@@videogeekin you say that ,but I bet they spend a lot of time hanging out with the tattooed crowd ,because a lot of those people would be at a Surfrajetts show.
What a wonderful group of talented musicians who play 1960s instrumental surf music great. Love the Fender reverb tanks the sparkly ice blue Jag and the outfits but mostly the great professional attitude and the hours and hours of practice you girls put in to jell so well. You sound marvelous and I hope you girls play in Michigan soon.
@@gerddreischhoff1633 wow , is there a whole time line of evidence of hours and hours of practice? look bruh, that was a cringy reply guy comment. How does he know, maybe they are natrually talented and he has just insulted them. The Simp won;t get his wick wet.
@@calach2924 Maybe he just supposes they have much rehearsals, because they play well their musical instruments (also as a unit) and perform in front of a relative big audience.
These girls really got me interested in this style of music and playing on the guitar for me . Loved them at Norms rare guitars .Shermy and Nichole rocked it
I was barely away from the scene long enough to tidy-up the crypt, find my bongos, and throw my board in the woody. Thanks for looking good and sounding great !
The most beautiful girls on RU-vid, great guitar playing like the Ventures, sexy short dresses & boots, love Shermys retro room I have two of her lamps. What's not to love!
Nice to see CLEAN CUT girls play professionally like this. No purple hair, no piercings and no screaming-ugly TATS!!! Way to go girls.....we love you!!! Keep on Keepin on!!!
Help, I'm totally hooked. I tried watching all their videos hoping I would get sick of listening to Surfrajettes, but it only gets worse. Are there any specialists in Surfrajette Addiction Syndrome?
Thanks for posting the 1st 4 songs, hope you post more from this performance. Cha Cha Heels (original) Hurricane - (Conrad and the Hurricane Strings) Banzai Pipeline - (Astronauts, written by Henry Mancini) I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) - (the Electric Prunes)
Sarah, the bass-player, is a great singer. You can hear her sing with the "Millwinders". I heard in an interview they all have nice voices. In the "Surfrajettes" they concentrate on their instrumentals. They let their guitars sing :-). And Anna on the drums plays great, because she plays for the songs :-).
They need to work on their stage presence, smile more to engage the crowd, and do routines to each song such as getting the front three in a group, turn sideways, and rock up & down then change to another position. Just watch the old beach movies!
Ok being picky being pedantic, tittle reads " first three songs of their set" a song is a 'A short musical composition with words' these girls to my knowledge never sang a word, not just here but on any recording I have seen. Does not detract from a brilliant sound, which I love.
Apparently you're unfamiliar with instrumental surf rock. It was huge back in the late 1950 and the 1960s. It became popular again because of Quentin Tarantino and the punk/garage scene, and of course there's bunch of revivalist bands around that imitate the surf sound in some degree or another. This band is an excellent example.
