I actually prefer the symbol to just be an S for Superman. It’s gotten too convoluted and defeats the original purpose of it. Now it is the symbol for the house of El, a translation to hope, but not an S. Although I do like the idea that the suit is Kryptonian because that explains why it’s so indestructible. But I wish the symbol was given to him by Martha or something
I agree, it really has gotten unnecessarily convoluted, as long as they don't focus on the symbol's meaning excessively in the story itself I don't mind it, but it's one of those comic book details that never needed any explanation in the first place.
I thought the idea was that Kal-El was the one to make that symbolism’s promise manifest 🤷🏽♂️ I just see it as a litmus test for whoever is handling the character: how does it still apply and can they make it still apply without having to resort to some Moral Relativism or even just “eViL sUpErMaN”
Have you ever noticed that Lois Lane puts herself in extreme danger with the expectation that Superman will swoop in and save her. That's why Superman pretends to be Clark Kent. Clark has no sycophants expecting him to save them from themselves.

The John Henry connection is a deal breaker. The whole steel driving uncle Tom narrative is insulting. Popularizing folklore about a black man working himself to death to prove he's better than a machine (at menial labor) is a classic Willie Lynch tactic. Aligning the black superman with this shameful character is why it NEVER WORKED
I saw that recent Superman commercial about fighting cigarettes. The guy is a true Chad hero character. Students must be shown this commercial in schools.
I am still pissed that we never got that Superman family animated show because that show with Clark Kent Lois lane and Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self could’ve been great and tons of fun, also a bonus seeing the Kent family hanging out with Damian Wayne Robin Steel aka Natasha irons would've been really awesome and tons of fun at least in my opinion.
I still think about that cancelled series! It looked very promising, My Adventures With Superman is great and I'm glad we got it but I'd still love to see a Superman Family series eventually
@@SantiBarrios same here as well, because like you said it looked very promising and as a huge fan of the superman family with Clark Kent lois lane and they have there son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self going on silver age adventures would've been freaking amazing and fantastic to watch that I would really loved to watch at least in my opinion, however like you said My adventures with Superman is really good and I am very intrigue on what's going to happen next after season 1 of this show and I am hoping really hoping maybe just maybe in a small window of chance thanks to battle of the super sons animated movie we got last year showing a lot of people with Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old can work in animation, maybe just maybe if my adventures with Superman does get a season 3 it could open the door for a superman family animated series in the future which I would be all for that at least in my opinion.
It's an awesome show! I'm really enjoying it so far, I like most of the reinterpretations on characters they've done, I love Jack Quaid's performance as Superman, and I love little details like Clark not being able to understand kryptonian at first, it shows the attention to detail that they've put into the series
I think you misunderstand Superman. If you wanna warm and fuzzy American icon that's fine. I think Superman is a demigod that finds human fragility as quaint and cute. I think his alter ego is patronizing because it has to be. The same way you patronize young children to shield them from self destructive behavior.
