Dragons are most likely symbology. As its possible they did exist, its more probable they did not. They could symbolize spiritual chaos or simply Satan. As man conquered fire, warded away the wild predatory animals, and use it for safety, the next greatest possible threat could be an animal that harnessed the power of the flame.
Wow i didn't know that, all my Christian life, even having a George in every Christian family in Lebanon..now i know..ive been watching a lot of your videos david, thank you so much for that,am learning a lot about our beautiful Christian faith..i pray and ask st George to look after England and its people and Christian heritage amen

MARANA'THA, noun The Lord comes or has come; a word used by the apostle Paul in expressing a curse. This word was used in anathematizing persons for great crimes; as much as to say, 'may the Lord come quickly to take vengeance on thee for thy crimes.'
I just subscribed to your channel so I can check out some more of your videos. I love Jesus🙌✝️ and any truth that has to do with Him🙌✝️ and I also love history.
He is also regarded as saint in Ethiopian Orthodox Church and each month on 23 is his day. Enjoyed the story and learned new things like the fact his birth place Lydia is located in Israel between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
There is nice little story song like about saint George they used to sing it for me when I was little kid coz my name George specially my godmother God bless her soul❤✝️🙏
The British don't celebrate at George's Day further than it being printed on our calendars and maybe a st George's cross outside the pub, but that's it... Weirdly st Patrick's Day seems a much bigger thing in England.
St Patricks day has become to "Americanised" as some "Americans think they are Irish" due to them haveing Irish ancestors which is true but they take it too over the top. St Andrews day (Scotland) is not celebrated as much either but I am not sure about St Davids Day in Cymru/Wales.
The dragon legend is about his spiritual battle with which he recognised Rome was being spirituality ruled and manipulated by Satan. In the bible Satan has three titles. 1. Satan when he comes to tempt a nation to live sinfully. This feeds the ground for total reign by him. 2. Lucifer. This is when he comes as an angel of light. Tearing down traditions with new demonic doctrines. 3. The dragon. This is when he has done the previous to a nation and sends them out to destroy. Rome at the time of Saint George was at the latter stage hence its spiritual name the dragon. George defeated the dragon with his death just like his master Jesus did.
You funny ! More drive Through is what we need .The wife and I love your vids . Keep them coming . By any chance are you a history teacher ? You know one that sidelines as a comedian ?
His martyrdom lasted 7 years, during which time he was subjected to 20 different tortures. Wasn't just a few months 🤦 In biblical terms Dragons are people with Power eg Emperor/Empress King/Queen.
Saint George has his tracks and his horse steps on the rocks of the coastal town of Jounieh Lebanon where there is water coming from the rocks and there happened so many miracles the name George very popular in lebanon u hardly see an apartment building it doesn't have 2 or 3 kids or adults named George u should visit this place called batieh in jounieh Lebanon
Hi guys my name is George I am going to tell you guys about my story of how I got my name George when I was a baby in my mom is stomach my mom went to Saint George is Church and my mom prayed and said I want a boy and JESUS SAID HIS NAME IS GOING TO BE GEORGE AS PRONOUNCED GEORGIOS AND IT HAPPENED A MIRICAL MADE ME A BOY NAMED GEORGE AS PRONOUNCED GEORGIOS THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR GIFT TO ME TO LIVE FOR YOU IN JESUS IS NAME AMEN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
St George was actually born in Cappadocia, Turkey, around 270AD. St George was a high-ranking officer in the Roman army who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians. Roman emperor Diocletian ordered his death for failing to recant his faith. And that's how he became a Christian martyr
You left out that between each torture he was being healed supernaturally by God. Gaining more and more followers for Jesus each time. Then at the end he provoked their false gods to admit Jesus is Lord!
Sadly Saint George’s Day isn't widely celebrated as much as other patron saints! But I suppose you only have to take a look at the world cup kit of today's England team to get the real picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@shef8764 true, he was a catholic with a little “c”, which found in Latin terms simply means universal. But he undoubtably was a catholic. Yet we wonder why it’s so easy for the Catholic Church to claim to be apostolic.
