"Because you were home." One of the coldest lines in horror. You didn't do anything to anybody but you're going to die for no other reason that we want to kill and "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, we pick you". There's no bargaining with that kinda evil, there's nothing you have that they want except your life and blood.
@noeezyfluff it's so true because most horror movie villains are written with some kind of motive in mind that is driving them to do the things they do that can be explained by a rational mind. Even if it's something a person with a rational mind wouldn't do but the truth is that so many people that commit these atrocities do it just for the thrill of it that it gives them and the rush and for no other reason that they wanted to know what it felt like or they just have done it before and they like the way it feels and I really like that about this movie because it's a very authentic perspective that most movies don't explore
This is an absolute gem when it comes to scary. Its so terrifying that they said not a word until the end. And the reason behind them going after the couple was simple. Because you happen to be home...now that is frightening.
Another home invasion movie that will have you jump out of your seat is Wait Until Dark. A classic thriller with Audrey Hepburn. Stephen King said it was the scariest movie of all time. Just turn off the lights during the final 10 minutes. Makes it easier to see the screen
😂😂😂 I Knew this one was gonna get ya. When Blondie came to the door knocking that first time talking bout “Is Tamara home?”. And I dsaid you got the wrong house and she said “are you sure”? I would have been gathering my things to leave right then
What really sets this movie apart is the way it uses sound to create tension and a sense of dread. All the creaks and bumps, and even songs that aren't scary at all (like the Merle Haggard song) are used in an eerie way. The atmosphere is off the charts disturbing. Thrilled to see Asia and BJ react to this one!
Y’all are just non stop this year 💕👻💚🎃… it’s like you’re both bad ass rockstars putting yourselves through this just to entertain us Lol you’re amazing! Thank you because it’s been awesome, I haven’t seen this one so I’m psyched to watch it with y’all. It’s almost over Asia, almost over, you’re doing so good I already can’t wait for the compilation! And not to leave you out BJ because I just adore you too, you both have priceless reactions that go together so well, and I just fall more in love with the both of you with each one! 😹💜✨✌
i think home invasions are the most terrifying type of movies for horror, cause its the most realistic event that can happen and it does.. especially for country side homes...
Creepiest Soundtrack ever!😂 Fun fact: I was on set playing a nurse to the guy who plays the lead, Scott Speedman, and he was laid out on the hospital bed, I was looking over/tending to him, and said, "I didn't want you to die in that film! You were so sweet!"😂😂 He laughed quietly and said, "Thanks?"❤
"Because you were home" One of the most chilling lines in horror. Was a fun watch @Asia and @Bj kudos to whomever is picking these Horror films for you two :)
This is a good movie but the ending is so tragic and sad! This is actually inspired by two real life event's the multiple homicide Manson family Tate murders and a series of break-ins that occurred in Bertino's neighborhood as a child! The psychopath stranger killers name's Man in the mask, Dollface, & Pin-up Girl!! There are actually sequels to this movie The order is 1. The Strangers 2. The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) 3. The Strangers: Chapter 1 - Chapter 4.. (2024) 5. Future...... Future will be coming out after the chapter series are over!!
@@ReggieWolfpac1 I don't like when actors and storylines are changed unless it's for a good reason like Aquaman 2 it's probably gonna fail bc they didn't remove that lying man abuser Amber heard and it would of been a good movie with a different actress they could of easily put Teresa Palmer in there she looks similar to Amber but just a better version and better actress. And they have had to change the storyline how many times now it's crazy
This is one of the only horror movies that really scared me. Movie recommendations: The Skeleton Key, Trick 'R Treat, Talk To Me, Dead Silence, Rosemary's Baby, Silent Hill, Hocus Pocus and The Haunted Mansion (2023).
A truly frightening sleeper hit. One of the main reasons is because of the subject matter that we ALL can identify with: Home Invasion... this of the absolutely horrific kind. You'd think we're safe IN OUR OWN HOME. THESE weirdos CAME IN and TERRIFIED them. For no reason but the fact that "you were home". Excellent film.
It was minutes into the video before I noticed the imagery on Asia's blanket. That you guys made a blanket with images of past reaction videos is just priceless.
This movie unlocked a fear in me that I never knew existed. I cried later that night the only time I’ve watched it. Just waiting for someone to start pounding on the door. Sigh. I’m hidin right along with you, Asia 😨❤
I'm still hoping y'all do the original Omen movie. It's not a traditional jump scare/slasher movie (but it does have it's moments!). The music in itself is a character. So good in fact, it's the only "horror" movie to win an Oscar for Original Song.😊
This movie is so scary to me. The premise is so simple and makes it very easy to imagine that it could happen to anyone, even yourself. Absolutely terrifying. But they 100% should have used Asia's quote as the subtitle of the movie... "Is there something I can do for you?" Hilarious. Another scary one that also feels real is Vacancy with Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson. Very creepy. Thanks for the reaction!
