Hey guys, Unbiased here. It’s quite late at night so I’ll make this brief. First off I just want to thank Social for helping me with audio (I know my mic quality is shit) and for encouraging me to finish this project. There is an outstanding 3 part series a woman named ivodora posted to RU-vid. Ivodora is the name of her channel. My conclusion on Herold after watching that is that he was indeed a sadist. He did not have to do what he did if he was merely just trying to survive. He went out of his way to murder people. Nevertheless, this person and what transpired with him has come to be the most fascinating story I’ve ever heard of from the war.

The movie does a good job to persuade the viewers to ask themselves what they would have done and if they would have been as sharp as Willi. Of course the movie isn't word for word but it definitely makes you wonder what actually happened. Also in the beginning I did think he is doing this to survive. An hour or so in my opinion changed, he saw the power that he held and used it without a doubt, at least in the movie.

The British did not attack the camp, they attacked a target nearby, which was said to be an anti aircraft outpost, and two of the bombs hit the camp in the nearby field

The other commanders did nothing because near the end of the war execution in camps and mass executions was always done.

They sealed their own fate by letting herold run wild though. I think all but one of them were executed as well.

In the movie Harold conducted himself like a real Nazi captain…. Like any SS and waffen SS would… a complete monster…. Hitler would have awarded him a metal for it

There is one other country in wich a lot of young men take it upon themselves to go on a deranged killing spree from time to time. It seems some can't be trusted if given immense power over the life and death of others.
