I remember as a kid welling up throughout the death scene but right when Jean-Bob, Speed, Puffin, and Whizzer started crying and hugging each other after Odette comes back, I lost it. That part was just so sweet. 🥲😭
in 1998 yes this movie was in the scool i thought: hey are nintendo ninjas blind? yes the nintendo zelda is also a boss in twilight princess. and ocarina of time came also out in that year so yeah clearly hahaha
if you take the series as a zelda style... zelda is then odette, link is then derek, rothbart is ganondorf/ ganon. the triforce are the forbidden artes. kreate, change and distroy..
If she hadn’t flown into the vines, she probably would’ve evaded it long enough for Derek to break the wand. Just goes to show ya: stay away from vines, kids.
The Swan Princess: The Mystery of the Enchanted Treasure (1998) - The Final Battle Defeated Zelda 0:00/7:24 Language: English USA 🇱🇷 Directed by Richard Rich August 4, 1998 Columbia & TriStar Home Video with the children play is the by The Swan Princess in movie (1994 Film). Zelda is the main antagonist of The Swan Princess: The Mystery of the Enchanted Treasure. She is a cunning evil sorceress who helped Rothbart regain his powers. However, after Rothbart betrayed her, Zelda plots to get the Forbidden Arts for herself. This with her villainous from her magic wand was Zelda I knowledge into Prince Derek & Princess Odette.
@@SexyGypsy14 Zelda’s destruction Seeker is like Darkseid’s Omega Blast. No matter where you run, where you hide, it can’t be stopped. Not even water can stop it.
I always found Zelda’s jealousy and malice towards Odette to be interesting. She literally hates her for being the object of Rothbart’s desire and for years held onto the grudge despite not only Rothbart being dead, Odette wanted nothing to do with him.
Odette should've just told Zelda the truth, that She did not love Rothbart & that she hated him & that he just made a big mistake & shot himself in the foot for rejecting Zelda.
Side note, I love Zelda's voice actress, she really brings that hammy villianess over the top performance, shame she didn't had any other roles after this!
The fact that odette pretty much almost dies in every movie. You’d think they would get used to this and be like “eh she’ll come back, no need to worry or cry guys.” I wonder why they still cry about it because she literally comes back every single freaking time 😂
I think the point is that Derek refuses to listen to her and his ignorance and stupidity end up killing her in every movie. You would think he would learn :(
@@Curlyteacher537 Though, in the first, King William really should have known better than to give a cryptic clue to Derek, since he must have realised the prince isn't very bright, so Derek nearly kills swan Odette several times because of the vagueness. Though, her death is sort of his fault since he failed to realise the hag was a fake. But hey, he fixed it with the help of some animals he also nearly killed? lol
Imagine if your beloved/friend died so many times. You are laughing at it, because for you, she is just a fictional character. Once it becomes real, every time might be the last time. Have some decency.
I know I was crying and sorrow at odette died you know she is alive just like the miracle You know when Jesus died on the cross and he said last breath father into my hands I commend my spirit And then on the third day he is risen
It was a tragic scene of emotion, like in the first movie where odette dies of a broken heart, with Derek standing over her body knowing it was his fault she died; that got me straight to ugly tears
Honestly I think it would have been more impactful if Odette had stayed dead and the fireswan was just her spirit being put to rest instead of bringing her back to life
Well, in movies like this the protagonist never stays dead. They shouldn't have killed her in the first place. Thats kind of the point of the first movie- her fate is uncertain, as she was dragged off by a gigantic creature... and Darek has to rely on blind faith to find her. Everyone thinks he's crazy, since they are certain she was mauled to death and eaten. But he chooses to believe she was alive. But in this movie.... actually killing her off..? Not really the best decision for the movie to do.
That would have been pretty depressing. Especially since it would have ultimately been Derek’s fault she died. He was trying to protect her but ultimately killed her. It would make it like the old grim fairytales, where it always ended in a grim/depressing/dark way.
4:31 say hi to Rothbart & Clavius from us Zelda. I must say, I was surprised since Rothbart betrayed both his former allies, I would’ve thought that Clavius and Zelda would’ve teamed up not only to destroy Derek and Odette, but to destroy and get revenge on Rothbart after he betrayed them both.
6:26 the way that shape appeared I thought Odette would be revived as a swan with no way to change back. She was so lucky that wasn't the case otherwise while she was alive again she would have to find a male swan as handsome as Derek. But even if that was the case at least she’d have that other swan and eventually cygnets too.
Anyone ever question how exactly Whizzer was able to mimic Rothbarts voice? From the explanation in the beginning his breed of bird can imitate a voice after only hearing it once. Now how the hell could he know what Rothbart sounded like? Haven’t seen this film in a brick (so who knows maybe my ass forgot something) but I don’t recall him being presented with a chance to mimic a dead guy he never met. 🤣🤣🤣
i to wondered about this but, and I maybe reaching, It COULD have been somehow connected to the flashbacks the witch showed him about Rothbart creating the notes and therefore hearing his voice in that... OR maybe there was a backstory that was never actully explained.
My headcanon is the flashback we see of Rothbart is a vision that Zelda conjured. I mean she can create the Seekers, and while she wanted the Forbidden Arts its never stated that she doesn't have powers. I mean she seems to have powers even without the Forbidden Arts something neither Rothbart or Clavius are seen to have had. But then this is one of my favourite movies of all time and as such i tend to put more thought into it than is probably necassary. 😅😅😅
@Michael Schultz But since the fireball Zelda conjured was green, (rather than red, yellow or purple) it's not related to the Forbidden arts, which I buy it that destroying the notes would bring only Odette back, and not Zelda.
The first 3 films were fantastic and made my childhood. I remember when Cartoon Network aired the second and Toon Disney aired the third. I was so freaking happy that there were 2 other films. The other 8 I won’t count as canon and they are garbage.
I don't remember if I ever saw this one in full. It's not as good as the second one, and definitely not as good as the first. That being said, "Far Longer Than Forever" still redeems it a bit and is still as impactful as it is in the first film.
Yo, if Odette really died in this movie 🍿 then I would have been crying for days or weeks straight especially when I go to sleep 💤 but Thank Goodness 😅 she came back to life.
I think I saw this movie in Castilian Spanish when I was eight or nine years old. It was already hard to find the movie in latin spanish because it’s a sequel, and at that time it did not have neither smart tv nor streaming service.
How do we know that this is the real odette and not a clone. For all we know the real odette died. The odette from the first two movies could have really died permanently.
Actually, in 5:16 Derek was enraged because he knew it was his fault when Odette died by a fireball. He swore to destroy notes of Forbidden Spells, so he tried to break something with his sword to the point he broke it, and when he did break his sword in 5:25, he let his sorrow take over and he started crying.
@@kagomefan112well, in all fairness, (not that the later sequels were that great (in fact, they sucked)) having her turn into a swan every single time would get very tiresome after a while.
Well, I did hear electric guitar in the background when Odette tried to escape a fireball of death which killed her, while Derek and Zelda were fighting, which lead to Zelda's death.
hello anyone remembers a 2d animation about a couple that is in love but, i do not remember the title and i am trying to find it, where a couple in love in the end transforms themselves in a couple of flamingo or something? i do not remember which bird they transformed into but they were pink.
Cause the wand is the only thing to keep the fire ball alive and not to mention Zeld's body touch it and both the green fire ball along with her were destroyed
You know what's strange I may be an adult age even though I don't really act like it this was still a good movie to watch I hate the new ones like it doesn't even show her turning into a swan well if you want to count the Christmas one but that one not favorite
