Prosperity is a virtue. This used to be widely agreed upon in this country. Now, success is demonized. Personally I think it comes from the obsession to make less of others to excuse one's own disappointment with oneself. Congratulations to you both.

@@andhisband Not envious of his success, but angry at his greed. Having been there once he should know that every worker he has should get a fair wage and share in the prosperity of the company. Bezos is the new plantation owner with his wage slaves. Anger at his lack of empathy is the proper response that this nation was built upon. We use to believe in all stake holders before the "corporation" was formed to put some above others. Wise men like Henry Ford knew that paying a good wage HELPED THE WHOLE NATION AND THE NATIONAL ECONOMY and was best for his business in the long run. Look it up.

This video is exactly what I needed to hear! I have heard for years “it must be nice”. I have been a small painting contractor in northern Michigan the last 15 years and in the trades for 17 years, I hear it so often and it’s almost a insult as if I did not work for everything. Nobody knows the hard work that goes on off the clock, the aches and pains it takes to be a continue even when you need a break. Being 35 years old and 17 years in, I’m just getting started and this video is much appreciated! Let’s tighten our boot laces and get back to work.

Great job and good luck. Just do not forget those left behind who through no fault of their own were not as lucky. A ladder slip, a car accident, a brain tumor are all parts of life that we hope never happen but does happen to someone every day. Imagine how that would set you back and count your blessings for not being that one this day. Have EMPATHY for those below you and do not kick down upon them. Kicking down is not the road to heaven as that is not the example Christ set for us. No one gets to heaven except through him.

My experience with "it must be nice" always reminds me of the amount of work, perseverance, risk-taking, saving, scrimping, etc.that I had to go through to get where I am. Sure, there is some good fortune and luck involved on occasion, but even most of that was driven by putting myself in situations where they could happen. I have no time for anyone I meet that hits me with that line. Keep up the good work!

Its all in what you have, and what you think you have. Rather than being envious of someone else, maybe take a look at your life, and everything you do or don't have, and what you want/need and restructure your life so you can get those things. Been there done that. Lost everything and had to start over many times, each time coming back stronger than the last, and now I just do with what I have and appreciate what I have, and most important, my family, everything else is just materialistic items.

To the Morgan’s, I enjoyed watching your video/s. I’m in the process of revitalizing my old homestead in Western, PA. Your videos have been educational and helpful. Unfortunately, there will be some folks who are unhappy and take it out on others. We are all responsible for our own happiness. Fathers….yes.. we could use more…we all have a tuff story… we lost my father when I was young boy to a tragic accident. My brothers and I were blessed to have a mother who thought us to hold the line. I’m a service member of 30 years with several tours and feel blessed everyday to get up and get after it. I have no doubt it takes a plethora amount of work to make 30 minutes of footage. I love to see my fellow Appalachia Americans succeed. We all have endured the struggles of the surviving rust belt. God bless and continue to live this great life. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Tommy Guthrie

Mike, in my experience. the must be nice people are usually just jealous. Deep down they realize their short comings and lash out at others who have worked harder or used their resources better than they. We are both in almost the same situation. We have worked hard to get where we are in life and I will never apologize for the where I am in life. You talked how you have saved for the new building for years. That is how most people have to do it. You appreciate things a lot more when you work for them. If you get a sponsor I think that's great. Its a win for everyone. Nothing wrong with that. You have worked hard to get where you are. You should be proud. Thank you for speaking up and always doing the right thing. That doesn't happen much anymore. Just keep on being you and we'll be here watching.

I hope this is a positive comment. I subscribed some time back. I do not hit the thumbs up or comment very often since I have gotten lazy and watch you tube and your channel using the TV rather then the browser and computer. Sometimes I have not always had the time to watch and stay up, so I really liked the numbered shows but it now tells you the order in days or weeks, something about watching in order. I can only guess it is ingrained from TV watching starting in the 1960's. I appreciate all the things you have shown. Personally I have learned and gotten work to get stuff done ideas from it all. The elevated little mini cabin makes me think tree fort, it is a great fun idea. I enjoyed listening to building thoughts and seeing it being built. I liked the small wood storage shed building being constructed too. Then the big building that's not big enough now I am looking forward to future videos on its interior finishing. All the wood cutting, log yarding, earthworks I learn from. It is amazing to see how different just the soil is in PA compared to Hood Canal, WA, shale is rare. Glacial till, moraine and clay is what's under the top layer of dirt in my property location. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the hard work of making videos! Hang in there!

