The Moa were perhaps the most unusual family of birds that ever lived. They were the tallest birds to have ever existed, with some reaching heights of up to 12 feet (3.6m) and weighing as much as 550 pounds (250kg). However, at some point, this giant creature became extinct. It has been extinct for more than 500 years, but we still have some unanswered questions about its nature.
