Does the Arkansas River connect on its' Eastern end to the Mississippi River? If so, perhaps since the Mississippi's Northern end either empties into or flows from one of the Great Lakes, maybe Lake Superior Agates come down by that way into the Arkansas River. Back in the latter 1960's, I read a very interesting article in The Lapidary Journal about the Mississippi River and Lake Superior Agates. As I recall, it mentioned that LSA have been moved/tumbled down the Mississippi eons ago, and some have been found in gravel beds or in gravel companies dredging the river for rocks/stones. ** Many years later, after reading the article, I was in mid-central Mississippi and phoned a gravel company to ask if I could get a variety of sizes of stones from their company, and was told that I could and did. The young man I spoke with there said that his parents over the years had dredged up agates & other stones they couldn't identify. Had even contacted a local rock, mineral & gem club for help in identifying some stones. ** Just a theory or guess, on my part. Enjoyed your video, stone hunting along the river. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like it flows Southeast from Wichita until it joins the Mississippi River in the Mississippi/Arkansas border just north of lake Whittington! That information is super interesting though! It's crazy to think of how far some of these have come from their original source. Or maybe some of the sources are actually closer than we think
