Music video HOTLINE by The Sylvers. Extended version.
A disco dance hit back in 1976.
The Sylvers were a popular R&B/soul and disco family group during the 1970s. The group was from Memphis, Tennessee.
Names: Foster, Olympia, Leon, Charmaine, James, Ricky, Angelia, Patricia and Edmund.
Lead singer Edmund Sylvers, died of lung cancer on March 11, 2004 - Richmond, at the age of 47.
He is buried at: Holy Cross Cemetery [section F, T-3, Grave 48] Culver City - Los Angeles County, California.

It was not! Just as much crap happened back then but we didn’t ave access to it 24/7 in our hans & on our laptops. That’s all that’s different. I can say this because I was there in the 70’s & the past is only great because people glorify the good stuff & forget the bad. Ther was definitely bad stuff happening in the 70’s! Just like today!!

LEON SYLVERS III The greatest of the SYLVERS. Responsible for writing and producing many songs for many ARTISTS. He was one of the writers and producers of DYNASTY ( broke up decades ago) and their BASS PLAYER. He is a great bass player too!

I keep trying to tell folks the 70's had the best music. It was the last decade were singers had to know how to sing. Most, knew how to play real instruments but most of all there were so many genres of music being played and they all got to shine (Jazz, Disco, R&B/Soul, Rock & Roll, Blues, Opera, Country, Folk & Pop).

OMG, I have truly stepped into The Wayback Machine. The Best Summer Ever was 1976 and it was in Dallas, Texas with my big sister and hangin' at Six Flags, and my best bud Kristiana. I remember me and Kristi and other friends making up dance routines to this and so many others...KC and The Sunshine Band, among others. LOL. And the roller skating!!! So much roller skating! I simply loved the Slyvers, they should have gone so-ooo much further than they did, such a beautiful family, their dynamic brother Leon was a totally amazing bass player Think 😍 of all the great songs he produced, play bass on and so much more he contributed, especially with Shalamar totally the best R&B music of the 80's.

Bought a jukebox this weekend at an auction. Cleaned out the 45's and this jewel was tucked away inside. As a teenager in the 70's....I jammed to this and others. Love this music! And yes, it is going right back into the jukebox!!!

I loved this song ! The Sylvers were at the top of the charts with this song and boogie fever ! People use to say they were the next Jackson’s . It brings back so many good memories to hear this song after so many years !

I remember when they came to the fresno fair in 1976 and I was right close to the stage I got a kiss from Olympia I thought my heart was going to stop 😍😱😂💥

This was awesome. The choreography was so crisp and precise, their performance is like an exercise video. Great sweet soul voice on lead. I think this is one of the great radio songs of the 70s.
