No idea how this popped up but I’m glad. Seeing Jane’s & Alec’s backstory is so sad. I can see why Jane despised humans so much. She and Alec were treated so horribly. Man, this would make an awesome series on Netflix or even on its own.
the only human who was nice to them was their mother, and the other humans killed her as well. Willing to bet that alone makes them think there's no need to pity or respect humans.
They probably are so cold and “evil” in twilight bc they despise humans. They were only really children, so they have not grown enough to move past vengsnce. Also, they feel a great depth to aro for saving them. I can go on but yk lol
Aro's timing couldn't have been more perfect. He arrived just in time to save them. And in the process he not only destroyed their enemies, but he also avenged their mother. Even without Chelsea, The Twins would have been Loyal to Aro for Eternity.
To be so honest, I loved Twilight, but I would have loved Twilight a thousand and ten times more if this had been included. I loved Jane and Alec's powers in the movie and Dakota Fanning as an actress. It would have been awesome to see her portray this side of Jane. The vulnerable human and then Jane, the sadistic vampire.
Reminds me a lot of Katherine on The Vampire Diaries, and how she lost her humanity after becoming a vampire. Her story was able to be fleshed out over several years instead of being condensed into a movie. A Twilight TV series would be an improvement!
Sadly they rather wasted screentime on the muscle boy. I wouldn't mind if at very least it was active one and it added some plot to the series but it didn't. And long very long startings, silences and just fluff (I got they are in love, now give me some plot). And I know it was Bella-Edward romance but the backstories of other characters seem more interesting and should have been exploited more the fact that the last film probably is the most interesting one tells something. The one in which Bella traveled to Vatican was such a disaster it was like 75% of her being sad and depressed something that could have been resumed in less time and maybe show us more of the Volturi scenes which again was the most interesting part of the film and it turned like 7 minutes(?). Conclusion not a bad idea bad execution could tell the same about the books (which I'm guilty of reading, don't judge everyone in my class read it so I just had) too much description of long starings and silences but I remember liking the backstories parts. At least I didn't fall for the fanfiction based on Twilight aka ”Fifty Shades of Grey”.
Can you imagine how their powers would have manifested and grown if they had grown older? Jane's power wasn't only to inflict pain and Alec's wasn't only to take away senses. Their powers were sculpted by their feelings and experiences of receiving hate from others. If they lived in a happy and loving environment, they could have been so much more!
I feel like in this case if it was their up bringing Alice’s “Pain” could’ve been reversed or even had a second power and basically be like a glorified Jasper and given people happiness or sorrow, not only just pain.
the story of Jane was very well detailed and showed she was the opposite of wicked and cruel in her past. It's explained in various videos and websites that tried to get the history an facts straight. perhaps the wikia page explains it now too.
@@imlimonglatlongchar7438 It's a short (back)story of 3 characters from the Twilight saga novels written by Stephanie Mayer. This video was produced as a small contest so there's no more but you can read a little more about them on the twilight wikia fandom or in her books.
Aro saved their lives, so Jane loved Aro more than anyone in the world and even more than herself, which, in fact, is not typical for a vampire. And her gift is quite understandable. Go through such a monstrous horror and experience the PAIN from your fellow tribesmen ...? !!! Of course, then she wanted revenge, and for EVERYONE to feel pain from her influence. And Alec received his gift, most likely because he wanted to RID his beloved sister from pain and suffering. Alec wanted her to stop FEELING what was being done to her. Here everyone is honest: the evil done to others always returns to the master of intentions. The world is a MIRROR! "Good and evil are two sides of the same MEDAL, and what you receive and sow depends on your morality!" Humanity itself gives rise to demons and monsters such as VAMPIRES. People hurt and hurt each other and you have to pay for that! - and this video is a vivid confirmation of this.
@user-jx8wk2ym7f look for The storytellers new voices of the twilight saga and you are going to find some of the stories of the vampires, like Alice, Aro, Marcus
Watching all the back stories of these characters just made me wish that the twilight saga had included them into the movie or at least made a separate movie to all these back stories. It gives them more of a character then what we see presented in the twilight movie.
Coming back to this because i love Aro here. This was what he's supposed to look. And his mannerisms are perfect. If they ever make a Twilight series, or movie remake they better cast him !
I just found these videos. I'm 26 and I feel like I'm 14 again when I was reading the Twilight books into the wee hours of the morning. Stephanie Meyer should do back stories in book form for some of these other characters, or as some others said in a TV series. Wow, so cool. Acting and character development on these short films are exceptionally better than the Twilight films.
