I wish she would do a story on dark history, that relates to the American Anti-Corruption Act (which is being suppressed, but the history goes pretty far back with similar movements) and/or The federal reserve (reference the book The creature from Jekyll Island)
I have made my mother promise me that if I die before her she will never say “Her laugh was so infectious” , “She put a smile on everyone’s face” or “she lit up a room”. No no no no!!!! I hate people in general. I go out of my way not to talk to friends on the phone, and my phone is _ALWAYS_ on do not disturb.
A Dark History episode featuring female circumcision sounds interesting. I've always wanted to know more about it but it always freaked me out too much. Getting the information from someone I like sounds like the better option.
It shouldn't be really called circumcision it's actually FGM (Female Genital mutilation) it's unessesary and extremely painful for women there's no beneficial health reasons why it's done unlike for men it's all just harm against women to control them and suppress them having any sexuak pleasure, its done a lot in East Africa and Asia
@@mimivindireu I was going to recommend Desert Flower by Waris Dirie too!!!! It was required reading at my high school. I ended up buying my own copy of the book when I became an adult. It's just such a moving story.
When I was little, like early 90s I saw a show that showed little girls being mutilated like that. I know it was a documentary, but they showed it all. That traumatized me till no end. It all happened outside on a huge rock with an old razor ughh. I don't know why I watched that, I was around 8. It was horrible 😞
Riiiiiight?!?! One of my friends going to college to be an anthropologist interned with one of these types of teams, and these people gotta go elbow deep into humans sometimes. Sad that didn’t seem to be the case for Bill.😕
if I was a police officer and walked in on a crime scene like that I would probably have quit my job. Cannont imagine the night terrors those poor people had. I hope the family didnt see the house.
Absolutely. It's sad how many men just stay quiet about the situation in fear it is turned on them, or just not being believed. Which of course happens to both genders BUT people don't realize how often it does happen to men as well. It's really a sad statistic, double standard kind of situation.
@@SgtWooody I'm a Domestic Violence Advocate, and I've been on two cases with men. The worst is the look on their faces, in their eyes. It will never not break my heart. Domestic Violence Advocates are not just for women.
My grandmother’s funeral took place today, and after that I have been with family the whole day. When I got home I really felt the sorrow and loneliness. Then I saw a notification from Bailey and I feel I needed this today. Thank you for today’s episode, it made me think of something else for a while. EDDIT: To everyone, thank you so much for your kind words, your prayers and healing thoughts! It really made my heart smile, seeing all of you commenting these things gives a feeling that we are all a big family. Lots of love.
I'm a fairly new subscriber. I have always been interested in true crime and what makes killers tick. I was down and out with a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis last year 😢. That is when I found Bailey's channel. I lost my hair, weight, color and my confidence. Watching Bailey be so beautiful and confident in her makeup part of the video made me believe in my beauty again. A year later and I am off chemo and am doing alot better. My hair has come back a little and for the first time in over a year I put on makeup. So I just want to say Thanks to Bailey for being here for us on Mondays!!😘😘😘
I'm glad you are doing better,my mom has non-hodgkins lymphoma cancer but it's in remission. So it will take a little time to get back to the old you or just to feel beautiful. Bailey is so great to lift anyone's spirit. Continue to shine ☺️
Its so heartbreaking, hearing Bill be so excited and proud of his new life, wanting his family to be a part of it, just for his new wife so take it all away forever. Rip Bill. I hope his family is doing okay. I cant even imagine knowing your family member was taken in such a grotesque way, i hope they got the help they most definitely needed after that.
I've watched Bailey for a few years now. She makes it feel like we're besties. Anyway, my coworker was telling me she's obsessed with true crime and I said "if you love true crime, you should watch- " then interrupted me saying Bailey? I was like YES GIRL! Then my other coworker said, you guys talking about Bailey? I love her. So then we were saying Bailey-isms like Nay Nay, be safe out there, and singing the theme song for a few around 11pm at a children's hospital, lol. You reach and connect with so many people girl! I was shocked (then not so much because you're awesome) that my coworkers watch you too. There is a big age, demographic, lifestyle, and such difference between my coworkers and me and we love you!
