Due to a dyslexic studio head, Captain *Fordo* then treks all the way across Middle Earth to destroy the _One True Ring._ He even has to avoid Count Dooku's machinations on his journey.
@@colemikel8976 Is it Canon? I dunno, it plays right up to Episode 3, with the start of the Battle of Coruscant happening in the show, and continuing into the movie as the opening scene, but I still don't think it's officially been stated as Canon.
@@DaleESkywalker The Republic were the first ones to have Y-Wings, and also, they are really fun to fly around in. Unless you are shot by a vulture droid.
@@otxmikey5447 Mine was always Sev from Republic Commando. But Fordo and Cody are in my top five. I never understood the hype around boy scouts like Rex. For me the list is: 1. Sev. 2. Scorch. 3. Cody. 4. Fordo. 5. Nate. 6. Bacara. 7. Slick. 8. Appo. 9. Bly. 10. Neyo.
I’ll still argue the micro series is canon, but more like book ends. And with how shit plays out, I feel like they were going for having them be connected
I act like the stuff regarding Clones and non force users from the micro series is still canon, which certainly isn't impossible, while stuff regarding the Jedi is legends, actual legends even, like witnesses to events the Jedi take part in or just imagine how it went exaggerate the story more and more as it's told, thus why the Jedi seem ultra powerful and everything. Personally, I'm a little put off with the power level Jedi had in it but if others like it, eh, fair enough. As for the Clones...perfect.
I think Fordo represents what I think good clone troopers would really be like. He makes wise tactical decisions, understands the nuances of the battlefield, and is proficient in all combat methods (as someone who has studied and trained in the art of war since birth would be). I am actually glad this character was left in Legends. So many characters have been messed up or just dumbed down that by leaving him behind, he stays a powerful legend.
I always loved the animated cartoon Clone Wars series and preferred to The Clone Wars show in some ways like displaying how large the war was and big the battles were compared to The Clone Wars which didn't really seem that big for me. I loved how action packed it was and it accurately showed how powerful the Jedi were in the Expanded Universe which I still consider canon and Disney can't tell me otherwise. I'm not saying The Clone Wars tv show was bad all I'm saying is that it was missing in a few areas that just couldn't compete with Clone Wars like the appearance of General Grievous where he's super fast, strong, brutal, and intelligent compared to the incompetent weak sauced panzy General Grievous who couldn't handle a padawan without cheating and ran away at every opportunity and had the most stupid space battle tactics that would disappoint even the common admiral of the Imperium of Man's Imperial navy. So in many ways I preferred what the Cartoon 2003 cartoon volumes did over The Clone Wars and prefer it as canon as well. It's just my preference.
The newer show is a drag to watch at times. Honestly not as entertaining to me. Yes the 2008 show has some great moments and Captain Rex is awesome, but the Mon Calamari arks were atrociously bad and the creators should be embarrassed. The 2003 show excelled in showing the immensity of the war and each battle, in the 2008 Mon Calamari story arcs, they make it seem like Mon Calamari has a population of only a few hundred people compared to the massive battle fought by kit fisto in the 2003 show. In the 2008 show, a shark actually dies from falling, under water, in the sea, like that’s so stupid I dont know where to start complaining. Theres water tubes for mon calamari city (despite the city being underwater and inhabited by fish anyways) and when main characters were swimming away in this tube an enemy shark was chasing after them. The tube broke behind the main characters and the sharke fell to his death making the main characters feel safe. Like wtf, they’re under water, the tube and the ocean are both water filled, this scene just shows how garbage the writing is for the 2008 show. Sorry not sorry but it should have been a much better show and the creator should be embarrassed by some of these story arcs...
Both series were great but lacked what the other had. If they merged we would have the greatest show of the likes that has never been seen on this earth before
7:00 Hang on Mace Windu just chain punched a B2 Droid…and not only didn't break his hand, but KOed the Droid. Apparently _Plot Armour_ also comes with _Plot Brass Knuckles._
In the 3d series it also has Padme punching and kicking a droid with no issues, the inconsistency of the 3d series (and it's glaring plot armor) are the worst parts of it.
