spell insectiod correctly so)

I say prime since he's from the main timeline it runs just a little bit ahead of the other timelines so that's why he knows everything that's going on and that's why he knew that one of the best had to die to get the balance of power between the rigs even the ones with and without families

What’s hilarious is that the comics hold so much story potential and ideas that they are a great read and what’s crazy is they are canon but if you read the end they made a quite genius way to make the comics not connect to the show at all, it’s almost like how the MCU is separated from the comics

I think this is loosely based on the show (duh) so rick prime is or was the leader and formed A citadel like cult of ricks. But not in the way shown in the comics. Maybe he formed the original rick cult and then C137 came along and created the citadel, and that lead to the finite curve thing. Evil morty was talking about. And I wonder if rick prime knows rick C137 is hunting him. That would explain why he didn't join the citadel. He knew it was a trap to lure all the ricks together at once.

I believe it was built before by prime Rick but our C-137 Rick went on a rampage trying to get revenge on Prime Rick but failed as he outsmarted him and was gone so instead C-137 destroyed half of the citadel along with a bunch of random ricks. and that’s when the council of ricks bowed down to C-137 as a truce and he rebuilt it from the ground up, maybe to closely monitor if he would ever find prime Rick again that’s my theory.

Who is our Rick within the TV show if Rick Prime was revealed to be C-137, the same as morty from the Cronenberged dimension. Our Rick was brought back somewhere else entirely seemingly, and admitted he chose C-137 to try and find Rick Prime. So who is he?

No you’ve got a few things mixed up. The Morty we follow is Prime Morty, from the unnumbered “Cronenberged Dimension”. This is also Rick Prime’s base reality. Our Rick is from C-137 of which does not have a Morty as Beth died young. This is why many other versions of Rick will give each other a look anytime Morty says he’s Morty C-137 as there is no such thing. Where Rick C-137 was transported to after resetting portal travelers was in fact dimension C-137, an entirely separate universe to Cronenberged Dimension.

I still can’t believe no one is understanding the Rick prime from the comic is the precursor to the council of ricks. There’s 3 others also. The comic takes place on citadel or somewhere and aliens are able to look like anyone, and so they have to do blood testing or something, and that’s how they figure it out
