Hi, Shehzad.I am from India. I have watched many of your podcasts in last few months. I enjoyed watching few podcasts even when I was not really interested in the topic! When I tried to find reason for that the answer I got is-it is somewhat rare to find person with very good common sense along with good intelligence,good logical mind and who is also concerned about suffering of others. So when I find such a person I enjoy his company even if I am not interested in the topic.Thanks for the podcasts. Please keep on doing the good work.

Suneel Munj is a simple yet forward person, I like his can-do attitude, he's a guy anyone would love to sit down and have a chat with. Plus I disagree with a lot of the comments on him being opinionated, I think if you ever have a discussion with him, he'd be more than glad to give you space to talk, acknowledge things in a certain context and associate respectfully. All in all, a great podcast once again, Mr. Suneel is a remarkable guy, and so are you Shahzad. Hats off.

I agree with Suneel Munj. We live in a Capitalist world, and the people who run it, engineer ways to make money by exploitation. One example is that in 1950s and 60s when the Car sale boom hit the US, the big car production companies bought the public transport companies, which ran the trams and metro buses, and shut them down. Nobody did anything to stop it. In Pakistan there are easy and far cheaper ways to make such maneuvers. Simply buy the head of the government.

The problem with us South Asians is that we get into political and social activism and don’t stick to our profession. Why should he dismiss Covid vaccines? Just because his sales were impacted, he linked his religion to it. This is how we justify our religious stance: if I engage in 10 things against my religion, I will keep quiet. If I do one thing that somehow aligns with our religion in some way, I will drum about it, to show how devout I am.

I have seen Suneel Munj several times now on different podcasts & I have observed that he rarely gives straight answers to the questions being asked. He deviates from the topic often, makes illogical arguments, talks as if he knows everything, but in reality comes across as overconfident & delusional. For example, when he talks about why people send remittances to Pakistan. Suneel says that they send remittance back to Pakistan because they feel that Pakistan is a land of opportunities. The reality is that their families need that money desperately to get that financial support. It has nothing to do with love for their country. People come back because they do labor jobs & once they make enough money, they come back because they can’t stay in gulf forever without any citizenship rights or property buying rights. Plus at some point they want to stay with their families. Suneel Munj makes a completely illogical & delusional argument in the podcast. Don’t even get me started on his vaccine stance & not being allowed to vote stance. So ridiculous.

Some Indian in the comment said Pakistanis like to buy Land Rover, blah blah blah... first of all if you see our Northern area videos we only use Jeep, and Toyota land cruiser etc, no one uses Land Rover, we used to use Land Rover before the Cruiser came along. Secondly, Tata may own Land Rover, but its stil not an India company, the top designers, engineers, marketers, etc are all European, British etc and it will remain an English brand. The only reason TATA owns it is because TATA made a lot of money selling garbage inside India when Indian politicians prevented foreign makers to sell or make in India... So no need to brag, this is not an Indian company, and there is a segement in society that buys them only to drive within the city to malls etc.... Its very ironic Land Rover got sold when so many new designs were on the horizon, with newer technologies, but here in the US, its still not considered reliable, still cannot compete with a Lexus or Toyota etc....
@KanishkaS-on9mv
@KanishkaS-on9mv 5 месяцев назад
What are you even Bragging about. Even if Tata sells garbage in it's net worth is still more than the GDP of Pakistan. You Don't have any international standing in the world as evident by your 4th weakest passport in the world and a PKR currency which is worse than even toilet paper. So Pakistanis should never talk of reliability and quality. You guys are so incompetent that you had to sell your Washington embassy because u couldn't pay your diplomats. The only achievement you have is having successfully begged IMF record 23 times

Suneel is wrong that everyone that leaves Pakistan eventually returns. Only labour class that go to Gulf countries return because Gulf countries do not give citizenship. If mayor of London was born in London, then it us because his parents born in Pakistan did not return. In any case, even if you go by his theory that they return after 40 years adter amassing huge savings, how does that make Pakistan a land of opportunity? They went abroad to earn because for them opportunity to earn in Pakistan did not exist.

@1:16:10 Sunil is wrong here. Only labour class from middle east or those who fail to apply immigration from middle east are come back to Pakistan. Majority of Pakistanis from other countries including labour don't comeback to Pakistan. As far as remittance is concerned to wo apne ghar walo k liye send kerte hai.

The guy is in an elitist bubble. Most developing countries have low filing rates of direct income tax. It's one thing to blame the wealthy who out-maneuver the system into not paying their tax, and hence say that the system itself needs to improve on tax collection. But saying a citizen is not entitled to even getting a life-saving vaccine shot if they're not paying direct income tax (btw indirect tax rates are already higher in developing countries compared to developed countries), reeks of absolute elitism. Similarly, his views about stubble burning by farmers are problematic. Suneel saab thinks a small farmer should be fined for burning stubble, but a 30-year old car shouldn't be banned from driving, because somehow someone owning a car has more valid needs than a farmer who doesn't even earn enough to afford a 30-year old car? There's a distinction that needs to drawn between rich and poor.

I do think he’s away from contemporary middle class dispositions and agree that he’s comfortable within that bubble but I think looking at his business listing and publicly accessible data, he’s good at running HIS business.

Sunil sahab has superiority complex that he is a "tax filer" and contribution to the economy. When in reality, non tax filers are the real contributors of the society, as they are double taxed almost everywhere, and can't even adjust their WHT.
@dr.cooper5909
@dr.cooper5909 10 месяцев назад
@@an_orange8911 umm I didn't mean that. My point is that the economically backward sections of society who legit don't make enough income to qualify for paying direct income tax, should not be ostracized from basic amenities like a life-saving vaccine. That particular comment reeks of elitism.
