Common knowledge tells us that BB's can't penetrate the skull. When he was "shot" there was probably a bit of blood and they must have thought the BB bounced off his head.

Welp, here is something fun! When my mom was pregnant with me and my brother, (we're twins,) and went to get an unltrasound. The doctor looked at the screen and almost laughed. I had my brother in a FREAKING HEADLOCK with my knees. She says the doctor went in the hall and asked a couple other people to look. Moral, THERES NO FREAKING ROOM.

But that's not the odd part. The odd part was that I had swallowed it in February. The CT was done in *June*. Despite having no problem going to the bathroom or anything durng that time, the thing had stayed in my intestines for four months.

I was complaining of ear pain and blockage for a long time when I was about 12, when I was 16 I finally got someone to examine my ear and pressure wash it out. something hard falls out and into the little bowl of water. nurse examines it, and scrapes off the wax to reveal it's purple and made of transparent plastic. it's a square shaped purple bead. my ear feels way better and I can actually hear better through it. worst part is I know how it got there, because when I was about 6-8 I thought earrings went INSIDE your ear. little me probably put it in and forgot about it.

The video does not state @17:37 what examinations happened, so we do not know. If the gloves were in pieces (likely) and mixed with feces, an X-ray and an US could not show them without much luck (like a whole glove at an exposed point). An MRT would catch the possible small air bubbles created by the very thin material, surrounded by poop.

Are you trying to say that a bunch of doctors had a kid with pica & lots of other issues that is not properly supervised... Then wasted weeks with the kid suffering, getting sicker & sicker, reporting abd pain & constipation; before they bothered to get a basic standard xray to check whether he had eaten a non-food object? That should have been done on day 1 by any competent medical professional! Indeed, such especially high risk patients get x-rayed automatically for any one of these symptoms! Said medical professionals should lose their licences! This is blatant malpractice. I've worked with lots of kids with pica & the slightest suggestion of such gets x-rayed. More importantly, said kids are not allowed unsupervised for a second & often require secured housing with everything previously counted. If they were able to steal a couple dozen gloves, then lots of people failed to do their job & need to be fired immediately. Obviously, this is for their own protection & must be done properly/respectfully. It's still essential, no matter how lazy, tired, underpaid, etc; they still must be properly cared for. Also, just to be clear; no, drugs/restraints can not substitute for supervision/proper care. Adam
@raellskys4083
@raellskys4083 5 лет назад
Hmmm, that sounds expensive, round th clock, lifetime supervision? What do they do with them when their parents pass of old age?A giant adult sized TODDLER, who could throw a tantrum and get violent as retarded people are known for. Is some poor relative stuck inheriting them?
@adambartlett114
@adambartlett114 5 лет назад
@@raellskys4083 End of the day, it's round the clock supervision or death. The only way to keep the kids (with pica) safe, is such care. That said it's not cheap but nowadays, the government/tax payers usually pays for the costs. Raising such a kid is not easy or cheap but it's certainly possible (even with little to no public support). Unfortunately, raising any kid with such serious health issues /disabilities is never going to be the easiest option but plenty of families have done so. Adam
@adambartlett114
@adambartlett114 5 лет назад
@@raellskys4083 Also, for the record, many kids with such issues are capable of growing out of said issues with the right help. Without question the majority are not violent or dangerous in the least & often, even those with such issues can learn to not lose their cool with maturity & the right help. If they are that violent or incompetent, then they remain in care with people capable of properly caring for them. They are still people & definitely not some unpleasant piece of property that gets inherited by whomever will take them! Adam

@@adambartlett114 Well, I wouldn't want t be th family member who had t take them. No, not a peice of property which could be of monetary or sentimental value. You have a GIANT ADULT SIZED TODDLER (that's as useful as a giant TODDLER) needs t b under constant supervision so they don't start playing with their own SHIT, fingerpainting in it or something, or their REALLY good at public MASTERBATEING too!! I had t put up with seeing THAT garbage because a nearby neighbor a block away had one of 'those' living there and let it wander around outside unsupervised, so typical behavior for him was he walked up and down th street, hand in his pants,somtimes VERY obviously MASTERBATEING himself,loudly moaning of course. He kept pokeing his fingers at his asshole too and sniffing them right away after. I gotta tell you, it's a REALLY nice, pleasant thing t see walking down th street looking out your window. At 2:30 ... I have chronic pancreatic issues and had to do a 4 hr MRI once. I swear to God, I understand this guy’s insanity. I removed my piercings before entering the room, but it didn’t make it any easier (you’ll feel your tooth fillings vibrating from the magnet, especially if you’ve had a lot of cavities filled, and often they make you force your body into a painful position/hold your breath/etc the entire time). The funny part is the pictures- large as murals- on the wall in the room. A desert scene with pyramids. A rainbow with a close up bumblebee. You’d think they were there to calm down the patients, yet you’re forced to get in the tube minutes after you go in. There are no pretty pictures on the inside of the torturous, insanely loud machine. Just a neon light that hurts your eyes. It’s enough to drive anyone not well-adjusted completely nuts. I want to ask a doctor WHY are these pictures in the room, yet not inside the MRI where you will spend most of your time? It’s sad, really.
@londonm3161
@londonm3161 4 года назад
I had to do an hour and a half MRI a couple months ago and they made me, a person with a known history of joint pain and fibromyalgia, sit in one very uncomfortable position the whole time. I almost asked to be sedated towards the end because the pain was getting so bad I was shaking uncontrollably and my ear plugs had fallen out, so I had to listen to this loud ass machine at full volume for an hour while I convulsed. I got copies of the images after and no one would tell me what the mass in my spine was, so I had to do my own research and make my own (correct) diagnosis. a month later they finally gave me the results, which noted the hemangioma in my T8 vertebra. all that just so I could do the diagnosis myself and get no other answers for my neurological decline

My partner recently needed an X-ray of her abdomen. It showed a tiny 'nail' in her intestines. She'd accidentally swallowed on of the pins of a face piercing! Pica (eating strange, usually classified as inedible, objects) is a recognised side effect of dementia. Years ago my late wife and I lived next door to an older gentleman who suffered from dementia. He had carers and a son who visited him frequently, but otherwise he preferred to not interact with the local community. It wasn't after his death that another neighbour informed us the the man was known to scrape out the crud at the bottom of his household waste bin to eat it!

Bruh they can do HEIGHT ALTERING SURGERY? They left out the most important part of that story, how tall he was before and after! Now he's missing a leg, so he's much, much shorter than when he started out...

I got a fake stick on earring stuck in my ear when I was little (I'd say around 4-5 but I really have no clue) and years later, about halfway through 1st grade I thought about it and told my mom. She had to get tweezers to dig it out of my ear. :/ I look back on it and think *"damn, I was (still am lol) frickin stupid"*

I don’t think they were lying due to the type of trauma they had. A guy a knew in college fell on a shampoo bottle & it went into his butt. He said it was sitting on the edge of the tub & when he was stepping out he slipped & fell onto it. He tore something & had to get internal stitches

3:15 I don’t understand, what is a ‘bb’???
@jenniferhart559
@jenniferhart559 5 лет назад
bb's are tiny metal bullets... about the size of a rice grain. An MRI uses extremely powerful magnets for the pictures, so the bb in that guy's head got pulled around thru his brain. (The frontal lobe is associated with personality, memory, thought, etc; so it really messed up the guy's ability to calm down and follow directions of the people trying to help him).