Some of my coworkers and I go to ihip after work regularly and I mentioned watching Bailey and my manager says he loves watching her too. Lol. I love Todd and that made me love him more. He is one of my best friends.
I had Bailey playing my entire road trip from Florida to Massachusetts and in a South Carolina drive thru, the employee asked “was that Bailey Sarian?” And he ended up giving me a free dessert for playing it loud enough for him to hear while I was at the window. Bailey connects strangers.
seriously lol. everything she says is entertaining. & not to mention, her makeup is always captivating. I’ll find myself just staring at her eye/lip makeup and not even really listening to the story even tho i try 😂
that reminds me of when Michael from VSauce starting naming off prime numbers for three hours, and I watched it for an hour because for some reason it was entertaining
Lol she is such a great storyteller! By the end I’m always like “wait. I didn’t even pay attention to how she did that eye look. Now I have to watch it again 🥴” 😂
People saying “it’s not gruesome” simply mean it’s not filled with every single gory detail and there aren’t gross photos from the case. Ya’ll, a girl has to stay monetized. Many podcasts have warnings and disclaimers in the beginning of their true crime case too. It’s not uncommon. 🙄🙄
The disclaimer is necessary. Sometimes people are triggered with ptsd from their own assaults or experiences, so listening to discriptions might be too much.
@@Coffeegirl739 same here. or children. not that anyone else deserves to be put through these horrific events, but children and animals can’t defend themselves at all and it’s so heart wrenching to hear stories about them…
Bailey: “People have been saying I don’t need the warning because it’s not that graphic”. Also Bailey: “the skin on his face was deep fried, melted, warped & charred down” Me: 👁👄👁
How could she have eaten his ribs if his torso and chest were hanging above the bathtub? Also regarding the disclaimer, you should have warned people about the smoking. He was a heavy smoker and every movie now warns people that the movie contains smoking.
i think doing a dark history on female circumcision would be rlly eye-opening because that is not something we’re taught about in school but it’s still so prevalent today
Exactly. If she wants to do it. She can. I enjoy it. I find it just a little comical if anything. Unique. Part of what makes her worth watching is she puts her own twist on things
I actually appriciate the trigger warning or simply naming the topic you'll be discussing. I have PTSD & it's really helped me so thank you. *please keep doing them*
Ohh, i go and come back. I almost never said something about your makeup. U are hipnotizadora 🤣💙 and I NEED TO SAY THAT I LOVE THAT MAKEUP , THE COLORS, EVEYTHING. NOW , AGAIN, BYYYYEEE!!!
@@michelleclarke8500 Avoiding things is rarely helpful, actually. Besides, it's way easier to have trigger warnings for people with PTSD, than for people with PTSD to basically avoid the news, RU-vid, and life in general.
@@michelleclarke8500 It's more about managing 'when' and 'how' you come into contact with triggering subject matter, not avoidance. Also 'PTSD' covers a huge range of trauma and triggers so a video about cannibalism might be fine any day, but a video with an abusive mother might be something you'd need to leave until you're feeling more steady.
@furpurr Nah, Horses Feel The Vibes Off The Person!❤ I Was The Only One My Elderly Barrel Racing Champion Buckshot Allowed To Ride Regularly! My One Brother Could A Little! Six Kids In Family When I Was Growing Up!
"Men, you can be victims too. You can be harassed, assaulted. Please don't be embarrassed." Bailey is always sticking up for everyyyoneee and I love that.
If you want more cannibal stories there’s always Alexander Pearce, Tasmanian (Van Diemen’s Land at the time) convict who escaped with other inmates and ate them. Multiple times.
Love this! My teenage daughter is really into kpop. I was reluctant at first, but now I have embraced it. We never run out of things to talk about. Hey, whatever works!
