I remember a interview Derrick Henry had with a radio station in Birmingham, AL just after he signed with Alabama. He told them he was the best and he was going to prove it. They thought he was a joke. They basically laughed at him, told him he was too big and slow to play running back. They insinuated that the only reason he broke Florida HS records is because he went to a small HS and they only played small high schools so he didn't play against competition. They told him he should change positions when he got to college. He said NO, I will be the starting running back at Alabama. He was humble all during the interview and he got the last laugh
@Louie O. BlevinsMusic if lsu had a quarter back lsu wouldve beat bama, lsu offense had star power but jordan Jefferson couldnt even get one first down the whole game. That lsu team was amazing excluding Jefferson
Thinking back on it, he was a great leader for the team. He was big and tough, which was the perfect quarterback that offense needed. He could throw the ball when it was needed, which was nice since our team was a mainly running offense.
@@garyblue6359 i never liked jalen as a passer... really good person and good player but.. he just didn't have that x factor... but Jalen still one of my favorite qb's of Bama besides tua and mac
There was just something magical about 2015 season. Jake Coker didn't go into the season as a starter. Henry would go on to win the Heisman trophy. Drake came back for his senior season after a gruesome injury. Ridley and Fitzpatrick were unknown freshman. And I just loved Reggie Ragland but what made it even sweeter was after losing to Ole Miss for the second year in a row many media outlets had written us off. By far my favorite national championship run! Thanks for doing this.
They weren't unknown just freshmen. Minkah was a godsend and I have never heard Saban talk about a player, especially a freshman, like that. We knew what we had in both of them.
The violent pass rush of this team was the best in the Saban era! Tim Williams, Ryan Anderson, Rashan Evans,Johnathan Allen...Foster, Ragland, Hamilton were thumpers at the second level...back end playmakers Eddie Jackson, Minkah, and Marlon, and Ronnie Harrison. I miss that nasty defense.
That wasn't even all pf them neither lmao. Jarron reed, ashawn Robinson (got a superbowl ring this year with the rams) were seniors on the 2015 dline and DeShawn hand and Daron Payne were also freshman beasts behind these guys too. That dline was super nasty. Darren lake and dalvin tomlinson was on there too. All nfl dlinemen! Go 4-3 and put tomlinson & robinson in the middle, throw reed and Allen on the outside or go 3-4 and keep robinson in the middle with Reed and Allen outside bringing in the big 2 middle linebackers with Ragland and foster in the middle & Tim Williams/rashaan evans & anderson hitting the outside. Fn nasty anyway you go with it. That 2015 bama team had the Best 2 deep front 7 in cfb history imo.
“I wanna win EVERY GAME we play. I want other teams to sit there and say, ‘I HATE playing these guys.’” - Nick Saban, 2007 ----------- Well, his first goal- as insane as it is, considering he’s been at Alabama since 2007- has come about as close to being reality as it could legitimately hope to be (especially considering his VERY FIRST SEASON, 2007, saw him lose 6 games, and there’s barely 6 more losses TOTAL, over the following DECADE PLUS. His second goal from above, has been ABSOLUTELY TRUE, ever since his second season, in 2008. *GOAT...* PERIOD
@@mitchu1433 He is a top commentator on ESPN after 7 outstanding years at Ohio State, including a national championship and 7 straight wins over Michigan.
@@tonyiacomi4822 Beating Michigan isn't an accomplishment lol its an expectation. They are the most routinely overrated team in college football. Urban was a great coach BUT I believe he quit on Florida because he didn't have the talent anymore and then he was gifted a loaded Ohio State team.
there needs to be one of the 2017 team...the loss to clemson in the final second the year prior, the matchup against the #3 team, the undefeated season then the loss at auburn...the injuries, doubters, overcoming adversity, domination over clemson, comeback overtime win against georgia in the championship game
There needs to be one of the 2018. The utter domination of the SEC and every opponent it faces. Undefeated regular season. SEC champion, semifinal shootout winner. Crying for mommy against the Tigers.
@@bryan31385 power teams. Was no crying for mommy against the Tigers, just revenge on their minds. Was their any crying for mommy for the Tigers after losing 24-6 to Bama in 2017?
The fact that Kenyan Drake’s kickoff return TD in the national championship wasn’t shown is a disgrace. No other play embodied the season better than that touchdown. Perfect example of how to “finish”. Opportunity missed.
This might sound crazy to some people but COKER is my favorite Alabama QB of all time. He was a underdog and he overcame adversity. Most people would say I'm the least emotional person that they know but when I watch Coker's highlights and see him fired up I tear up just a little
Coker grew up a Bama fan, he wanted to win for himself and for Alabama. He wasn't just here to try to get to the NFL. I think that's why he's my favorite.
