I remember the team I used in Platinum are Infernape, Lucario, Togekiss, Magmortar, Leafeon, and Floatzel or Gyarados, I like too see a strongest teams for black and white 2 and X and Y.
I really hope to use some more versatile and unique teams in the future. I've been wanting to use some of these mons for ages but don't have the patience to get Milotic, don't have access to trading, and often don't think it's worth to obtain or evolve a Pokémon late (= past 6th or 7th gym) in the game. Other times it's because I'm being too picky, like not wanting to teach Fly to Togekiss because it's a special attacker or not getting Floatzel because Surf is a special move. Or because I think a Pokémon's base stat total is simply too low or its movepool just too bad.
Recently completed my first blind play through of platinum. Ended up using a team I found out was pretty stereotypical Infernape Staraptor Luxray Floatzel Roserade Giritina Never used any of these Pokémon before. But I loved how fast and offensive this team was. Swept through the whole game! And I see why platinum is so hyped by fans
My team in Platinum is Infernape, Togekiss, Garchomp, Raichu, Milotic, and Weavile. They are all EV trained and have good natures for the battle frontier.

If you do a gen 5 team then here's my 10th Unova team. Sumo the Emboar (I've used the other two and Lucario many times so I wanted to do something different plus I love all three) Nightwing the Archeops (I've used Unfezant many times and wanted to use to something different and trading it was a pain) Aqua the Azumarill (named after the useless goddess from Konosuba lol), Genji the Eelektross (Used every other electric type so why not the very cool electric eel), Foxy the Zoroark (the gift one from Rood and it was a beast in the E4), Skyquake the Excadrill (such a good power house and I loved it in the anime, plus I've used Krookodile many times since it's a beast).
If you do bw2 My team I used Serperior Levanny Swoobat Jellicent Chandelure Escaviler I tried sticking to a mid evil type of team. My starter being the king, escaviler being a knight, levanny being the queen, jellicent being a royal guard (due to the bulk), swoobat being the royal mage and chandelure being a ghost that roams and haunts the castle
2 grass type in one go is harsh, consider the gym roster bw2 delivers. I'd trade Levanny for Vespiquen. The theme is preserved, and you also can set up interesting moveset with it.
In my last run of Platinum i beat the game with Infernape, Roserade, Giratina, Milotic, Staraptor, and Absol. Then i swapped the last two out for Metagross and Salamence in the post game. Both teams were pretty solid imo.
I'm playing platinum again after years (what a game!) and my new team includes cherrim, milotic, lucario, miltank, dragonite and absol did some trades, spent so much time looking for cherubi and the right feebas and for berries but yeah, I love this team!!!
Please do Black 2 and White 2 ;) I enjoyed the variety of teams and mons featured in the video, especially the much-deserved love for Mismagius, Yanmega and Whiscash!!
Gen 5 needs the love. My White team was ultimately Serperior, Simipour, Zebstrika, Victini, Archeops, and Scrafty. Scrafty was the last second postgame replacement for the then-weakest link Liepard and I wish it was acquired by the time I got to the Elite Four. My White 2 team was Dewott (evolved into Samurott in postgame), Azumarill, Jellicent, Alomomola, Basculin, and Starmie.
With my Last Platinum playthrough I really wanted to rotate my team so I wouldn’t get bored of using the same Pokémon In the end I used 12 Pokémon altogether: Torterra/Leafeon Luxray/Electivire Espeon/Porygon-Z Houndoom/Magmortar Milotic/Vaporeon Altaria/Giratina
omg I thought the entire time that you can't get Dusk Stone until the hideout in Veilstone (which you need seven badges for). This is a game changer for using Honchcrow in the future

Infernape, Giratina, Lucario, Togekiss, Golduck, Tentacruel is the team I roamed around with, and for league I replaced togekiss and golduck with magnetric and Azelf

