He's such an excellent character. I wish the original writers had more time to expand on him before GW discontinued Fantasy. None of what Kirby's new writers have "canonized" is anything other than garbage. It doesn't exist.

While I'm a bit disappointed that there was no 'Welcome to Estalia' line in this video, I like to think that there was a reference to it at 1:00, when Gelt says 'I am no orator... or so they say'. I see this as breaking the 4th wall because Gelt's speech is actually the most famous one among TW:Warhammer community. Do you think I got it right?

At the end of the day Archaon's hordes were shattered and Archaon ended up running away with the remnants to the Brass Keep, Teclis annihilated N'Kari and a massive daemon army by himself, Volkmar the Grim stared down Mannfred Von Carstein that slunk back to Sylvania, and Valten (who may or may not be Sigmar reborn) was assassinated/disappeared, seemingly by the Skaven. The SoC campaign was concluded in 2523 IC, but the timeline has continued out to 2525 IC in WHFRP 2nd edition, the Black Library novels Reiksguard, the Emperor's Swords, and the Blackhearts series. In those books it is clear the the Empire and Kislev are slowly winning the war in the North and are mopping up the remains of Archaons armies, though the Imperial armies have suffered large casualties and that there are still many scattered Chaos warbands in Middenland, Talabacland and Ostland. That's the real timeline, which unfortunately will never be officially continued. Then Rick Priestly and the original writers got canned, and Kirby's new ones actually managed to produce more disrespectful and blatantly lore-ignoring writing than JJ Abrams and Ryan Johnson. Gee Dubs can stamp whatever setting-ruining horseshit it wants as its canon, it's just an IP holder. Go back to your Ground Marines and cosmic horror story, cross-over, 40K-with-magic pistols and jetpack armor nu-canon. Kirbyhammer will never be Warhammer, and I'm far from alone.
I know this came out a while ago, but was showing to a friend and, noticed is that music in the beginning the song that is in Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood all the time? If it is, it is fitting because gelt is full metal! Ha dad joke.
