Mean lately if he isn't the blond and white then the doctor is, in an original who he was always never talking down to people he expected people to either ask if they didn't understand something or to get it by watching and observing, reminds me of a certain teacher I had it who was the same way... Most people found him absolutely maddening than having to deal with however I had learned a trick with dealing with him watch was if you played dumb but not completely dumb, I would pump his ego to the point of it being so big that you couldn't help but pop it, he would then realize that he was being an a$$. I used to have fun getting him to that point for one reason and one reason only because I could see how much was frustrating the other students in the class, his excuse was they should be smart enough to figure it out by what he did or conversely know how to ask the question in such a way that when he had to give the answer he did not need to give a long explanation, like one would have to do with either to quote him idiots or small children... I suppose it had to do with the fact he's a man of a certain time and generation... But I never thought that was a good enough excuse. The truth is none of the students were little kids, but none of them were college-educated either at least most of them hadn't been there were a few of us who were exceptions, me I had always known when they were people who had a bad God complex I was about 10 my adopted Irish grandfather to thank for that, when I was six or seven years old I forget now how old is exactly what I was about that age he saw I was having a hard time dealing with certain types of suggested I study something called psychology, it's a type of head learning it tells you how people think and people relate to other people and why they behave this way once you know that you might be able to understand them well enough to deal with them I can't say that it helped entirely but it gave me an insight into what I have to deal with sometimes and I've always been thankful to him for that insight. PS If you got to the bottom of this please understand I'm using voice to text and I can't write because of my hands so I can't fix anything, I can only hope you understand what I'm trying to say I never saw the early Doctor Who not sticky not any of them and I always wondered what became of Ian and Susan and all the others and added Vicky end up staying in room and I never saw the episode and there was no chance for me to see it because certain ones were already missing... So now that Disney can we play the maybe I'll go and see it on Disney, even though I don't really like Disney.

@@CubedSausagefromScarparius Well @DrWhoFanJ wasn't saying she was Trojan, just Trojan times. Which fits in with what @Dokka Chapman wrote about *living in* the time, not *being from* the time.

@@CubedSausagefromScarparius I'm not reading all of that, but I am going to say that it's ok to say "Trojan times" in reference to her as that's her adopted era as she stays there at the end of her TV tenure. So from the pov of this scene she's from that era.

Hmm... would her antibodies be more advanced or more lacking due to global elimination of diseases? So intriguing to think about!

I did. It was an open secret. Just like season 20 which will follow after that one. The only question was how they would deal with the missing episodes of The Crusade.

Curious what they mean by enhanced soundtrack. If they meant 5.1 they would have said so, have they added some stuff to it like with the Destiny enhanced soundtrack?

@Emily An here's hoping! It would be nice if we could get a new generation of fans to appreciate the Classic series, especially since the First Doctor gets so little recognition. I'm not a hundred percent sure whether or not it was Emily Cook, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

This trailer appears to be derived from some background information given in the audio story "Frostfire", where Vicki (still under her alias of Cressida) and Troilus eventually abandon Aeneas in his journey to find a new home and both settle down in Carthage. The girl, Sophia, appears to be her granddaughter (although it's hard to square the mention of Sophia's mother with the fact that "Frostfire" states that Vicki and Troilus had two sons but no daughters...)

@@gordontaylor2815 thanks for the information! I haven't listened to Frostfire, but I might have to put it on my "to listen" list. It would be cool if they really did draw inspiration from it and used these trailers to reaffirm some Big Finish canonicity.

Precisely, the cost of that is high, and given it's something that's only part of a box set, it's just not economical.

@@EdSigma Crusade would have gotten a solo release first if they had decided to animate the missing episodes.

It's more that BBC America have pulled funding, so unless they find a new partner there's not going to be anymore animations period...

I am super excited about this release but I am disappointed about telesnaps in the crusade, these box sets make a fortune, if they release season 3 without animations it would be unwatchable

With the final 12th Doctor story bringing back the 1st Doctor, I'm sure there plenty of newer fans excited to see more of the 1st Doctor Who!

Plus, given 20 includes The Five Doctors, it would make a bit more sense to save it for next year, when it can tie into the anniversary.

Supposeibly the animation will be used when their respective sets come out.

@@Nikioko which is why the technique for animating the web of fear was developed. I'm very disappointed that we're only getting reconstructions.

@@kennethraymondmoore The animation of Web of Fear is quite bad. Just look at Lethbridge-Stewart. But anyway, since BBC America announced that they would withdraw their funding, it was clear that there would be no further animations than those which were already announced. So, everything other than a telesnap reconstruction would have been a miracle.

@@jaytender4949 As with all missing episodes, the sound from the Myth Makers still exists, so you can get the CD and experience this awesome story for yourself. They're also plenty of fan photo reconstructions of the story with sound on the internet.