Also, while mad respect for Rampardos, it does have the downside of not necessarily being obtainable in every playthrough of Platinum, since iirc the fossil that's obtainable is entirely dependent on Trainer ID or something like that. Also, I have two teams to share here, though they're not for Platinum, but rather Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, respectively. Brilliant Diamond: -Empoleon -Staraptor -Luxray -Gallade -Houndoom -Garchomp Shining Pearl: -Torterra -Drapion -Magmortar -Togekiss -Gastrodon -Lucario I did originally consider using Floatzel and Absol for my Shining Pearl team, but I dropped the former for Gastrodon 'cause I didn't want too many physical attackers, and the latter for Drapion since I wanted a bit more type coverage

My team is typically Empoleon Staraptor Garchomp Gallade Magmortar Weavile Sorry to infernape but there’s no other new good water types all I have to pick from are Lumineon and Floatzel so I typically pick piplup although in normal Diamond and Pearl Chimchar is a must have
My current match up (tried to go without my starter): Leafeon, Darkrai, Rotom, Tentacruel, Staraptor, & Machamp, (I'll be honest, I've haven't used it before, even in Gen 1)
My team is : Empoleon - I absolutely love his design Drifblim - Staraptor is overused, so i wanted something else Leafeon - I love Eeveelutions but his moves are garbage Houndoom - I guess this is only good choice without Infernape Momoswine - I never used this pokemon so i wanted to Gallade - I always used Gardevoir, its my fav pokemon, but i wanted to try Gallade once
My team for Sinnoh I use most of the time is Torterra, Staraptor, Houndoom, Raichu, Garchomp. And Tentacool. But I usualy try to switch it up alot, but that's my main solid easy run trough team.
My team remains the same since the release of DPPt: Torterra, Spiritomb, Togekiss, Vaporeon, Cresselia and Garchomp. My best team EVER, and this coming from someone who played all the gens.
Especially if it gets adaptability to boost the power of it's tri attack and hyper beam even further. I once saw a friend of mine use hyper beam in the battle tower to one-shot a full health Bronzong, which is crazy!
In diamond and pearl i used both lucario and porygon are really not bad , also my team is composed by : Infernape Togekiss Lucario Vaporeon porygon - z Rotom , i know is composed by gift pokemon , and i don' t have any problems except for cynthia

"What stinks about Leafeon is that it's stuck with its only stab move of Razor Leaf until lvl 71" Do you not see it also gets Magical Leaf and Giga Drain? Just run either of those also until you get Leaf Blade. For a casual playthrough, you can get by with Giga Drain or Magical Leaf IN ADDITION to Razor Leaf.
The problem with that is those moves are special attacks, and Leafeon has a much higher attack stat. If you were to run those options, the only one that is arguably worth considering is giga drain since it can heal for half the damage it deals, but I don't think you really need magical leaf to deal with Pokemon that boost their evasion since you get aerial Ace, which offers flying coverage and uses Leafeon's much higher physical attack. Also, bullet seed is an option if you want another physical grass move, but it's probably not worth it in gen4 since it only has a base power of 10 rather than 25, and because loaded dice isn't a thing until gen9 it'll be wildly inconsistent in how many hits you get, having an effective base power of anywhere from 30 to 75 (after factoring in STAB) depending on how many hits you do, and razor leaf is stronger regardless of how many times bullet seed hits

I'd love to see a unova one! Also my plat team usually consists of: Empoleon, Altaria/Staraptor, Houndoom, Froslass, Roserade, Gallade/Medicham I never use single types unless its fully evolved form is a dual type and I do not overlap types. The only time I ever make the "no single type" exception is if I'm using an Espeon as my Psychic Pokémon, because Espeon is my favourite Eevee I don't usually think about competitive comps much anymore since I stopped doing competitive in kalos cuz I've never liked mega evolution outside of the aesthetics (same for gigantamax in galar, everything felt too stale to me with those)

uhhh if we get eeevee at 20 then it cant evne get rwzor leaf. its why gettign eevee at 20 sucks as razor leaf is lvvl 15 xD yeah you alwasy seem to ignore that fact

i just use my starter. Everything else on team is for HMs and as sacrifice pokemon. Platinum is on my list of top ten worst pokemon games since it is not as good as people say. Gen four games are known for slowness and annoying grinding. Add on the HM locked pokemon and exp share being held item to make it worse. In fact none of gen four games are that good in my opinion
