he's a perfect character for defensive players and a nightmare for rushdown players. he's a heavy counter against leona or even projectile spammers like athena. he has a decent range with his flickerjabs heavily preventing to jump in or rushdown , and can be used to poke zoners. and if a rushdown gets too close he can rely on his dp+P or my favourite dp+LK or you can command grab them if they opt. to defend his supers are command grabs as well so basically if you don't put pressure if you're too close to him you are fucked.. best way to defend against a good yamazaki player is keep going for offensive if you're close , he has slow start up on some of his attacks with the exception of his dp+HK and and unique normal attacks. do not get too close to him keep a safe distance if you're on the defensive usually you can block low and you'll be safe from most of his ranged attacks. a good yamazaki players are usually patience don't get baited if they usually on the defensive. his realbout 2 incarnation is probably the best.