Is Jane really a bad guy or just someone who sees things from a different perspective. She went through so much pain in her life that she and her brother hang onto each other as their only stability. Aro was their saving grace from murder which explains their undoubting loyalty to him and their mistreatment explains their mistrust of humans. For once under Aro’s eyes their gifts were revered and praised not hated and feared. I don’t see them as evil, just someone who lived through something horrible and ended up differently for it.
She sees something in a different perspective but in my opinion she wants people to suffer like she was suffering in a way. But I don't see her as evil.
I seriously don't understand this thinking. I know you are referring to pretend characters, but it sounds as if you believe that people who have experienced trauma should be excused when they choose to harm others? Are you saying that, because of their experiences, they have no choice but to do terrible things? I just thought maybe you should think about that a little. See, the problem is that MANY, MANY people experience horrible, traumatic things in life (some people go through things you probably can't even imagine) BUT, nearly every person who lives in/through trauma are able to move on with their lives as normal, law abiding humans... I believe EVERYONE should be in therapy (especially when there is trauma to work though) but even most of those who don't get professional help don't end up being murderers... The point is: being abused by others is NEVER an EXCUSE to abuse!! People MUST be held accountable for themselves. At some point, Jane and Alec made the decision to do terrible things... They are definitely "the bad guys" now!
Also, there is right and wrong. It is NOT right to kill people, that's not a "different perspective" that's a horrible choice! Don't forget Jane's evil little smile as she tortures and kills other vampires... She's DEFINITELY evil!!
I loved all these fanfilms, it's movie quality!!! Please, do make more!!! This one and Mary Alice's are perfect, the acting, the scenario... I would love to watch a Rose and Emmet, how they met, how they fell for each other... And also a special Renesmee and Jacob...
These aren’t fan films. They’re made by Lionsgate (who produced the movies) and endorsed by the author, the director of the movies and the actress who played Bella.
According to the books, Jane and Alec were burned at the stake by their village before Aro turned them- so the pain she inflicted onto others is that of the sensation of being consumed by fire 🔥
*That makes no sense😂 According to you, behind bad person there's another bad one who created them, right? Well, then there must've someone ELSE who created that second bad person... and someone else must be behind that third evil person, and so on. So then there's no one to blame because it's infinite... The real answer lies in: it doesn't matter if bad people hurt you. You don't (and shouldn't) become bad like them and hurt other people. Although understandable, that's unfair to innocent people. Besides, you should never let bad people turn you bad, into something that you weren't. Don't give them that power... We all have the choice to be good. If you choose not to because some evil people hurt you so you then hurt innocent people, it's nor right. And it's your fault. We all must take responsibility for our actions.*
So good. So so good. Twilight was wasted just because by the concentration on Bella and Edward. I know the books were about them, but come on. All these characters have such interesting and deep stories, give that shit to HBO or something and they make a new TV show out of it.
Artemya... ummm it was not wasted. THATS who the story was written about. It was written about those two characters. I actually liked the Bella and Edward story. Now that I'm finding these other little tidbits of background stories, I like them as well! But just remember that these background stories would not exist without the Edward and Bella story to begin with!
But without Bella and Edward, there would be no story. And if it did end up being a story, there would be no connection between Bella and Edward and the plot and story would be very messy.
Yes! And the fact that the villagers actually look dirty and poor. So tired of seeing historical scenes where everything is pristine and all the people look like models 😂
No idea why this popped up on my feed, but I am so glad it did! I read the books before knowing there was a movie in the works, and then was so incredibly let down with the movies. This short was a bajillion times better than all the movies! Echoing several other commentors, I would also love to see this as a series. Great job!! 👌👌👌
"THIS WILL ONLY HURT A LITTLE" Love these, gives us a better understanding to the characters. Reading the credits, interesting that one of the 2 writers first name is CULLYN... Good job👏
Oh my God I love these! The depth of this series was seriously overshadowed in both the books and the movies. I love seeing more into the side characters. I sooooo want to see Aros backstory. This actor was *chefs kiss*
He was smiling, polite, and showed kindness and interested. Considering the townspeople, she probably thought the encounter was refreshing even if it was a little weird.
@@OoFaeHeartoO their comment is quite valid to be honest. Please note that the story did not happen in today's Era. Back then, Aro, due to is fine clothes and well manners, would probably be considered someone wealthy and important, and it would be more than ignorant to dismiss a man like that. So yeah
*We are not created. We all have to choice to be good and become better and not let ourselves turn bad because someone else hurt us so now we became bad and hurt innocent people... that's, although understandable, not fair and not ok. Even if people hurt you, you shouod choose to be good*
Funny how in movies we see them as "villains" and we hate them. But here, seeing from the point of view of their origin, they really were the victims of their stories, and the "villains" were others, and we sided and rooted for them.