I LOVE SEEING THROWBACK VIDEOS OF OUR CRIMSON TIDE FOOTBALL TEAM!! ❤️🏈🏈🐘🌊🌊🏈🐘 HOW AWESOME IS OUR LEGACY!!! OUR 2015 SECONDARY AND TEAM WAS AMAZING!!!!!🏈🌊 ROLL TIDEEE!! 🌊🌊🌊🏈
I remember cowherd back when usc was on top saying that Alabama was done, that you couldn't get kids to go there anymore when they could go to LA or Miami.
There were alot of close gsmes too, no blowouts until the playoff 😅, we fought vs arkansas. Ole miss. Tennessee. Lsu. Auburn. Good games, i think that was also the year of dsk prescotts #1 mississippi state bulldogs but bama whooped em like a child 😅😅
@@JK-gu3tl How do you figure? Ohio State hasn't played Alabama since this game so how have they "stayed struggling against Saban." To my knowledge Urban Meyer's Buckeyes are 1-0 against Saban's Tide. The Buckeyes were 3-2 against Michigan State during Saban's tenure and were upset badly in 1998. But that was John Cooper. Not Urban Meyer. I don't really like Nick Saban. I'm not saying Meyer is perfect. Ryan Day might turn out to be even better. But we definitely put a good old fashioned ass-whoopin' on the Tide in 2015 and the Tide lucked out that they didn't have to play us in 2016 cuz we were even better that year.
@@JK-gu3tl The game was not that close. A late touchdown put Bama within 7. With the exception of the 1st quarter Ohio State dominated them on both sides of the ball.
Saban has such a unique energy about him. There are louder, more “intimidating” coaches. But no one has the same effect on people. No one can move people and players like he can
You know it amazes me that Bear never had a Heisman winner but now that the greatest coach in College Football history is in Tuscaloosa he has more National title wins and 3 Heisman winners to his credit Saban is a legend and the best recruiter I have ever seen in any sport........... And the legend keeps growing in Title Town USA :) #ROLLTIDE
LOL. Bryant did not want 1 player to be singled out. It was about the team. Mr Entitlement has 2 NCs (2011, 2017) where he didn't win the conference and got to play for a NC. Bryant won the conf during all of his NC runs.
Nick was such a blessing for us and we are thankful. I don't think there will ever be another one close to him. I know he's spoiled us Bama fans. I didn't realize this till we lost to Clemson in the N C game. No wonder everybody hates Bama.
If Jacob Coker had one more year of eligibility, Bama would've wiped Clemson off the map. The next year's next had everything but a qb that could throw the ball consistently.
Damn, the Heisman Finalists in 2015 were some beasts with Derrick Henry, CMc, and Watson. All superstars in NFL, at least pre-masseuse Watson was a superstar.
@@blackseoulite Coach Bryant didn’t wear his hat indoors. When Alabama played in the Sugar Bowl inside the Louisiana Superdome, Coach Bryant went hatless. But, he was still smoking those cigarettes on the sideline.
Bana gets so much hate ...Im a VFL love Tennessee Orange blooded to the bone marrow ....But i respect Saben and the Bana program...People that hate on Bama is people who cant appreciate success

I remember Jake Coker running it and attempting to truck a defender and it was like a huge moment for him cause a lot of people considered him soft prior
That Ole Miss game was one of my favorites. It sucked no doubt but to see the team fight even though EVERYTHING went wrong. Really came close in a game they could’ve lost by 21 easy.
I'd also argue because of Pruitt as well. Seeing what he did with that defense and it's historic year in 2016 was amazing. That whole defense is in the NFL as we speak. Kirby a great recruiter and coach and so was Pruitt. Bama was definitely blessed to have so many talented players as well as mastermind defensive coaches like Smart and Pruitt on that team. Wow, what a team and staff. Amazing.
ROLL TIDE Graham Thank you! #RTRForever 🏈 I watched this after our 2017 Homecoming Win 🏆 Enjoyed!!! My Daddy always pulled out the couch bed every Saturday we kids piled in and watch Alabama always (watched others too). No matter win or lose I am a forever Proud Fan! Yes, I'm a lady who knows my football 🏈 #RTR
imhoooks Clemson was fortunate bo Scarborough got injured In the first half. Clemson went down 14-0 and couldn’t stop him. Props to Watson though, he had two amazing performances vs Alabama’s best defense.
I wish the defense would get back to the days when teams would say man I hate playing hose guys and would hate it even more the next couple days after. I feel like the your not gonna gain an inch, and if you do gain an inch your gonna get punished for it attitude has gone from the tides defense of these young guys can play with this type of attitude the rest of the season then they won’t have any problems
As an ole miss fan those years in 14 and 15 were so special. Even if there were violations nothing will take those wins from the fans. The atmosphere in Oxford was unreal. Has been this year, but the win against bama is the biggest win we can get. Which goes to show how insane this program is.
Eddie Jackson should have won the Thorpe Award and if he had finished the year, he could have possibly won the Heisman. I think, he did enough to win the Thorpe Award.
If Coker had started the year before Bama would have won the title. Blake was the most overrated, emotionally insecure, and turnover prone QB during Saban's run at Bama.
