Alright, in hindsight, I wasn't being fair to Xehanort's character; it's not like he isn't a competent villain or doesn't get anything done. Really, my main problem with him is that it doesn't feel like he was meant to be a recurring villain. Obviously, he is now, but when you like at how Ansem and Xemnas were handled in 1 and 2, it feels more like Nomura intended for them to be finished of in their respective games and didn't get the idea to bring them back until later.

In KH3 it was revealed that ansem n xemnas were using replicas in order to come back again in DDD + 3... plus Xehanort is literally mentioned by name in KH2 by Mickey. They showed Terra-Xehanort in kh2, I think this was planned all along tbh, sadly. Considering replicas have been a thing since COM..

Time travel in this series is the easiest thing to understand.

CJAdams97 Yes, we are. The thing that often makes time travel hard to grasp is its ability to change the past. Only in this story, it is a stated rule that it CANNOT CHANGE THE PAST. All that can be possibly changed is the future.

They actually planned for Maleficent to be the final villain but only added Ansem to increase chances of a sequel. Thanks to that decision we even have this series. This whole series is centered around the machinizations of Xehanort as much as it is about Sora, be near impossible to have another saga

Sjono What I think would be a great way of continuing the series is if they move away from Sora and all the Keyblade wielders of light. Instead, they should focus on the true Thirteen Darknesses because I refuse to believe Xehanort and his group of clones are actually the darknesses that split off from the X-Blade. What if they focus on a child born with a heart of pure darkness and go the route of showing that just because you have a heart of darkness, it doesn't make you evil. I think Mickey even said something like that in KH2 about how they shouldn't be afraid of the darkness but the people that lurk inside it. Then they could make a villain that is too obsessed with the light, first brought up with Eraqus, and show the prejudices against the darkness and such. I think something like this would be an awesome follow up to the Dark Seeker Chronicle.

I feel like the next saga may feature the Master of master's as a villian. But i'm sure his story will tie into kh3.

Yes, they do get all their memories recalled, however in terms of Roxas' memories, that is because Sora co-existed with Roxas, so when Roxas joined with Sora, it was not under the same circumstances as the rest of the Organization. Roxas and Sora are 2 separate beings one may say, so I guess the memories were still with Roxas.

So it's guaranteed that all of the former Organization XIII members' human selves (besides Sora) will have retained their memories as Nobodies? That's good to know, because that would mean that favorite members aren't completely lost! Ienzo, Aeleus, and Lea still got Zexion, Lexaeus, and Axel with them, and now I'm hoping to see Demyx and Luxord either return again or their human personas.

SuiCaedere i don't think it learned it. Robed Figure was just a heart made of darkness, it didn't had a body like other heartless, hence his supernatural powers. At least i think that explains why he can time travel, because of the nature of his being and the power he helds

The robbed figure(Ansem SOD), is xehanort's heartless, i'm sure he has rhe know he has the knowledge because of old xehanort.

I hope they never add anything else to his backstory.

BasicallyRagin It is said to time travel that you need to leave your body. Going off that then it is possible that when Sora became a heartless losing his body he was able to jump time for a short while (depending on when roxas actually came to being). I am not saying it is likely to have happened but it is possible with the lore of kingdom hearts.

This might be completely coincidental, but did anyone else notice that Sora and Riku start off Kingdom Hearts DDD as their younger selves on the raft, and when Sora went to see what was going on in the first game, the raft happened to be gone. It may be nothing, but this was the game that first introduced time travel after all.

There is a chance that the 7 lights and 13 darkness's are symbolic. When the X-Blade was shattered, was literally hundreds if not thousands of years ago. Those 7 princesses would not still be alive all that time, we saw Kairi as a lil kid so they obviously age and die. I believe there may be reincarnation, hearts rejoin and leave Kingdom Hearts through death and birth, and they reincarnate. So when MX brings all 13 Seekers of Darkness together, they are each literally reincarnations in a symbolic manner.

FourTimesIsBetter Yeah, but they weren't the 13 Darknesses until Xehanort fused part of his heart with them. This implies that somehow, Xehanort was born with a part of pure darkness, but as he likely started off as a Keyblade wielder of light training along side Eraqus, I highly doubt this.

Vanitas and Ventus fused creating a partial X-Blade. How did it do that, seeing as Ventus is not a Princess of Heart? It is symbolic. Like the 7 Guardians of Light face the 13 Seekers to create the X-Blade. The Guardians are symbolic of the real 7 Princesses of Heart. The 13 Seekers of Darkness are merely symbolic as well, more likely then not. Also, watch the teaser for KH 3. Young Xehanort tells Young Eraqus the story of darkness prevailing and light expiring. Hardly sounds like a keyblade wielder of light to me. Xehanort was curious, like Riku, and that opened him to darkness long ago. The fact he accepted his mission from Ansem so readily, meant he was always dark somewhere. He probably hid it while training, and didn't show it like Terra, thus completing the Mark of Mastery.

No it kinda doesn't. They can make up whatever fucking bullshit they want to TRY and explain it, but at the end of the day it's clearly just lazy-ass writing to connect a few minor things together, ruin the nature of Organization 13 with retcons, and toss around all sorts of references.

He mentioned he'd already planned Birth By Sleep by the time 2 came out, so I'm just figuring based on that. Besides, anyone who read the Ansem Reports should've noticed something odd (myself included). The first entry was all about how he must protect his people from the heart's darkness. Then, in the very next entry, he starts performing inhumane experiments and seems to value knowledge much more than people. That's WAY too much of a 180 too quickly, as if the first entry was written by an entirely different Ansem... which, as revealed later, it was.

No it wouldn't because they go back to the origional time and loose memories of everything they learned about the future. Now if they get destroyed in the future... that could be problematic.

Even though all those Xehanorts have returns, I suspect the present one will find a way to bring them back. Memories and data can take form in this story... The actual rule is that you need to leave your physical body behind. Becoming a Heartless isn't the only way to pull this off; you could do it just as easily by becoming a dream of yourself, like Sora and Riku did. After all, you can dream up past and future things right here in the present, can't you?

Its explained that whenever a Nobody (Xemnas) and a Heartless (Ansem) pass on, the original returns. Thus, the return of Master Xehanort.

Duke It also spells out "Another" without the X. Hence why in the cutscene in KH2FM he types in ANOTHER in Ansem's computer to gain access to the secret area beneath Radiant Garden.

I imagine the irony might be intended, but based on what's said and written in the games (like in reports), it refers to other aspects of their nature Majority of Heartless act almost completely on instinct. Due to their drive to consume hearts and return them to Darkness, they will ruthlessly attack anyone regardless of age, condition etc. (Ie. They're _heartless._ ) The creation of Nobodies was seen as defying the natural laws of the world; this is best shown by how bizzare and alien Lesser Nobodies are, even for KH. As beings who start off with no Hearts of their own, and in their creation were "rejected" by Light and Darkness, they're at risk of vanishing, like what should've happened. This is why characters describe them as being "non-existent" or similar terms, including Nobodies themselves. (Ie. They're _nobody._ )

@@zaqareemalcolm Makes sense, but als, not really. It's devastating to the people who got their hearts taken, but the real victims in the KH universe are the poor young anatomy students... It definitely explains why the few doctor characters, like Ansem and Ienzo, are all nuts. Can anyone truly blame them? I mean, even the late Apprentice Xehanort couldn't handle the pressures of studying for the final exams, so much so, that he comitted suicide... May he, um, (I wanna say "rest in peace" but that's not how dying works over there)