The only thing I’m not liking about this is the fact that their powers show before they are vampires.. and I would assume that they would but not this strong
Correct me if I'm wrong - but I'm pretty sure the twins were some of the few whose powers showed before they turned. That's why the townspeople labeled them as witches and why the volturi caught wind of them in the first place.
@@honeyspicedchai thats true. Being out of the ordinary will betreated witches or cursed Like the story of alice having premonition dats why the people say she's delusional..
Many humans showed supernatural talent before they were turned into vampires. For example, Benjamin had a limited physical control over fire, which allowed him to be an exceptional street performer, and Bella was immune to all psychic powers before she was turned. The twins showed psychic potential as humans, which is why Aro took interest in them. It was clear they had psychic abilities but they hadn’t manifested into specific forms until Jane and Alec were turned.
That's why Aro wanted them in the first place because their gifts presented so strongly when they were human he knew when they became vampires they would be so much stronger. Same reason he took such an interest in Bella. She was already blocking their mental abilities as a human.
So after watching this episode I have to say. I see myself so much into Jane. And even back then when I didn't know her past, I saw myself into Jane. Cold hearted and hate humans. She always had been my fav from all the saga, and all that without even knowing her past. Now that I know. I love her even more, because now I understand why she is that way. We both has been treated like shit by people and that's why we became, who we are. She is bad, she is horrible, she is everything you want. But there is one thing you could never take her away and that is her courage and her unconditional love for her brother. Who might be the only person she actually care about even in the movies.
Wow, now I see why Jane and Alec are the way they are. I would so burn that village to the ground. Did Aro kill Mamma too or did the villagers do that.?
This was such a good film, I'm glad I know more about their backstory now. It's horribly sad that's what happened to them though. I see why they are the way the are in the Twilight Series. It's good they had each other and Aro.
I love this. I think that it is a great interpretation of their human life and I really like the person who played Aro in it. The first three times I watched it I cried when the mob came because I knew what would happen.
I never thought I would be as happy to see Aro as I am at the end of this but I am, because, for as horrible as they become later, in this moment Jane and Alec are just scared children and they don't deserve to die
They were barely teenagers when they were turned. They were innocent once, and once the only other Human in the world who cared for them was murdered. That girl and boy were turned into weapons. They killed with a smile, because the world laughed while their mother died and they burned. The world turned them into what they were, and Aro became not only their Master, but their Father.
Holy crap how am I just now finding this?? So well done. I agree with the masses, why are the other characters stories not being done by Netflix or something
Aro en sevdiğim harakter fakat filmde kotu harakter olarak onu gösterdiler bu video da ne kadar güzel ve efendili konuşuyor Jane onu tekrar gorunce inanılmaz sevimli bir ifade vardı yuzunde
Amazing. Lovely depiction of the story! Love how happy the twins were when they were kids. It shows how much pain they went through to turn into what they are
I loved all of the Twilight novels and movies , but I hate it when people give Kristen Stuart such a hard time saying her acting was bad and the character was awkward and I’m shouting ‘ that’s the whole bloody point!! She is awkward around humans and never felt she quite fit in, she was told to play the role in the way she did and if you’d read the books -she was amazing!! And to watch her grow into the strong Bella we see by the Breaking Dawn books and movies was inspirational! It would be fab to see more depth into some of the backgrounds of the other characters as I loved the snipits we saw in the movies and read in the books but more would be fab!
Lol that’s why I didn’t like the movie because its all about edward and bella’s boring ass lovestory they should’ve explore the side character’s backstories, the movie would’ve been more interesting
This is very good. :) i like this version of twilight behind the eyes of Jane and Alec and ofcpurse aro. And the time where it in happend. The medieval time:)
As of April 2024, Twilight 6 is not in the works because the Twilight film series concluded after five movies released between 2008 and 2012. However, Lionsgate Television is developing a Twilight TV series based on Stephenie Meyer's book series. Sinead Daly, who has written for Tell Me Lies, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and The Get Down, is writing the script. Meyer is also involved in the development, but there is no cast or timeline for when the series will be presented to potential buyers.
So from what I am understanding from this is Alec and Jane already had some supernatural power to them, hence why they were called witches they were basically walking good luck charms and curses depends on how you treat them and once they turned it basically just became torture due to their torture.... sick. But what happened to Jane when she lost it with those boys? Was it her powers showing physically?? Or was it a demon possession?? I love this btw! Alice’s story was really sad.
