Another excellent review! What are your thoughts on the fire risk from embers coming out of the chimney? I live in a dry area with high risk in the summertime.
Does it work with electric sauna heater? I’m concerned about the opening on top of the sauna for the wood-burning stove. Is there a way to close that opening and make sure it’s sealed?
Question, I have been using my sweat tent almost everyday for the past 2 months and I’m starting to have smoke some out of the side and top of the door where I put the wood in. Smoke comes out of the chimney but also out of the door and fills the tent with smoke so I can’t use it. Have you had this same problem? I didn’t have any smoke issues till about 2 months of using it. Thanks
Love it man! As we talked about yesterday on IG I’m pulling the trigger on a infrared and gonna copy your heat upgrade method. Sweat tent is now on my wishlist for my 40th in July. Appreciate the info keep it coming!
Its sad to see so many duplicates of these cool products. Im sure they are all pretty much the same, i am pretty loyal when I find a brand and get to develop relationships with the teams behind them and learn their vision, I try to stick with them. But its the business they are in. No doubt more are coming out too so just do what is best for you right now my friend :)
Great video! I’ve been thinking of getting this, but I’ve been hesitant because ideally I’d like to use the money I’d spend on it to put towards building a true wood fired sauna. Also, you should reach out to Laird Hamilton, maybe you could review his style of workout/lifestyle.
Great Review as always. Looking forward to the Redwood Sauna review. Just watching the end imagine being this mans neighbor and seeing all these plunges 😂😂😂
DMJ, love your vids. Very helpful, brother. Question: Do you think you can use home heating pellets? I get 6 tons delivered every winter and I wonder if I use a thick steel mesh over the grate at the bottom so the pellets don't slip through, it would heat just as well. I also have a patio heater that uses pellets. Thanks!
Thanks man. Because of your cold plunge videos, I have done a diy with a chiller etc and have been plunging twice a day for 2 months ans its changed my life. Just wanted to say a big thank you for the videos. Maybe a diy sauna next....
Could you do a step by step video of taking the tent down and getting it back into the carrying bag? Having a hard time with getting it back in the bag.
I bought mine the bigger model, which is in size 2meters by 8meters, but my issue was, that in rain 1 section of roofs collapsed because the fabric absorbs water and is not water resistant, the support beams that are build in didn’t hold (the corner mechanism that holds it in place)
No seam separation but Once i put 4 logs in (summer time), it got so hot I couldnt get in it, had to open both doors, and the entire stove/chimney was neon red! It melted that tube stitch there. No separation and no issues, just dont get it too hot.
I bought the sweat tent and I can not get it up to 150 in 44 degrees weather. I used 6 good sized logs and opened the vent on the heater and on the tent. I think the bottom may need an insulation type material. If anyone has a good answer for getting the sauna to temperature…please let me know
You don't want good sized logs so to speak as much as something being able to burn into coal if you will. So if you make smaller pieces 12inch and reasonable in diameter so they can turn more into a bed of coal you will get great results. this way you can feed the fire also with ease.
I would say if you used the sauna at night and let it burn itself out the next morning everything would be completely cooled to take down and move. If not like that i would say a few hours after its out, maybe use the oven mits for the stove
@@DavidMausJr thanks! I’ve been seriously considering getting one but unfortunately I don’t have a good spot to leave it up. I’m thinking for the convenience it will probably be better for me to get an infrared sauna.
Inside it is like a bubble, so the walls are actually just over 7' wide all around and the top in the middle is 6'6" Check out my first full review to see more details
Do not buy. My Tent It lasted 2 months before the rods snapped on 1 wall, and then after that, the rods snapped on the other wall because it could hold the weight when I was taking down. It's not strong enough for outside weather in Midwest wind beats it up badly. Worst purchase I made in a long time.
