7:54 it’s because the prototype of a red cat suit for Mario looked “too evil” in Nintendo’s eyes. This may be because cats are a big part of Japanese culture and they didn’t want to make a Blood-red cat
Peach & Rosalina when they get the fire flower: (Ponytail Gals) Mario & Luigi when they get the fire flower: (Red, White & Green Bois) Blue Toad when he gets the fire flower: (McDonald's Worker)
5:00 Level Star-2 is also the only time all five characters can be present in the level clear fanfare at the same time if you grab the flag as each of the other four characters before unlocking Rosalina.
Toad's colour change to blue with white dots is likely a reference to the New Super Mario Bros.' Mini Mushroom power up, because Small Toad is pretty tiny, too, so he looks exactly like a Mini Mushroom.
These facts were pretty good, they really helped expand my knowledge of the game. An additional fact: if you skip over World 1 or World 4 with the warps and beat Bowser in World Castle, when he recaptures the Sprixie Princesses, the ones in the skipped worlds will not be present.
I wonder if it was team EAD's response to HAL's "drawing" in Kirby Adventure. Or maybe a "Let's see what we can get away with and keep an 'All Ages' rating." It's equally likely that they didn't give any thought to it at all while the level was being designed.
It has seriously bothered me since 3d world came out, that literally no one was talking about the fact, that mario was looking right at Peaches underside during that hole starting sequence in the pipe. I am so glad, that someone finally addressed it. Why did no one care this long about that fact?
Fun video. I can't say I previously noticed the funny shaped blocks you mentioned at the end (and the conspicuous placement of the P buttons), but now I can't unsee it...
Loved the video, i learned a lot about a game i really like! Also, that little "loading" progression bar with names for each fact is a really neat touch
I've never heard anyone say this but if you don't complete world 1 or world 4 by taking the secret exit in the second stage in both of those worlds, after you defeat meowser those 2 Sprixies won't appear in the big jar that has the rest of them
Mario in a cat suit is yellow bc it was first meant for single player, that's why in mario maker,in a frog suit and as Link he was originally green but Luigi being there made him change his color. Since cat Mario was not green, but yellow,he didn't need to change
There is one thing you missed: The Champions Road Music is a remix of the Gusty Garden Galaxy theme from the 2007 game _Super Mario Galaxy_ for the Wii.
There is a game on roblox called Royal High, and what you might not know is that it's got the Comet Observitory music from Mario Galaxy, no wonder they never got copyrighted by Nintendo.
Fun fact: the reason Mario is a yellow cat is because in Japan, red represents anger and danger. Meanwhile yellow represents courage and cheerfulness 😄
I'll admit, the hardest thing for me when I first played this game was the fact that it was hard to get extra lives. I never really mastered the slots and there aren't many courses where it's easy to load up on coins. So flagpoles getting nerfed to not give extra lives was very significant for my first playthrough.
Dude the only ones I didn’t know were that peach wasn’t meant to be playable and the cat ears thing. If you 100% the game or at least make it to world mushroom you should know most of these facts just by playing the game casually
Nico how cool would it be if Nintendo reward you with a Nicholas time travel x game where it has you in it And it has like your friends and family and it also have your favorite RU-vidrs in it and it also has your favorite 80s/90s and modern video game characters
I have one: There's actually a golden train you can visit in the hub world after going through some pipes in world 5. There are a lot of coins there and you can get a lot of one ups. It will go away after you beat it, but it'll come back after a day.
More useless facts: In world 3, there is a pipe that takes you to a secret golden train level. In 2-3,at the end of the level is an outdoor garden in a desert. 2-5 has secret coins at the fire bros fight(and another coin patch in 2-4) In alot of worlds, there a hidden pipes taking to a secret fire bros level.
At least every one of these types of videos will get a comment like this, but I'll say it anyway that as a long-time 3D World fan I knew all the facts in this video (except the moving Plessie one, idk why the heck that happens). Here's a bonus fact: in the Great Goal Pole (the level where the flag grows wings and you have to chase it down) the Donut Blocks at the end aren't actually infinite. If you keep running down them long enough without the time running out (I recommend you try this in the Switch port with Toad) then you'll simply fall off the stage and lose a life.
