It's a great game, easily one of my favorites in the series, but I was tired of having to play 3 times in a row, still, I'll try to finish it, great job with the video :D
Thank you for making these. I only played KH 2 and Birth by Sleep and my PS2 broke when I got Chain if Memories so I couldn’t play it. Watched all vids leading upto KH2 and they are all easy to understand. Wish I had a PlayStation just for KH3 now...as it’ll never come to PC...
Please explain why people love Aqua and Dislike Terra. As far as I can tell, Terra was lied to and manipulated from square one by Xehanort in order to break his will and turn him into a vesel for Xehanort's heart and soul. Xehanort chose Terra for a reason, and since we know from Larxene that he has no trouble with transgender heart transfusion, I can only draw the conclusion that Xehanort wanted Terra because he was strongest vessel in both Heart and Body although Xehanort neglected the soul/self/will. Terra battled the old Xehanort and Vanitas at the same time and was doing fine against both, then he beat Xehanort but succumbed to darkness, not out of weakness but in order to defeat him and out of a will to protect his friends. Terra essentially Hulked out. He was then possed but continued fighting as a suit of armor out of sheer willpower (lingering will). Ven was consumed by Vanitas but vanquished him from within, purposfully crippling his heart in the progress. Ven and Terra both sacrificed themselves. Terra risked destroying his own body in order to buy time for the others and weaken Xehanort. Ven broke his own heart (litterally) in order to prevent the X-blade from being forged properly. Aqua on the other hand did little other than fight Vanitas and a malformed X-blade (also beat Braig but he was little else than a newsance), and was only succesfull because: A- the X-blade wasn't complet thank's to Ventus B- Xehanort was preocupied with the lingering will thanks to Terra C-Mickey was helping her. Take Aqua out of the battle and there would be no real change. She only battled Vanitas because she was there. If she hadn't what would Vanitas had done in the approximate 5 minuites during the battle of Ventus and Vanitas? Aqua then tried to help Terra but did nothing exept give him a reason to fight of Xehanort. Aqua would have died in the fight if Terra hadn't battled Xehanort within himself in order to save his friend. She then promptly send Terra and Xehanort's hearts back to the realm of light, but Xehanort was still in control. She did nothing but undo her and Terra's last good work in rescuing Xehanort from the realm of darkness, and seeling Ven away before sacraficing herself for no good reason or logic other than her own short sighted need to help Terra. I guess we should thank her since without her stupidity there would be no KH1/2/COM/Coded/DDD/358days. But also no Xemnas; Ansem; Organisation XIII.
People hate Terra because he was so easily manipulated Xehanort. What probably sealed the deal was when he killed Eraques. I think that it's pretty much agreed on that Terra acted pretty dumb and way too gullible when everyone else seemed suspicious. Aqua prevented Ventus-Vanitas from regrouping with Xehanort. Again it wasn't like Vanitas wasn't in control of Ventus' body. Vanitas would have made short work of Mickey, alone. Who knows what would have happened if he joined the Frey against the Lingering Will. She also, you know saved Ventus from falling off the cliff. Aqua wasn't anticipating Terranort to be right there. But she wasn't going let him get to Ven either. Finally if Aqua allowed Terranort to fall into the realm of darkness. Terranort (after coming to his senses) most likely would have allowed himself to create his Heartless and a Nobody which would have effectively sped up his plans. Aqua saved Terranort and sacrificed herself with the idea that Terra would be able regain control of his body eventually. This is why she constantly hopes that Terra or Ven is back. Throughout the entire game, Aqua had been the one cleaning up after Terra's mess. Aqua effectively delayed Xehanorts plans. That's why people love her. She didn't have to do anything at all. But she did because she cared for her friends. She was there when they needed her.
@@Cklert Exactly. Her entire game revolves around following blindly. She has no moral ambiguity, no developement. And also, Riku was manipulated by Ansem just as easily as Terra. I think that the reason Terra is slightly dark is because, unlike Aqua, he has the ability to see grey areas where Aqua sees only Black and White.
She didn’t even make Kh1 happen or all games tbh, Terranort was send to radiant garden due to the explosion caused by Ventus and Aqua destroying the X-blade, Terranort already had amnesia and was just standing there, Braig was coming to pick him up, Kh1 and all games would have started no matter what.
What I don't understand is why we have to belittle Aqua to uplift Terra? They are all equally important to the story. For me, personally, I like Aqua because she gives me representation to the story. She's the only female keyblade weilder we actually see fight in Kingdom Hearts. I don't care who sacrificed more or what, who was dumb or what, she shows that women can be badass too. In the characters' minds, rankings aren't important either.
The lack of aqua in this exclamation kind of disturbs me. Like there was no explanation of how she ended up in the realm of darkness. Just a little important
Thanks a ton for this, this is so far the only kingdom hearts game I dropped. I really was enjoying the story and characters but hated the gameplay with the command system. I beat ventus’s story and decided to start Terra on beginner mode, to try and beat it faster, but I was just bored after a while and didn’t finish so this video was nice so could know what happens and get started with the next game.

It's largely a lead into Recoded, I think it's mentioned at the beginning of Recoded but Im not 100% on that. Either way it's not strictly that important it's Mickey summoning Sora to help out with something
thanks for the tldr, Played a few minutes of BBS, and with the guage thing, the Dlink, and all that crap, I said nope. This is after beaten KH1 and KH2 FM. The total different game play was too crappy for me to give it a chance
+Asha Cherukuri Oh sorry probably should of pointed out who was who better. I'm pretty sure you mean why does Ventus look like Roxas. Terra is the taller borwn haired guy. But the reason for Ventus looks like Roxas it is actually, Roxas that looks like Ventus. Since Ventus's heart was inside Sora's when Roxas was made he took the look of Ventus instead of Sora.

Huh. After playing KH1 and KH2 and after watching 358/2 days and chain of memories, and finally playing most of ventus’s story, I have to say… this games story is okay, but overall this game seems… preetty bad. It was fun for a bit but got more and more tedious to the point of me just sorta… quitting. I bought 3D so I hope its, um, better
this is actually not a slow game(?), compared to KH1 and KH2 i honestly felt like this game had a much faster pace with how the plot was moving. We didn't spend that much time running around Disney worlds solving their problems. The story is great too, if u own a copy of it on the ps4/ps3/psp i really suggest giving it another try
@@rhazzzz I think he was referring to the combat system lol. It is really slow and it doesn’t help at all in final boss battles either. I had to drop it I couldn’t handle it
@@realmaluchiha ah i see, i mean i guess i can see how you'd feel that way as this was a game made for the psp so i think making a slower combat system was to compensate for the reduced number of buttons and the smaller screen. This was my first KH game as a kid back then so i guess im biased towards it haha
