Underrated song and album La Folie. The stranglers the thinking mans crumpet would always do the unexpected when the expected wasn't expectantly unexpected
The first and only station to play this song was KROQ back in the day. Has anyone thought about petitioning the Vatican to make a saint of Rodney Binginhimer yet? Someone please get on that, will you? I love the proper studio version best, but LOVE this example as an alternate. You can hear where they did a bit of nip and tuck to tighten the sound. To this day, this cut remains on of my favorites of an era that spanned so many great bands. Thank you so much for posting.
i bought a best of cd just for this song..and then i discovered a proper treasure trove of finely crafted aural works of art...this song is part of the greater "soundtrack of my formative years"
Jay, KROQ 2 HD Streaming on Radio.com. They just played this song. I completely forgot about it. They played it and it instantly brought me back to those days. Great tune!!!
Great Music.....in a time when revolution is at hand...it's nice to see those that see music and it's connection to us all...much love from America...it's time to clean house and set the record straight...erick
@@vlobster7660 Out of interest, do you know of any video of them performing it in the 70s or 80s? I can only find it in the last ten years, now they are old and fat! I would like to see it performed when they were young and handsome. I know they did perform it, but no videos, I can find. Some vids on You Tube go back to the 70s, but this is one song which doesn't seem to have been filmed.
