Caught these guys at Shaky Knees Music Fest this past weekend. They were one of the best live acts playing the only day I went. Incredible energy, enthusiasm and talent. They owned it.

Oohhh kaay... this comment is coming to ya in August of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Let me bring you into the future. For all of you naysayers, the Struts are STILL the hottest thing going. Many things set them apart: FIRST, each bandmember is uniquely talented. SECOND, they ooze self-confidence (not egotism) which, in part, has rocketed them into the stratosphere as a premier must-see band. THIRDLY, there's always the reference to Queen. Luke Spiller is a rare find as a vocalist with flare - however- this is a band who does a lot of covers, and they kill them all. FOURTH, they're all adorably accessible. You can call me silly and addled but I'm 59 years old, and these guys bring good old-fashioned talent and fun to music not seen since the '80s. The Struts never fail to super-charge my day. Long may they reign!
