+warrassus we basically drive the mantis to extinction. We massacre their kind, kill their queen and then kill all their greatest warriors. Legit there'd be nothing but drones left.
You are probably joking, but it actually kind of does. Back in the old days there were weapon skills that slowly increased when you were attacking with a specific weapon. There were target dummies since vanilla wow, but they were not attackable. Because of this, people either had to increase their weapon skills by fighting regular mobs, or they had to find a mob that was not too dangerous but essentially immortal. Iirc there were mobs like this in the Blasted Lands. Anyway, Blizzard eventually caved in and introduced attackable target dummies. They have removed weapon skills quite a while ago, but the dummies are still irreplaceable since they allow you to easily test your character's damage output.
Mikuláš Palme I wasn't actually joking, I really did refer to what you mentioned :P Played WoW from early BC all the way till mid cata then again at MoP, so I remember these things :P
Could you please do "The Ancient One"?? The card you get when you have 2 "blood of the ancient one" on the board. It seems really interesting, and I'm not sure which old god it's supposed to be (if any), and quite frankly, I didn't even know about the card (and a lot of people don't) (:
Don't know if he can cover it in 5 minutes, as his story before MoP isn't much as far as I'm aware, but the entire expansion revolves around his influence.
They probably decided that Veklor would summon his brother instead of the other way around because he has a a more simple way. That way the dialog needed to be changed since the first emperror needs to proclaim that the feast begins now, and the second urging us to join.
Do one on the Drakonid Crusher and any other Drakonaar (the bipedal humanoid/dragon creatures that you can see around other dragons like in Wyrmrest Temple). I don't know of much lore about them, but i'm sure Nobbel knows more!
I'm pretty sure the Obsidian Destroyers used to be Tol'vir that were sent to guard C'thun's prison, but the imprisoned Old God warped them into their current state. The interesting thing is that the Nerubians also had Obsidian Destroyers that were taken by the Lich King after the War of the Spider. They were used as shock troops during the Third War, but oddly enough they never appeared in Wrath.
Fun fact: One of the emperors would cast away the person with the highest amount of threat on him. Because of this, Warriors, the classic master tank, couldn't tank him. This gave rise to warlocks who would tank with Searing Pain, and, less known but still viable, Mage ice block tanking.
Their lines are not the other way around. Vek'nilash is the first who talks as the Battecry is activated before Vek'lor is summoned (as with all Battlecry cards). If there is a problem, it is with the animation that is not showing the correct order.
How about Dreadsteed next? I know there was a questline in older wow versions where you actually had to work for it, would be great to revisit that in all its details! Also its my favourite HS card of all!
I love love love the old God lore. It would be amazing to find out the "Titan soul" within Azeroth was truly N'zoth the entire time and the events of Azeroth were but a game created by him to amuse himself until he could truly be born. Sargeras turning on the Pantheon everything... all of N'zoths design.
Lore after warcraft 3 and then 20 heroes killed this guy and then 40 heroes killed that guy and 25 people killed that guy will make for some awesome movie plots no doubt XD
I think the way raids are treated in lore is that major good guys (Fandral, nozdormu for cthun, Tirion for arthas, etc) lead an army of ally and horde soldiers to kill the guys rather than a small group of heroes. But it seems that it's changing after warlords and the commander stuff
That's kind've the thing about WoW, there is allot of the times no real character in lore that can take the place of "40 people". Sometimes there is, and it makes allot more sense when they do, but most times they just say "Ehh,... not important" when it's entirely important when it comes to lore.
+wh41 No, the players are acknowledged in parts of the lore in a way, simply called "adventurers" or "champions of the Horde and Alliance". I think the vanguard of named npc:s that got killed off during the WoD intro questline (and similar groups) count among these as well.
Many of the bosses are given boss mechanics for the game alone. When Arthas fought Illidan, he wasn't summoning Flames of Azzinoth or using Metamorphoses. And Arthas wasn't using any DK spells. It was a regular duel. Onyxia was killed by Varian and a few friends. Mannoroth was killed by Grommash.
The true question about them and basically every boss in the game should be the following: How big are they lore wise? In the raid they are ridiculously oversized.
Hello Nobbel, will you make in the future the story of Mannoroth? (I mean for warcraft not hearthstone) I really like that big guy and i want to know more , if you can thx :D
wait, but there's something that has always bothered me. So, they look like night elves, or at least humanoids of some sort. Hard to say with those masks and stuff. But they're C'Thun's most powerful servants and they are commanding Qiraji. How does that work? I thought the Qiraji hated non-insectoids?
Hey Nob y' check the news tab on the B-net launcher? well one of the new Jaina pics made me think: is she being influenced by the Old Gods? My guess is N'zoth, y' know the thing who made Deathwing become Deathwing. my guess is that in a later patch or x-pac we have a raid that has us fight her and N'zoth in a epic and badass battle which finalizes in Deathwing rezzing and murdering him with fire and causing the Old God curling up into ashes which probably won't have the affect that just killing I'm outright would have. Another thing i thought of was: what if killing all the Old Gods on one planet makes it explode, BUT killing them one at a time doesn't have that affect.
I don't think he will respond but do the lore on the epl cause it's one of my favorite zones and what are the trolls doing there and was epl named after the town darrowshire or the other way around plz respond back thanks keep up the good work
Zen I know, that is why I want a video on it. Remind you that there are HS lore videos on Annoy-o-tron, The Coin, Angry Chicken, Ogre Ninja. I want to see how nobbel will react and I want to hear him speculate Ragnaros being resurrected and joining the Army of Light.
In an alternate universe, the world and the elemental plane became corrupt by the old gods. Ragnaros was already corrupt so he became a double negative and said Live, Insect. The end.
Seems to be the blood of a servant of an old god. The Ancient one looks like it might be a servant of Y'shaarj, so there might be possibly something if you want to stretch things a bit.
hey nooble you forgot the huge centuries long war between them and the troll empires that lead to the nubrians and them to become different nurbians went north and they went south
Well silithus was a wasteland so it just makes alot of Since to make it nice right? Fandrel didn't know about C'thun so don't blame him about this problem
For the artwork, it's just that most minor characters in Wow that turns into legendaries in Hearthstone don't have official artwork, And for the voice lines, it's probably just hard for Blizzard to remember which twin says what, and so they don't think the players will care either :)
with the voice tracks it does make it cooler that the first card getting summoned, Vek'Lor says "The feast of souls begins now". That might be some of the reasoning behind it.
He's a dungeon boss in wrath in the nexus, where the blue dragons create a rift that leaks arcane energy which coalesced into a conscious being known as anomalus who just destroys stuff around him
hey nobbel recently i died in the darkmoon faire and saw a guy how says that he ran away from strom, he joined the faire as a child and he told silas darkmoon he never wanted to see his family again so strom existed 1000 years ago right so how old is silas darkmoon??
Hi, Nobbel! what about the rumor that Twin Emperors are 2 parts of Fendral`s son defiled body? I saw this in ru section of wowhead, can it be true or you have proof that it`s wrong theory?
i cant find this anywhere and i need help, can someone explain to me why warlocks have the spell unending breath? what in the lore says they can do this?
+Arthur Laubach and Nobbel has done the lore of Annoy-o-tron AND Mysterious Challenger. At least N'Zoth has been mentioned by several NPCs in-game, not to mention the EXTENSIVE coverage he received in the World of Warcraft Chronicle: Volume 1 that was released in April.