This movie was filmed in Florence, SC - a town 1. my best friend is from 2. I used to drive through all the time to and from college. I have a weird pride that this movie was filmed in my home state.
The reason this is SO terrifying is that it’s based on a true story. I saw this years ago me have never been able to watch it again. Even watching a reaction is hard to watch. 😬
The reason why they didn't give a motive or show their faces is to leave the strangers as a blank slate. They can be anybody and can show up at anyone's door, anytime. It's to let the viewer know, the threat is out there and can come in any form.
You do keep 'em coming this one did scare me give me ghosts and demons cuz I got Jesus but what people do to each other horrifies me Happy Halloween 🎃☠️🌾🍁👻
the creepiest movie i’ve seen in so long. no freddy/jason type, ghost, monster. just 3ppl terrorizing and killing a couple simply bc “ they were home “
I love you guys so much 😂 just genuine, loving, funny people! So glad I found your channel 🖤 Asia is definitely gonna get freaked out by this, get the blanket ready 👀 chilling out at 1am watching this! Have a great night guys 💯
When this came out, I was still in my watching movies on the internet bootleg phase (come get me coppas). I was so enamored with Liv Tyler pouring a glass of water and drinking it that I completely missed the stranger in the background until one of the audience members in the theater on the recording shouted "ah hell no! You have to get out of there honey!". To this day I cannot watch this movie with a straight face
My sister watched this after I told her about it. She was so disturbed by it she won't watch it again. She said the ending, especially when Liv Tyler is screaming, was too real.
🔪 🔪 🔪 Yessssssss :) Finally, you guys are doing THE STRANGERS. I've been hoping you guys would do this one. I can't wait to see Asia grab them blankets :) it's very rare for me to see a modern horror movie that is actually good ( I prefer the older classics) but this one is done right. This is in my top 5 horror - of all time. Loosely based on the Manson - Tate/Labianca murders, this movie is packed with constant suspense and pure terror. Make sure you got the volume turned up and most importantly, Enjoy :) 🎃 🎃 🎃
❤ Asia?? BJ?? These are the kind of movies that should terrify ANYONE! Because these are the things that can really happen. Terrifying!!! Hey BJ?? Get our sweet Asia a bigger blanket!!!!😢❤❤❤
This movie to me is the scariest thing I’ve seen as an adult. It’s nothing paranormal, just regular people terrorizing and killing for no reason. They just chose them. What’s even more terrifying is that this actually happens or has happened in real life.
My sisters and i saw this in the theater, completely empty except for the three of us. My youngest sister had her eyes covered the whole time, I had my fingers in my ears and I was peeping through my fingers, and my middle sister pretended she wasn't bothered when really she only made it through without covering her eyes because she was looking at us more than the screen.
So a couple of comments: 1) It was worth watching the whole video just to see that jump scare at the very end, because I knew that was going to get you! 2) In watching this reaction video I noticed something I can't quite figure out. The time sequence doesn't make sense. I am very good at deciphering the time of year and timelines of movies partly because of my training in meteorology. At the beginning of the movie we see it's 4:05 am. Not long thereafter we see it's about 4:32 am. But the events that have passed in that time don't seem likely to happen in only 27 minutes - the guy left the house and came back. Where can you go and return from and do something important when your life is being threatened in only 27 minutes??? That's another time question. It seems unlikely that all of this could have happened before the sun rose, or at least before there was any dawn light in the sky. Notice how it's pitch black basically the entire movie until the ending scene when it's bright day. We know from the intro this is based on real events from around February 11th. By that time of year the sun would be rising early enough anywhere in the USA such that there would be some light in the sky by around 6:30 am local time most anywhere. I just don't think all of this could have happened in the amount of night left before the sun rose. 3) Of all the movies I have ever seen this one has been one of the most disturbing. Why? Because it's plausible horror. Unlike supernatural horror for which Stephen King is well known this is a story of people being murderous to others, and for no reason other than "because you were home". I cannot easily watch this movie because it's basically a movie about boundary violation. As someone who was deeply traumatized I can tell you I would have been fighting back long before these two finally did. It's like they were almost inviting their attackers to victimize them as long as possible. Sheesh, STAND UP for yourself and fight back. The second time that girl shows up and asks for Tamara, after ALREADY being told nobody was there by that name, I would be calling the police. Who shows up at 4 am to ask for someone and then stands outside in the distance to look intimidating. CALL THE POLICE and/or get your gun out! I personally really enjoyed watching the sequel once I first heard that the attackers from the first movie got a taste of their medicine. And I mean a strong taste! Amazing to watch grown adults allow themselves to be victimized to the point of death. And, yes, you can tell I have thought a lot about this movie! LOL. 😜😜😜😜😜😂
The Stangers is a crazy film. It's a good, but terribly tragic story. Definitely scared me for the last 15 years every time I look out a window at night! lol. Like, I better not see nobody creepin out there
OK, so I’m enjoying this. and I’m finding myself saying “Just wait, you haven’t gotten to the good part yet!” every. time. y’all start to get scared. Y’all are hilarious!