@@Jorge-dh1hp St George story is similar to Robin Hood or the piper playing his horn and tricking all the rats out the city. Or however the children story goes. But they are all stories from the same regions that explain the removal of "ppl" from a land or stealing from those rich ppl to give to their own community. The ppl of the snake or who worship the snake religiously were who "St George" removed from the British isle. He also represents a new regime or form of thought.
Exactly. The story should me more focused on the slaying of the Dragon and who it represents. The ending of human sacrifice, blood magik/drinking, cannibalism, child stuff, slavery etc. He is a western warrior defending against the push of the Dragon and the Dragon Families. What does the dragon do in the Hobbit. Sits on its horded gold. Where is its lair today? Where the gold is. Does human sacrifice, blood magik/drinking, cannibalism, child stuff, slavery? War, ritual murders, kidnappings, slavery (debt is a bondage, bondage is slavery, unless you volunteered).
@@JJSPARROW1978 yes, but all stories are allegory or parables. The dragon is representing a group of people. Also the dragon can represent a thought form or process. The gold or jewels that the dragon hordes can dually represent the same thing.
@@davidcampbell7168 - True, but Animalism which is basically what the Druids were, just like Native american or Australian Indigenous Shamans and Spiritual Law Man & women. It was primarily animal blood magik and flesh eating, blood drinking rituals. Sure they occassionally on some astrological sign, sacrifice and do blood and flesh stuff to people, but not like what eas coming from the east. The Dragon wishs to capture its prey. Control it farm it. Tend and look after it. Choose only the best quality for its rituals, its meals. Are these rituals of Human Sacrifices, Human Blood drinking, flesh eating, torture, pedo's, beastiality that seem to come of middle asia in the past......Do they still exist today? If so that means the Dragon, its Families and Mercanaries are same people Saint George was figuratively fighting back then. That Diocletion and the Emperors court were evil and not roman. Huns attacks 100 years later & sacked rome.
nice video, but story dont make sense to me! what has dragon to do with gospel and the princess? what are the evidence in the story that tell us that St George was preaching Gospel?
Kind of ironic that St. George is a Palestinian origin and its the Palestinian people that he was trying to save from the evil (dragon) but most western government currently ignored Palestinian plea of being oppressed.
The Palestinian government is not synonymous with the people of St. George’s day just because they share a name or common ancestry... it’s the heart of the people that matters, not their title.
My last name is St. George, That being said. I am of French heritage. Not English. My ancestors migrated from France to Canada then to the states. My family crest does have the cross of St. George on it. As well as the crown of nobility and the armor of a warrior. My family history handed down is that of a man of religion but more so a man of unwavering loyalty.
Written about st, George before the birth of St, George, written revelation by jew John the desciple of Christ Jesus, John the desciple became muslim, John the desciple written about st, Benedict,' s prayer related words before the birth of St, Benedict,, written book of revelation written by John the desciple only, then jew became muslim, adoring allah _ one God of Islam,
Most people don't take the dragon slaying literally. It is a romanised story I expect which gained greater attention in the middle ages when there was a strong focus on knights and chivalry and great deeds.
Hate to break the news guys but St George was born in turkey and would most likely look more asain/ Arab than what they say,he was a general in the Roman army and spent most his time in Europe and died in palistine, and never in his life stepped on English soil or ever came to the UK.....I don't see how he became the pride of England???
You’re right about his mother. But George was from Cappadocia, which is now part of modern day Turkey but was not at the time. He was ethnically a Christian Greek. We don’t know what colour his skin was, some people think he may have even been of Moorish descent. Where he’s from doesn’t matter, does it? he was a follower of Christ and a Christian Saint, ethnicity is irrelevant
Most of the images of him as an English medieval crusader are of course totally wrong. He was probably half Greek, half Syrian by roman standards. They were not really interested at all though in race, pretty refreshing, people have become so tribal about race today.