More power to the two of you. You have worked hard for what you have. But more importantly you have worked SMART. I recently saw a picture of a blank sheet of paper and the caption was "This is a complete list of what your entitled to and what the world owes you". If everyone worked as hard as you do, they would be successful also. On a different note, Florida had a vehicle inspection program about 35 to 40 years ago. It lasted about 15 years or so. The State kept records as to the number of accidents that were caused by faulty equipment and after 15 years there was no meaningful reduction in accidents and they scrapped the program. That is the problem with many government programs, that have been on the books for years, but no one ever checks to see if they are still producing results.

One of my friends has experienced the growing pains, incredible time, and viewer demands that came with building his RU-vid channel to over 600k subs. It’s not easy to do while trying to raise a family and run a small business in a rural community. The green 👁 of envy from some viewers and also those in the community along with the noise created by those who are keyboard experts on everything can wear anybody down. Best advice… “To thy own selves be true and you do you”. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

I just viewed this video. Love your operation. Have installed many aluminum poles in sleeve filled with sand like u r. We found over time they would lean away from the direction of the prevailing wind as the sand would work itself around the pole. We ended up buying a stick of solid pvc deck board and cut them Into shims to place between the sleeve and pole which stop the pole from being able to move. If you have to a shop vac with a piece of small pvc pipe works well to suck out the sand as needed. After installing shims we fill any voids with the sand. The pvc is best as it won't rot. Hope that helps. We do it on all the installs we do now. Has eliminated the lean issue. Like the ibc storage idea can't source them cost effectively here in upstate ny. How far are you from Coudersport pa? We have relatives there. Keep up the good work.

I always have people telling me "it must be nice" constantly. Especially from young men. They have no idea the road I've taken. They have no idea the hours I work. They have no idea how many birthdays, anniversaries and soccer games I've missed. They have no idea how much I've put up with until I finally forged my path. Even people I work with have no clue. I now have my dreams realized. I love what I do. To me, my career is like a member of our family and I strive to take care of it. It's been a long road from Dairy farming to being the Finance Manager at a Ford dealership that I truly love. It's taken me 15+ years to get here. Nothing worth your soul is done overnight. There are so many comments I could add to what you said that I don't where to start. The struggle is real. I grew up on a farm and pretty much dirt poor. I worked hard to get where I'm at today. Some things were easy for me but then again some things did not come easy at all. For me it was always do my best and try and make myself better. Be happy today but look forward to tomorrow for something better. Your channel is not all cut, split, dig,...some times you give us something to think about. Great video and great thoughts to think about. Thanks for sharing.

I've been watching this channel ever since your video on how to stack wood evenly and LOVE your evolution to what you've become now. You're a hard working team and its paid off over time with good choices and decisions. It all didn't happen overnight. Some people just can't handle the success of others yet they continue to watch your channel? Makes no sense to me. Just keep doing what you're doing Mike and Melissa!

I feel you on the ' Must Be Nice ' comment . I worked for 50+ years , the last 25 for a major auto company ( to remain nameless ) 40+ hours a week and investing in my retirement and saving OT $ & Bonuses for future use . Now that I'm retired ( a year and a half now ) I've been able to build a new 26X50 shop , redesign & renovate the front of our home and pick up a few pieces of equipment . And I get " Must Be Nice " from former co-workers , and all I can say to them is ' Invest In Your Future - Don't Live In The Moment and Spend every extra money you get ! ' I can only hope in some small way , I can influence some of the younger generations to prepare for later in life . THANK YOU and Melissa for sharing your family and lives with us ! God Bless !

I think I have watched every video the Morgan’s have put out. Seeing them start out with un desirable equipment ,and WORK there way up to a top notch fleet of equipment has been a joy. My wife and I do the same thing the Morgan’s do with firewood, sawmill, tractor, and other things. I love seeing hard working people being successful. I hade rather see that, then Hollywood thugs make tens of millions of dollars, and try to tell average working class people how to live. Looking forward to the next video.

Amen. Well said Morgan's. Why would we work so hard, so long if we didn't plan a means to an end? I too have had many struggles like everyone else. Your stories and hard work mimic that of mine and I'm sure countless others. Instead of judging, we should use what others have as inspiration and maybe even some direction for those who may not realize their goals. Mike and I are the same age and I have been working my entire life. 31 years on my current job but it is not what I am going to do the rest of my life. (I figured that out a long time ago) I have always had side gigs and side jobs to make ends meet or to get the "extra" things in life that i or my family have wanted over the years. Point is, work hard and set goals. If it is too much of a struggle have faith in yourself and seek the advice of others. Keep up the good work!

Amen to your comments regarding where you are today. Everyone makes their own choices and everyone can travel a path of positives versus negatives. Ambition with goals driven by personal accountability can provide you a happy life whether full of things or not. Things or assets are nice but don’t necessarily make you happy. Personal focus on positives and Faith in God can provide more than you realize. Struggles and failures can actually build strength! Continue down your path that brings happiness and success. Great job Morgan’s!