Lol. BJ saying, “Let’s just have a pocket full of bullets I guess.” reminded me of Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls On Parade”. If you know, you know.
There's a strangers trilogy coming out next year that's going to explore the strangers and answer your questions but they said every question they answer they'll be more questions especially by the end of last film but don't worry more movies planned after that lol. Yay strangers cinematic universe lol. I've been waiting for this since two thousand eight. Yayyyyyyyy can't wait lol.
The guy who had the idea for this movie. He said when he was a kid there were some brake ins in his neighborhood. They would come to the house and ask if someone was there. So they would know that someone was home. And other part was the Manson family.
They did it all just for fun and this couple answered the door. I heard you said Dead Silence. That is a freaky movie, scary stuff. I guess it will be released on RU-vid soon.
Asia BJ, Eddy here again , this was filmed about 40 miles from my house near Florence SC ! The guy who lives there just got paid for several months and moved out for Steven Tyler’s daughter to make this movie lol! Anyway, love the channel ! The house is just normal house !
One of the most haunting parts of this movie is the music especially the first song that skips. That stayed with me a long time after seeing it the first time.
I could not finish watching this reaction. This movie is too much! I am totally unfazed by horror 99% of the time, but I saw this in theaters when it came out and it messed me up real good. My great-great grandparents' country home is still in the family, and we can go there anytime. I used to go there every weekend... until I saw this. I literally never spent another weekend there. I stay here in inner-city St. Louis where if something terrible is going to happen to me, it's probably going to happen fast and without creepy door knocks and masks and axes.
I like the fact that it's a type of pyschological horror home invasion film it's so scary it builds your fear cause it can happen to literally anyone, I remember when I first watched it as a kid probably around 12 or 13 and I learned not to open the door or talk to strangers. I watched this movie like 7 times. The Strangers were like playing with the couple kinda like cat and mouse game they was praying on them sometimes Killers/murders don't always need a reason to kill, soemtimes they do it for fun so pure evil, they don't care other that they like people to suffer,to be in pain,to die, to see blood the rush of it I guess I do watch a lot of true cimes/murder stories on RU-vid like (Bailey Sarien, Danielle Kristy,Kendall Rae & Eleanor Neale )
So glad y’all finally got around to this masterpiece! One of the things that made this so incredible was all the small things they got right that I’ve never seen done in other films. The moving of the smoke detector alone is enough to make you gulp. Then there’s the smarts of messing with/taking phones and also slowly creeping into frame instead of blatant jump scares each time. Just genius. Great review but my only real beef is that you guys left out the best line of the whole movie! “Because you were home” is possibly the scariest line of all-time! Love y’all but I gotta deduct some cool points there. Np, I’m sure you’ll earn em back on the next review. ✌🏾
The fact that this film was inspired by actual events, which was a mob hit that got covered up. I did research after watching this and the area where the cabin and the area surrounding it has been demolished and noone will talk about what happened and are tightlipped including the police...says it all!! Regarding the film, the fact there is NO SCORE to this film aside from the record skipping on repeat and you are surrounded by the silence of death is what makes this film so damn scary. I am so glad you two loved this film its a personal favourite of mine, as a screenwriter, authour, and film producer I have to say this is one hell of an impressive film down to the camera angles, the cinematography, the acting, and that ending was just so....DAMN!!!
17:40 Idk why but one of my favorites. My uncle used to live kinda in a remote place in some woods right next to a river. One late night it was snowing and we heard a knock on the door at night. You could see the pure terror in his face but you have to answer the door it may be someone needing help.
I remember I made my wife watch this with me. She was so made at me. At that time I traveled alot and she was like, I hate you! lol This movie scared the *hit out of me.
Been a silent watcher for quite some time and had to subscribe after this video 🥰 Being able to watch yall grow through the videos I've watched has been amazing, yall just got happier and glowing brighter 🙏🏾 Keep up the good work!
Those boys at the end were supposed to be Mormon missionaries who are always out knocking on doors. Although they are too young here. Mormon missionaries don't go out on missions until they are 18.
This was too scary for me. I'm only watching it for the second time here w you guys. Once James and Kristen got the gun, they should have gotten up to the roof and found a spot to snipe those guys one by one 🙃, but then there'd be no movie.
One of my favorite horror movies from back in the day!! This one hits way home because I survived a home invasion while home alone. Definitely changes how you look at the world. We moved immediately, I didn’t stay home alone for a year after that.