@@iceblaze3043 It's a special ability called shatter point. Mace was one of the few Jedi to master the ability. It can easily turn the tide of battle to whoever uses it.
Yes it was captain though I wish it had more dialogue. When I was a kid I never understood the politics of it all but now I'm an adult I'm thankful to George Lucas for it.
I really appreciate all the individual cool clones we got in animated series, but I always kinda wished they were all silent and cool like Fordo and his men, and never even removed their helmets. Ice cold
Netro Lancer from what I have read up years back, Fordo was suppose to appear the 2008 Clone Wars series but it was given to Rex....Unless I may have confused him with Alpha-17.
@@kevintran5901 Yes Alpha 17 was supposed to be in 2008 CW but the creators didn't want to have too many protagonist starting with A, Anakin, Artoo, Ahsoka then Alpha 17, so Captain Rex was made.
Fordo in the Muunilinst arcs was epic, but as a kid i deadass didnt know HE was that epic clone commander losing sector 4 in Coruscant.. when i made the connection years later, my mind was blown away completely.. long live ARC-77
No, I’m guessing that, based on the closing statements from our host, he retired about halfway from where the facility/shield-gate was located to enjoy his retirement & such, Jonathan Peek…
Captain Fordo was amazing the first time I saw him in the Animated Series, and started my long standing love of the Specialist Clones that took nods from the Mandalorians, both ARC troopers and Clone Commandos. It's only a shame we never got to see Fordo without his helmet... I wonder what he looked like... ;)
It would be hysterical if the pilot actually survived and was just chilling in a burning gunship, not getting out until the mission is over because he is a pilot and not a foot soldier.
How about the "other" orginal ARC, "Alpha", the man. Also man with Best quotes and one liners to Anakin and Kenobi due him respecting Jango Fett and Mandalorian warrior traditions more than Jedi "trickery". Man also commited warcrimes like its a thuesday afternoonwalk
I didn't exactly retire until the Empire came into being. They asked me if I wanted to replace Fox when he was killed, but I declined and I retired officially.
4:43 what is the difference between canon grievous and legendary grievous? the animation introduced him and explained why he was crippled in the clone wars.
i love how at 4:34 you can see grievous' "aw shit, they called the elites" face the usually ruthless general even in this version stopped when seeing them hesitant on if he should charge them or kill mundi or flee
I’m waiting for a fully fledged clone wars game that allowed you to fight like the galactic conquest mode from original battlefront 2 but more developed. Can you imagine having a role play game where you can chose to be a Jedi and or a clone or maybe swap between them. Would be one of the coolest games going with how cool the clone wars actually are
2nd Fordo was the most badass clone ever in my opinion. But- he was in a show that was drawn and it would be to hard to catch his action in the Clone wars.
I collect black Series figures and am a customizer. Fordo is on my project list and I'm working on him now. If anyone is interested, I DO take commi@ions and I also sell resin card board do you can build your own Fordo......or dang near any other Cline trooper. Finds me ate Facebook group Planet Bugle! Thanks everyone!
I think Fordo would have had a much different career if the Jedi hadn’t misused the hell out of clone commandos at Geonosis. The Muunilinst 10 basically acted as a 10 clone version of the 4 clone commando squad. Although, a team of 9 arc troopers led by Fordo was probably a bit tougher than a squad of commandos.
My question is - who or what gives the go ahead or credibility to new books/tv/movies/media etc to make the cut to become cannon or legend.... who is making these decisions.. can anyone continue/create stories at the same time continuing the lore of SW’s????? Please upvote so Allen/GT has a chance to answer.. Thank you.
I grew up with the 2008 cw and sadly wasn't able to watch the 2003 cw until disney+ I would have to say it's a much better show than the 2008 cw and I'm still wondering why they didn't have captain fordo in the 2008 cw like he could've been captain of Obi-Wans battalion while Cody was the commander
Everybody's talking about Fordo and how cool he is, but nobody likes to talk about the Nulls, the original prototypes for the clones turned into the Republic's most effective black ops squad