I have to disagree to a point. IN the richest nation in history, NO CHILD SHOULD GO TO BED HUNGRY TONIGHT yet many will do just that. THEY DESERVE TO EAT AND BE WARM because they are AMERICANS. They are our fellow citizens and our future. A nation that begrudges the children will never be GREAT. And a nation that hates to support widows and orphans is IMMORAL. So tell me about "socialism" please.
@robk1310

@@markpashia7067 Socialist countries have many poor people and children who go to bed hungry, way more so than in the USA. Socialism caters to the least common denominator. EVERYONE is poor, except for the political elite and their friends. Just look at Venezuela. It was a rich country before Maduro took over and made it socialist. Noe the people are starving, have blackouts, no fuel. Socialism SUCK. If people are struggling here in the USA, we should help them, and they do get help. But with FREEDOM, comes the freedom to make bad decisions. And you need to deal with the results of your bad decisions. Americans DO NOT WANT socialism or a nanny state.

M&M, I couldn't agree more, you see what you look for and it pulls you in that direction. If you look for things that make you mad, you will get madder. If you look for things that make you feel unsuccessful, you will feel worse at the end of the day. Quite some time ago, I realized this and changed my habits to try to look for the things that are going right, and appreciating all the great things I have around me. I must say that in today's world, most of the media spend an incredible amount of time reporting on everything that has gone wrong in the world every day. If you don't go looking for the good things, you will begin believing that everything is going to hell. I watch your videos for one of the positive things I need to keep my attitude as positive as possible. Keep on keeping on!!👍👍

Yes they do in North Carolina. It keeps old clunkers off the road. Sounds to me like you were brought up to work hard mind your own business and be good people. Help those who you can. To me you two are an inspiration to anyone who understands our limits are the ones we put on ourselves. The fact of staying focus on yourself is very important. I am sure there is a lot of struggles you have from the farm, family to working. I believe you are just presenting a look into to the joys you have there and sharing them with others to look for theirs. The behind the scenes things are what we don't have a right to see unless you share it. We see what makes you keep going. The joys of the things you do. I do love watching you work your equipment. I also love the things you and the family have for one another. Love your smarts of cutting. the excavator comes in handy. You guys just keep pushing ahead one day at a time. Another great video. Oklahoma no longer requires safety inspections. Agree 100% with your commentary. In my experience to succeed we have to build our foundations in our youth. Take a job, work your way up, do the things other wont do. work hard, and keep your mouth shut, no bosses like to hear endless complaining. I realize that no matter what you do some people will never get recognized for their effort. The happiest time in my life was when we had the least. Our daughter was just born, I was laid off from my out of state construction job. In order to make it we cut fire wood. My Dad would spit with a mull and stack brush, my wife would stack the wood on the trailer. Miss those times, our Daughter was just a month or so old and would be with us. I look forward to retirement and spending more time in the woods and on the farm. This time with Grandchildren in tow. I know my Dad is watching down from Heaven enjoying the show.

We also like the fact that we generally learn a couple things by watching your videos. Sorry but one thing I don't do is read many negative comments. I personally don't feel they are worth my time to read. Maybe it is the idea that you don't say anything if you can't say something positive. We are a bit older than you but that does not mean that we don't respect, admire and look up to you for all of your hard work. You have work for what you wanted, made good decisions and kept on going even if things didn't go the way that you had wanted or planned. Hi Mike and Melissa and greetings from beautiful western Colorado! Regarding your question about state inspections, Colorado no longer has an inspection program. We used to at different times for differing reasons. Way back in the 50's and 60's we had a semi-annual inspection program where your car had to be inspected to insure that your brakes were in good order, your exhaust system was not leaking, all of your lights were in working order, and all of the glass was good. All of this was performed by the inspector at the gas station for a whopping $ 1.50! Then later maybe during the 80's and 90's the environmentalists passed a law that we had to have a smog inspection on each car. This turned out to be a huge endeavor for our state costing someone millions of dollars! That has since passed into the sunset, possibly due to the auto makers producing more fuel efficient cars. Anyway we no longer have to have our vehicles inspected. We get the point of your latest video and we can't agree more. To add to this, I heard a guy the other day say, "the harder I work the luckier I get"! We enjoy your hard work and you deserve everything that you have worked for, paid for and use effectively! God bless you always and continue to keep your wonderful videos coming our way! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family!

I joined the military and made a career out of it. After retiring from that I worked my bohunkuss off and have been successful. Made sense to me, as a young hard headed man... ANYWAY my Morgan family, i never thought any animosity nor negative against my Morgan family, i have always been proud to see a fellow American moving forward with hard work and love of man...
