in 2021 i believe we had a Northerner get stabbed by a few Southerners as he was walking up the stairs after food tray pick up. Im not sure why maybe just an isolated incident of disrespect who knows. this happened in a building on the yard where the Southerners were actually very very respectful and ran the building. super neat, super smooth, the porters were leaders and made life easier on the control booth officer. but hey, prison is prison, stuff happens. we, as officers, were all on edge about a race war.......but nothing ever happened for over a year after that in terms of north VS south. our issue at hdsp at the time on Delta yard was black/south beef. gotta love prison!