Awesome idea about the Dark History on female genital mutilation. You might also look into Chinese foot binding. Also, if you do out of country documentations, could you do one on the Beast of Jersey from the UK? It's super intriguing. Love the show and the tips 💜
I so appreciate you affirming that men should speak out about crimes that they should not be embarrassed if something happens to them because they can be targeted too. Really really appreciate that.
Bailey, I've watched your videos for ages now, and you've inspired me so much that, at 28, I decided to become a prosecutor. I've got an interview at Oxford Law next week. Girllll you're out here CHANGING LIVES! Sending love from the UK; we love and appreciate you always!!
Bailey laughing after a hella dark moment is relatable asf and understandable because it’s Botha coping skill and a tr**ma response. Keep the great stories coming Bailey. Also if you see this I’d love a video on female circumcision please!
MEN- IF YOU ARE BEING ABUSED MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY BY A WOMAN, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF FOR COMING FORWARD. YOU ARE A VICTIM AND THERE IS AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HERE FOR YOU. MUCH LOVE. Stay safe everyone💚
Absolutely true, and you know what’s crazy, a lot of the TT peeps I follow have brought to light an SA situation, which led to more. And then finally a man spoke up, and had video evidence of it happening, and then the woman that did it had a live and she LAUGHED about it. Thinking that she didn’t SA him just because he’s a man and she’s a woman. NO!!! NON CONSENSUAL TOUCHING from ANY gender is SA. Period. Women aren’t alone and neither are Men! They deserve to be heard and taken seriously as well!
I remember after I had my daughter I got some new underwear and was excited about it. You know your life is boring when you get excited over underwear. And mind you these were packaged Hanes not Victoria's secret. I've set my standards low so as to not be disappointed.
I love the fact that not only do we get true crime stories, but get to learn new things. I didn't know that there was something like female circumcision(FGM). Got so infuriated when I read up on it😑 And Bailey yes please do a dark history episode on it
I have ptsd from a violent, fatal incident and I always appreciate trigger warnings. The coming months are always hard for me as the anniversary of that incident. Some of my triggers can be really specific and other times there are things I can listen to and times when the same thing is too much. I appreciate any help knowing what I am getting into, even knowing it’s coming can help make the difference in how it hits.
I hope the anniversary of this incident goes past with minimal hurt. Anniversaries are hard, hopefully you have a strong network to reach out to if you start struggling.
hi bailey, please look into the troubled teen industry and the deaths associated with if you can. myself and other survivors would really appreciate any awareness you could bring to it
Melancholy and the infinite sadness parents sending their kids who have “behavioral issues” to behavior centers like the ranch on dr Phil but they often face a lot of abuse there and they’re isolated from the outside world including limited contact with parents. Some places will straight up kidnap the kids in the night with permission from the parents.
Love you Bailey! I ha e PTSD, and the way you deliver every story... It's so much better than all the other crime stories. I dunno why, but when a woman [especially Bailey] Narrates true crime. It's just easy to hear. So thanks Bailey! 🖤
I just wanna say you’re an Angel for bringing awareness to the fact that men can be abused as well. It’s something not everyone is willing to talk about and sadly (some) beautiful women will take advantage of their looks as much as they can. This is why women like Amber Heard don’t believe they’ll have consequences.
I love it when Bailey says stuff like, "There is no excuse for this behavior." I just imagine the perp giving their whole well thought out excuse and Bailey as the judge shutting them down.
Her cutting him up so he wouldn't be able to contact her in the afterlife reminds me of the story of Osiris. How he was cut up by his brother Seth and his wife Isis had to find his body parts.
@@lJuJuBee11l legit though because he was a chonker and she was pretty slim. I officially don't want to hear about how men are stronger because this woman clearly was a bit of a pint sized hulk.
True and that is Feminism. Feminism just get bad propaganda or public eye bc of people who do not understand what their fighting for and bc also of the fake news.
“Another report by the US Department of Justice on non-fatal domestic violence from 2003-2012 found that 76 percent of domestic violence was committed against women and 24 percent were committed against men.”
