Actually, the Younger Dryas was not a continuation, of the last ice age melt, as you implied @ 10:38. The Younger Dryas was an approximate 1200 year reversal, of the ice age melting. The rapid drop in temperature, causing refreezing, for that period, was hypothesised to be the result of a comet, or asteroid impact. With a further impact, at the end of the 1200 years, which readjusted the climate back on the path, towards the inter-glacial period we now experience. The only real issue is that no contender, for impact cratering, around that time has been found. The prime candidate, the Greenland crater, has been redated to much earlier: to around 50 000BCE, from memory.
