The stubborn side to owning a Boxer dog. 

I never had this problem with my Boxer - I just did everything she told me too do.

the problem actually is, they are so smart, they are aware of how much you love them. they absolutely know they can get away with it, because of that, too.

I lost my girl January 1st and I watch these to help me get over her passing, thank you 🙏🏻

Layla has her human trained very well.

When they are in lounge mode, they [Boxers] aren't moving unless you physically pick them up, lol.

Whenever my Boxer goes into "ignore" mode, I have to physically pick him up... and then he become a jello in your arms and its so funny and annoying, but I wouldn't trade it for the world 🤣

"If I can't see you you can't see me" - Every Boxer that doesn't want to listen.

My sarge (10 year old boxer) suddenly becomes deaf too when it’s time for a bath 😂 I especially love when he pretends he can’t see me but is watching me out of the corner of his eye lol I love this breed so much!

Oh my gosh, this reminds me of my Boxer. She’d give direct eye contact, raise her eyebrows, and then turn her head away with a snort or whine. The more intelligent the dog is the more sassy they are when responding.

To everyone saying that this dog doesnt obey and he should only give one command CLEARLY has never owned a boxer lol..Boxers are NOT like typical dogs. They are literally like small children! They understand their owners and are forever 2 year olds! My boxer right now at this very moment is walking around the house crying because she wants another marshmallow from my 10 yr olds lucky charms! I told her no and she is doing everything in her power to get one...sad eyes, whining, sitting her head on my lap...layla is clearly loved and the owner is a excellent pet owner...or should I say dad to a forever 2 year old :)) We love you Layla

Extremely stubborn but the very best. If you don't want to feel sad then stop reading now. Unfortunately we had to put our female boxer down a few weeks ago. Wow, here come my tears. Any way she lived a very great and long life for a boxer (12 yrs 3 mons). She had lost 20 lbs over December /January, I know that's a lot for a dog but she was a good 15 to 20 lbs over weight. Anyway when we took her in to the vet he said she had cancer (nothing they could do) , so he told us to take her home for a few days so everyone could say their goodbyes. When you've raised a dog that becomes a member of your family for over 12 yrs, that is the hardest thing to hear. But I didn't want her to live with any more pain. We live in the country so after they put her to sleep (with her in my arms just the way I wanted it) they wrapped her up in the blanket I gave them (I gave her mine) and we took her to some family land and buried her. I miss her so much. They are extremely smart dogs. Tova knew at least 100 words. What's funny is that sometimes she didn't remember them at all, lol. She was our 3rd boxer over the last 24 yrs. We had two male boxers that were just as great. Please do your due diligence when picking out an animal. With boxers you have to be there with them I would say 75 to 80 percent of the time. They do not know they are pets. They truly believe they are a part of the family, like a pack. If you treat them less than family members you are going to have problems. They are the loyalist dogs I've ever owned. Tova didn't want me to shut the bathroom door. And if I did for privacy sake, she was right there waiting on the other side. In her mind something could have happened to me. Many nights when I struggled with insomnia, she would hang out with me in the garage while I read. No matter how long or how cold it was, she wanted to stay by my side. (I of course would make her a nice comfy and warm pallet to lay on). They are very protective too. We will end up getting another boxer, maybe two this time but I need some time to grieve my VERY BEST FRIEND. They are truly the greatest, a truer friend you will not find. Bye baby girl, momma misses you so much it hurts. But I know that God is love. And all that dog did was love us, so why wouldn't we see her again?

I have an 8 year old Brindle Boxer. The Best dog I have ever had. Smart, Obedient, and Very affectionate.

Yeah, I've dealt with enough boxers to know their body language. Layla most definitely knew exactly what she was doing wrong.

I have a four year old boxer, Ruby who is certainly getting a bit stubborn, like my two previous girls….it’s a charming trait that shows their true character hasn’t been trained out of them. I just love the look she gives you.

Of all the dogs we have had through the years, we got a boxer bitch 2-3 years ago. I have never seen such a happy, loving (crazily), bonkers and obedient dog. Just amazing.

I don't think she is stubborn at all. She is just intelligent. She can hear from your voice, that you are just "trying", and not really meaning serious business. :) I wouldn't get down either with that command. :D And when the dog is intelligent, like boxers many time are, they will ask you quite many times, that are you serious. :) Love these animals, so much missing my ex Ben the boxer. Boxers have a lot in common with each other.

My dog Bella (who is a boxer) used to have her own chair a while ago, but we moved and got rid of it. She doesn’t jump on the furniture now mainly because she is old and fat. Although she definitely is stubborn. It usually takes a lot of calling her name and telling her to come to get her to actually come over to me. But when she finally does, she wags her little stump and gets lots of pets! Love her very much.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this beautiful girl. She's acting like a Boxer should. Totally in charge of everything (including her human) around her. She's gorgeous.....and so is Heidi.

I love Boxers.. Definitely the best. People have to have a lot of patience with them. They are stubborn, funny,, child-like and they will love you forever. Lost mine after 12 years and I still cry and miss her everyday.

our boxer likes to stand at the door and not come inside... I have to hide behind the door to make her think that shes coming in on her own..

My girl Kona does the same thing. We try to get her off the couch sometimes when family's over (so others can sit) and she just loves to sit there. But you can't sit next to her or you have this tank pouncing on you for a solid 30 minutes. Truly great dogs, i've owned labs all my life and I've never thought a boxer would be my new favorite breed!

Hahaha this is amazing. Mine is such a suck. First three years of his life he was a hell spawn. As smart as a German Shepherd, more stubborn than any dog I’ve ever had. He’s gotten better with age and at 7 years old he’s the best dog I’ve ever had. Still thinks he runs the show most of the time but worst case scenario a firm voice reminds him of his place. It’s hard to yell at such a sweet creature though.

I love when dogs are allowed to show their personality. A neighbour was so strict that she stopped & reprimanded her dog should it walk a few too many paces in front of her. We had a family boxer MANY MANY years ago & I still remember his birthday. He would've turned 62 this 21 February. He died aged 14. He was like a brother.

My boxer was always wanting to obey. She wasn’t stubborn, just had preferences and she made them known, that’s all. She’s just gently telling you that she wants to stay put, that’s all. If we were relaxing and someone told us in that tone we wouldn’t like it so much now but she’s still being very gentle in saying No Please

We have a boxer called Baxter and he's so gorgeous, when he's told to go to bed (outside) he listens. But otherwise he does as he is pleased, thinks he's a lapdog, plays constantly, loves the look of a beer or wine bottle (doesn't get any though), such a loveable fool, couldn't imagine life without him

When I tell my boxer he’s a bad boy (because he did something wrong) he gives me his paw and gives me the puppy eyes to make you say sorry to him 😂 I love him but sometimes he gets me n my nerves 😂

Love this video so much. My boxer is very well trained and generally listens to me, but there are many instances where he just gets in stubborn mode and when I try to get him to do something, he gives me a withering "are you kidding?" look

We had a boxer back in the early 2000s. My mom's hired a landscaping company to plant flowers in our small back yard, my boxer just sat down and watch the guys work all day . He never gave signs of his evil plan! We woke up the next morning and there was not even one plant standing😆. The whole place looked like it had been bulldozed 😆. My mother was mad and I couldn't stop laughing. He passed 12 years ago and still miss him every day. His name was Bronco but we should have named him Einstein or Newton, that dog was smarter than all of us😆.

My 2Yr old boxer is the same way. He knows what I’m saying just refuses to listen. Just like a kid. Lol
