That was a very well done interview, Sabrina. I've been a fan of Johnny since 2011, and he always gave me a good laugh. He is without a doubt my favorite video game reviewer on the internet. As for the Super Gaming Bros., they were the first Let's Players I've ever started watching. I remember watching their old playthrough of Super Mario Bros. I laughed so hard at Elliot's reaction to getting a Game Over in World 1-1, and my favorite moment in SGB has always been the part when Matt laughed for almost a minute at Elliot's Sonic 06 multiplayer failure. XD But, yeah. That's pretty much all I have to say right now. Well done, Sabrina. Well done. :)
Been watching you guys ever since I saw the Sonic 4 Foolish Edition Review back in like...6th grade or so. I'm currently finishing my first semester of college. I love you guys. You'll always be my favorite people on RU-vid and it makes me so happy that you guys are rapidly growing. By the way, excellent interview, Sabrina!
I am turning 18 coming February. I have watched Sgb amongst other channels Johnny is involved in since I was 11/12. They have essentially made my teen years. So many games I would not have played or appreciated if it wasn't for them heck if it wasn't for Elliot being only a few years older than me I might not have taken the time to check it out. Everything just fell so perfectly into place. I really appreciate them and I really appreciate the work you did on this Sabrina and I hope I see you in more future let's plays as well. :-)
Nicely done. Only thing I'd recommend is perhaps dial the music volume down slightly, as some tracks kind of made it hard to hear them during quieter speaking moments.
Been watching these guys since 2015. Have morning looked back since. My favorite Let’s play’s are the both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Not to forget Resident Evil 4 and both LA Noir let’s plays. I work graveyard shifts and it gets boring just cleaning and stocking supplies and hearing their commentary on my phone with my earphones while working makes it so much better.
I can't f*cking believe I've been watching these guys for almost 8 years now. Thanks for making this interview possible! I teared up so hard after the first two minutes.

I like the musical touches and the playthroughs edited in for more context too. My fave moment was when Elliot kicked off the P-switch and made John rage haaaaard in Super Mario World. No big secret that John suffering in Video Game is like candy among us fans. I wish they keep some of their older playthroughs when they revisit it for memories like these y'know? It's nice to look back and gain more insight like this with them..cos' I feel like the only person we really got to know was Johnny so it's nice to hear from the rest of them. That was what I enjoyed most about it, the others' perspectives too.

Excellent interview Sabrina. It actually somehow got me to like SGB even more than I already did. These guys have inspired to create my own RU-vid channel and honestly I don't know where I'd be without them. They have given me a huge appreciation for Gaming and honestly they inspire me to get better at what I do.
The music overpowers the guy's voices at points, but you did a great job with the overall interview. It was really fascinating to find out more about some of my favorite RU-vidrs
Man, I can't believe its been 7 years since I first found Johnny and Elliot channel, it takes me back to the good old days of hellfirecomms and when I first found Brainscratch (back when Ryan actually made videos), all the way through to when Matt joined the channel... Aaah the good old days...
Beautiful, It has been 3 years since I discovered these guys, and each of their videos have made me laugh more than I ever thought. Believe it or not I discovered SGB right around the exact same time I discovered Sonic 06 for the first time on the internet. I guess god has a sense of humor after all. It was John's Sonic 06 LP that made me the fan I am today. Seeing what these guys put out on a daily basis is inspiring me to do reviews and let's plays more and more and even if their videos drop in quality (video quality, commentary, etc.) I will continue to follow the Super Gaming Bros. because I know that they are trying their hardest to provide entertainment for at least one person out there.
I can't say that i begun to follow you guys since the beginning, but really love all the videos that you guys did, from the reviews of Johnny and Elliot that begun everything, to the proper SGB let's play channel, to the moment in which Matt became a part of every main commentary, etc. I really love all the works that you have done, and the effort that you put into it, because it is hard, i didn't exactly publish anything in RU-vid, but i just tried to see if i could just record a full let's play and edit it. And when i was done and saw the first video, not because it was bad(because it was bad), but because of how i heard myself, i just knew that i couldn't do what you guys do. So seeing this interview, i just knew that this would be something that just like your videos in the let's play channel, i would come back to see sometime in the future.