@Not funny. Right, my teachers at school are for all equality, people just like to spread misinformation by generalizing all of them. Yes, there will be some bad ones but it’s not the majority.
I love your style of storytelling, Bailey. Your dark humour gets me through the hideous stories! Gotta laugh or you'd cry, etc. :) Hope the new chair works out for you! :)
I feel like she should do an episode on Albert Fish. He was a cannibal and sent letters to the parents of his victims. Truly vile, but it would be interesting to hear Bailey go over.
This is one of the first true crime stories I ever heard and made the mistake of reading the letter he wrote to that little girl, I think Lucy? And it has literally haunted me for like a decade
I am 67 and my daughter got me onto you. I love true stories and she watches you while She puts her make up on so she said try it mum. So here I am and I already know I’m going to love your work.
This is me now every morning before getting ready to drop my babies off to school. I wish I had found bailey sooner 🤣but only been a subscriber for a week and now I can't wait for weekends where I can binge everything I've not watched. Baileys got her own squad of all ages 🙌😘
as an Egyptian, you pronounced the name perfectly it's written in Arabic as " أُميمة ", can't believe I'm finally hearing about a case involving my own, and a bruuuutal one as well
@@agirlwithnoname0 ya exactly what they said , abuse is everywhere it’s not about beliefs I assume she was Muslim like me from her name but that doesn’t say why her dad was a physco
Hey, you should totally do Rebecca Schaeffer's case. She was an adorable sweet upcoming star in the 80's when she was killed by a stalker and I think you could do her story some justice, I would love for someone with a platform like yours to bring her name back to the surface
Bailey, as an Egyptian I can tell you the Egypt background portion you provided was spot on. 👏🏻 Also, female genital mutilation is a barbaric practice that is, sadly, still all too common in Egypt and Sudan. It deserves your attention. Thank you.
She needs to do a dark history episode on female genital mutilation, hopefully covering a bit on it throughout time and more in depth, what’s currently happening around the world.
Bailey, thank you for that message you sent out to boys about being victims, men really need to see that it is okay to feel and be vulnerable, and it's healthy and necessary for them to allow themselves.
To whoever is saying she doesn’t need to do disclaimers: you may not need the disclaimers but there are others out there who are not as stable mentally! So please keep doing them Bailey ♥️
I think her reason for dismembering him actually makes sense in an insane kind of way considering she grew up in Egypt. In Egyptian mythology, Osiris was cut up and scattered all over Egypt for this reason.
@@avocadosareweird5172 Maybe she had heard about this or read it somewhere. She did mention that her voices were Egyptian gods so I’m assuming she knew something about mythology.
I was wondering what kind of things where missed in this case because of cultural differences. Especially back then they weren't as aware of or sensitive to people of different cultural backgrounds.
@@mearcair143 right? Also it’s obvious that she struggled with her English quite a bit. Maybe unanswered questions could have been cleared up by Omaima herself if she had been maybe provided with an interpreter.
The fact that she got a female circumcision. I did my senior English paper on this almost 20 years ago and it still disturbs me. You should def do a Dark History on it since there are so many types of it!
There will always be SOMEONE out there who appreciates and is grateful for content / trigger warnings. I'm not sure why you would prioritize the opinions of a few d-bags who love to complain about literally anything over their feelings. Please keep the warnings. ❤️
Yes. I was just thinking the other day how much I appreciate the TW because we never know what kind of trauma people might have experienced. Just because one topic doesn’t trigger us, doesn’t mean it all won’t.
I agree with this and also, honestly I wouldn't mind more details TW then just "this contains graphic content" because there's a difference between what's graphic and what could trigger someone. Like gore is different then discussing SA or abuse or even animal abuse
@@jodizahnow8242 It's true crime, what I wonder is how people could not know that it will involve brutality/r*pe/abuse of children, animals or other such terrible things. Not sure why anyone that is triggered by such things would even watch true crime videos. That being said the trigger warnings never bothered me in the least and I think it never hurts to include them.
