Perhaps the most famous story in Arthurian legend, the tale of the Sword in the Stone is the catalyst for Arthur's ascension to king and shows us how only he was worthy to wield such a blade.

One of my favourite legends The whole point and legend behind The Sword in The Stone is that it isn’t a test of strength, it’s a test of Will and Courage. To wield Excalibur, you must truly believe in yourself and have faith that you *can* pull the sword out, you have to set aside your fears and doubts, for no-one can stop that, you must believe that nothing can stand in your way, not even solid stone.

There appeared a great marble stone; and there within the stone appeared to be a sword buried within; and there written on the sword were the words: _'Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil, is rightwise king born of all England.'_ well, I guess the stone makes the rules now...

Caliburn is the sword in the stone. It was broken in battle and the lady in the lake gives Excalibur to Arthur.
@ContesHistoireEtLegendes
@ContesHistoireEtLegendes 5 месяцев назад
I don't think the sword in the stone actually has a name. Because I think Caliburn is the name of Excalibur in old French, as the name Excalibur probably comes from the sword in the Irish Táin Bó Cúailnge that is named Caladbolg, which probably became Caledfwlch in Welsh and Kaledvoulc’h in Breton (roughly pronounced the same in both languages) and Caledfwlch and Kaledvoulc'h are respectively the Welsh and Breton names for the sword Excalibur
@ContesHistoireEtLegendes
@ContesHistoireEtLegendes 5 месяцев назад
But in any case, you're right, the sword in the stone was destroyed, Arthur almost killed and Merlin brought Arthur to the Lady of the Lake, the Fairy Vivian who gave Arthur a sword from the depths of the lake

He wasn't king of England at all he was king of Wales as Wales was all the mainland that wasn't scotland, England didn't exist back then and Arthur is credited as the king who fought back the invading saxons (who eventually went on to create england)

You know they say that this was fictional art but I have uncovered many grimorie that have been tied to figures and characters related to the tale such as the Abregmerlin grimoire, the grimorie's guardian, Pentecostas who was actually Merylin's family Crest guardian, who was actually a descended line of Celtic druids who guarded the the great stone table of destiny. The artifact was said to have been written by Adam and Eve that told the destiny of events to befall the world from beginning to end. Also it is said that Arthur Pendragon was the grandfather of Jeffery "Plantagenet" who was the father of King Henry, who counted among 5 sons one of them were Richard the Lionheart. There are more connections to the tale of King Arthur as being more than just works of fiction. Those are just a few

If I am not mistaken it is not refered to as "Who will pull the sword shall be King of England" as England did not exist at the time, but the King of Britain (or maybe Llogr ?), as England as a political entilty did not exist at the time. In Arthurian legends, it is most of the time refered to Britain which corresponds to present Great Britain and Brittany. For England, the name is usually Kingdom of Llogr or Logres, which gave its name later to England in Present day Welsh

And thus, after pulling Caliburn from the stone, Arthur would forever be stuck in the body of a 16 year old girl. It’d be dope if you chucked in a little Fate reference in your next video, in the form of an illustration, or something, but that depends on whether you have any idea of what I’m talking about 😂

To me this great story is metaphorically speaking of removing the “sword” from the pineal gland (stone) in which gives us access to a divine wisdom. No one can walk this path for another.
@CanVultus

I know your comment was three years ago but Good catch! This is definitely a part of it. The alchemical processes of calcination and de-calcination. I think it might be able to be used the other way around too. The Rock symbolizing heavy matter. The earth aka the body trapped in material pursuits tightens and restrict the soul. The sword is usually associated with the element of air. The spirit. Divine wisdom. The pulling of the sword makes him king. The unity with the sword is equilibrium between body and soul. Material driven by immaterial force. A symbol of the Christ or of Baldr in the sense he becomes The ruler of the realm. He is handed the keys in a sense. Bodily death but spiritual rebirth. Also very heavy sun symbolism but in order to type that out I’d be here all day lol. The keys to the symbolism to these tales lies within the old Norse stories the New Testament stories and the very valuable alchemical texts that have survived through history. Always keep in mind Mythology and folklore are always highly symbolized and multi layered. As above so below, as within so without.

Who ever pulls the words out of the notes and unveil is rightwise king, born of all England. Its about Pi, Pi is the numerical dimension of the web of wyrd, Prophecy is the dimension of the spoken word, Law the dimension of the written. The snake in the tree of the garden of eden is number, The tree is an alchemical tree, It grows from the pineal gland, You can climb it, grow it, learn it and know it. Numbers have taken the branches of the world tree off one by one and packed them into Pi. Pi is a tune that only some will hear, Prophecy is a behaviour that only some will engage in and law is the forte of those who weave the most intricate of webs, Through time, space and minds. In Alchemy, Pi eats you.

I would like to leave a footnote for my nephew who I hear is in Vancouver not far from me. Prince William, I've heard he's an Arthurian legend fan and also still searches for information about my cousin's death. As it had to do with the "secret lineage" of the royal family that she so enthusiastically studied. "Follow me to my channel nephew. I have posted videos that explain the possible lineage ties through historical records and texts that may reveal clues to the details of your mother's and my cousin's death. There are no direct ties to her specifically it only has to do with the material she was fascinated with so you may find clues as to what she may have stumbled upon." Fyi past the anonymous title I'm a Spencer. As I understand it your mother was my 3rd cousin. In case your as curious as I've heard something they say you inherited from your mom.