I really enjoyed this, it's well edited. This interview really shows how far they come, and also how inspirational they are to everyone, getting into LPs or just need a good time in their lives.
I haven't been watching SGB for nearly as long as most of you guys. Hell, I discovered John in December of 2013, when I was randomly strolling through RU-vid and found the Sonic Anniversary Interviews. So I started watching his reviews, and loved them to death. A few months later I looked up a Let's Play of Crash 3, and guess who I found? Still one of my favorite LPs I've ever seen. And then I started watching more of their content, discovering LA Noire because of SGB (though I haven't had the privilege of playing it yet), and they kind of shaped my video game tastes and interests, as in terms of gaming I hadn't had much experience at that time outside of Madden, WWF/E games, Crash, Spyro, Mario Advance 2, and Pokemon. Now I'm into RPGs, Silent Hill, Mario, Sonic, and a whole lot of other games. The fact that until I found SGB, I never thought any channel could be more entertaining than Chuggaaconroy, proves to me the quality of these guys. So thank you, John, Elliot, and Matt for not only inspiring me, but for being the most entertaining trio and entertaining channel(s) on RU-vid. And thank you, Sabrina, for this beautiful interview that allows everyone to reminisce and see behind the scenes of SGB. Personally, I love the video. I don't see many problems with it, and the cuts are timed perfectly.
I only started watching SGB earlier this year but I probably watched almost half their content before starting college again. One of the few channels I frequent now, well edited video aside from some audio issues.
I've been watching Johnny's video's since 2010, very entertaining video's aswell as animations. I started watching thier Lp channel since the Heavy Rain playthrough and that was great to watch!
I've noticed that Matt tends to call Johnny by his real name, which is strange because I've rarely heard him call Johnny 'Juan' during a regular let's play.
Nice work Sabrina. the only thing i think i can say as to give a critique is maybe have done a introduction yourself to being with by you explaining the Super Gaming Bros in your way. But otherwise I enjoyed this and it was great.
Nah, I like this style. Think she didn't wanna take the focus away from them which is wise. It's like having a random person walk in the middle of musical and narrate, breaks the flow y'know. I would be okay with an intro VoiceOver but I'd say this style works best.
Man I sure wish I had a camera like that for some picture in picture videos I do. Really liked this especially since I have very little knowledge of SBG. I sure hope to meet them at PAX East 2016 if they're going.
I fucking love this video I'm smiling the whole way through it reminds me of something on Netflix I feel like its about to get sad AF but t doesn't cause its SGB they're awesome
Very well done! Hope you got a good grade for this in your video class! In terms of some feedback (I'm also in a Video class right now so I know where you're coming from :P) is mainly audio things. The music was a little loud at points (although through reading some comments it was something that was difficult in the editing program) or the video's audio was quiet at times, making the music just seem louder. Another thing I noticed was that between shots the "room noise" would change for John's, Matt's, and Eliot's shot. Like you would hear a distinct audio jump when switching camera shots. A way to get around that (one I actually just learned about this semester) is to take some dead air from your clip and insert that as a separate audio track playing below the music on the timeline, between the two clips like a bridge, that way it sounds like a seamless transition. It sounds complicated but it works really well. Again, great job and hope my critique is useful!
Also...last word of advice. Save up for an inexpensive stabilizer. Such as Glidecam. Works great for panoramic shots that you want to keep nice and stable. No shakes, you know?
This was really, really enjoyable. The only problem was some audio mixing (When Crash 3 came in....Mah ear bled) and some music was a little loud, 8:09 is really the only glaring example (Though this might've been because Matt was covering his mouth). Apart from that make sure the interviewees put the question in their answer rather then you put the question in text, it ruins the immersion if you have to tell us what the question was. Overall this was really, really solid and a great look at one of my favorite RU-vid channels. Well done!
I know I am late to the party, but I have been watching sgb since I was in 7th grade and now i am going to 10th grade. My first video was part 2 of the crash 2 playthrough
You may want to raise their volume through a different editing program. Like Audacity. (Very noobish program, but it can get the job done right with the correct plug-ins.) I have to do it all the time for a bud's audio.
i wonder how many people didn't know Elliot had a youtube channel till this video lol though I have no right to judge since I only found his channel about 3-4 months ago xD