Please do a Dark History on FGM. It's sad and I feel like a majority of people are unaware of the practice and how it still happens to this day. Love all your videos :)
I used to live in Cairo and the city of the dead was an interesting place. It is not just a graveyard like in the west, it looks like an actual city. The graves are built to look like houses, just without running water and electricity (and often without roofs). They are so much like houses that people actually do live in some of them. A huge Friday market is on its edge as well. FGM is VERY common in Egypt, even today, and life in upper Egypt can be extremely challenging. No excuse for what she did, but her early life must have been extremely difficult.
I used to work on some of the historical buildings in "the city of the dead" that district called qarafa in Arabic. FGM was finally considered illegal in Egypt earlier this year.
@@da7389 Pretty sure it's been illegal in Egypt since 2008 or maybe I'm thinking of another African country... Either way these things can only be cured by lifting people out of poverty and awareness campains, wouldn't be surprised if people living in faraway villages barely surviving didn't even hear about changes in laws.
You are literally the cutest. You can't make everyone happy, people will complain for disclaimers and for the lack of them. You just keep doing you! Also you looked adorable in the dad hat, just IMO. Thank you for another amazing case, and for always making me feel like I'm sitting with a friend chatting.
just warmed up my food and was going through Bailey's old videos to watch while I eat.. refreshed the page and saw that she posted her new video 1 minute ago.. feel so happy
I can't eat while listening to these stuff especially the cannibal stuff, urgh no way 😂 I can't even make the broccoli salad I planned to make while listening to this
My aunt -who I’ve gotten on the Bailey train too- said Bailey should do a Dark History episode about how much football coaches get paid after they’re fired 😂😂😂
Interestingly, I do believe that she was telling the truth when she said the reason she dismembered him was so that he wouldn't be able to harm her in the afterlife. Stories and beliefs about things like that are found in many cultures around the world, including Africa.
Yep in ancient Egyptian beliefs you'd not be able to pass over if your parts where missing, it's why it was important to have the organs put into jars for the funeral and burial they had to go all together even though mummified and separated. Hope that makes sense I'm not the best with words
Egypt is mainly Muslim, and also Christian, so I think that was just an excuse she could use since she was from there. People haven’t believed in such mythology for thousands of years over there..
@@baileighrene it's not defense or excuses, it's possible explanations of behaviour. You can say "Jimmy lacks empathy because he was abused in childhood" but that isn't defending the fact that Jimmy, lacking empathy, tortures animals for fun. It just explains why he is lacking empathy in the first place (Just as a random example. People can lack the ability to feel empathy but still feel compassion or sympathy or be great people.)
Okay just saying but I personally loved the warning disclaimers. I thought the way you did them was super fun and they made me laugh every time and I just want to say I appreciated them. Boo the negative folks!
The disclaimers were great and they help people who want to protect their energy. Some people may be unfazed and that's great, but lots of cases deal with stuff that is extremely traumatic, that's why it's important, people will make the decision if they want to continue or nah
@@fabiansantamaria3891 you might not be fazed but others might not think so. Others who watch this m9ght be younger or might have experienced something similar to this like abuse. So think before you post.

Psychopath’s can’t recognize danger, their brains struggle assessing the risk. Her getting up nonchalant after the horse threw her off his back was a huge warning sign.
Not quite. It's more that they don't alter their perception of something's risk after experiencing a negative outcome (ie aren't susceptible to punishment).
I love how everyone said the disclaimer was unnecessary because the stories weren’t even that graphic…true crime fans are actually just completely desensitized to the horrors that unfold in this type of content 😂
We do tend to be more disconnected and lack wh communication of personal things. I definitely appreciate the disclaimers!! Some days I can’t do certain subjects, so it’s nice skip some and watch diff day
Definitely. I used to get nightmares when I started watching true crime and couldn’t even think about watching anything related to cannibalism and now I find it very gross to hear but also interesting rather than nightmare inducing.
