You know when you just KNOW you're going to love a record? - The album title; cover art; it all just feels right. Then this. This beautiful snippet of... something. I hope it's on the album. That sort of spoken word, woven between a gorgeous melody that'd be so different, but once again - so right.

This made me sigh with relief.

It's curious; the world we live in today. Through the power of nearly instant media, we're inundated with the myriad of disasters and conflict that occur everyday. It can be daunting. We can lose hope that things will ever get better. But through the same means, we can discover a minute long video with a softly strummed guitar and an honest voice that reminds us, "this is not the end, this is fine." Thanks for bringing balance to a world seemingly spinning out of control. Can't wait for the new album.

I just finished reading an argument about the merits of Beyonce vs Beck from the Kanye incident, when I saw this pop up. What a breath of fresh air, can't Wait!

Just this weekend I was telling my girlfriend about TMOE. About how he has released three amazing albums and a few stellar EP's. How I was starting to get worried that he might have just stopped making music. Then this. I am so ready.

I probably saw this video at least 20 times since yesterday. I've never been more excited for an album, and generally for an artist. I have been so much influenced by his music and his way to play guitar, and I'm sure he will continue to do so with "Dark Bird is Home". Hope May arrives soon!

I was just wondering where he disappeared, with no gigs, the vacuum on his website..was thinking he just left for some intothewild-trippingto rediscover his so-called little brother. And then this happens. and you realize Kristian was actually wanderingacross the woods and the lakes.having a blast, alone.

Is it just me? I understand that people have different tastes in music - but TTMOE - there is something special about his music. The passion, the energy, the RAW emotion - it's music in its almost most pure form. Thank you for sharing Kristian.

I had such high expectations for this album that I was afraid I might be disappointed when I finally listen to it. Boy, how I was wrong! It's been ages since I've fallen in love in an album so fast and so completely. Such a wonderful, beautiful peace of art!

This has actually made my day.

The Phosphorescent Blues was a good but unspectacular album. Strangers to Ourselves was a total let-down which carried itself by half of it being good with a little excellence whilst the other half was drowning with mediocre songs weighed down by utter shit. Hopefully this record will raise my spirits and reassure my confidence in my favourite folk artist.
