Hi Justin, I am an Abrams M1A2 SEP 2 Operator in the military and I saw you noticed the "gas tank" near the drivers left side of the M551. The Sheridan is a part of the new tanks where they had exterior fire extinguishers. If the engine caught on fire the crew could evacuate first, then pull the fire extinguisher handle and stand away from the vehicle. You will notice the same thing on the left side of the Abrams next to the engine. There is also a crew fire extinguisher that the driver has access to inside the hull. This was safer than standing on the tank and fighting the fire keeping the crew safe and alive, something that Americans care much more about than their Russian counterparts... Just wanted to let you know! Love the content and keep it up!
I loved the M551 when grinding the US tree. I used nearly exclusively the missile. It's a fast ATGM dispenser, it's like a BMP-1 but it can carry twice as many missiles.
The third light tank i really enjoyed to spade, after embracing the scout role. The first was the M41 Bulldog and then the Bradley, both were also fun but not like this missile tank, the HE can gift some nasty kills but i always used ATGM and HEAT as my loadout (as the same on the M60A2).
I love the sheridan, probably one of my favorite tanks ever. It gets a bad rep because of its performance in Vietnam but it actually preformed very well afterwards in just cause and desert storm where it also saw service. Gaijin could make it an M551A1 TTS and give it a laser and thermals but oh well, its still fun like it is
Desert Storm isn't a great example for the M551, it didnt break down but also didnt engage anything besides 6 vehicles, with no confirmed hits. It served well in the recon role
I wish they hadnt nerfed its zoom, you used to be able to check people for lice from across the map like the Merkavas can with their commander camera Also something currently seems to be wrong with HE or overpressure in general. its especially noticable on the T30's HE, it doesnt seem to overpressure things anymore, its like it was turned off.
Was quite fortunate to have this thing spaded WAY before hull break was replaced with overpressure. Fighting other light vehicles with stock HEAT had its appeal because you could literally nuke them as long as you saw part of their armor.
@@dovahkiin3526 i literally got nuke the last time I played this tank. It is good and can survive some random shots. Too bad people don't play it right or get unlucky playing it
Well im happy to be one of those 6-8% which always make it through the conclusion. =D I dont really play the sheridan either, and i dont even have it on my 8.0 lineup since the starship just is a better version. lol. Keep up the good work!
Idk about yall, but I love this vehicle. The missiles do wonders, the heat is pretty slow but good enough, mobility is good. Only had thing is the reload speed
Из за аллюминиевого сплава при возгорании боекомплекта броня м551 буквально плавилась, оставляя один каркас. Что то вроде саморазлагающейся оболочки, эко-танк)
The HE is rather useful than the HEAT round, you'd be pretty surprised by the amount of vehicles at this rank that can be over-pressured. The T-55 turret cheeks will always over-pressure, same with the T-55 AM1 even with the composite shields. All early leopards can be killed from the turret as well. The only vehicles that are immune Frontally are the German 9.0 M48, (cupola doesn't work), and the British. The russian heavies can be difficult but the roof mounted mg will always kill them however it is nearly impossible to do. I could get into more explanation of what can kill and where to shoot but it be too long. Overall sheridan is one of my favourite tanks from this rank.
I absolutely hated this tank, I thought it couldn't get any worse.... then I played the M103....... then the T95E1. My god did I suffer with these tanks in my line up
Love your vids but never know when your streaming. If you add in your description or at the end of your videos what days and times you normally stream it would help me and other I'm sure to be able to tune into your twitch streams on a regular basis. Just my thought. I always play the Sheridan like a missile carriage especially since it doesn't have a laser range finder and no armor and long reload. It always works best for me to use its smaller size and speed to stay behind your guys spot and stay in cover and launch missiles at guys from a far. The missiles have a short burn time so they don't give away your position as bad and they are way harder to spot since they don't have a flare or smoke trail to track the missile back to your spot. I never play aggressively or like I do other light tanks in that thing personally.
8:16 I disagree the flare disappearing being bad. If you aren’t changing course drastically when you’re firing it gives enemies zero change to spot the missile and get to cover or shoot at it with mgs.
Hey Justin, i can't remember iif it was you who mentioned it but have you experienced this bug where sometimes APFSDS doesn't do anything when you shoot through an obstacle like a wall, a fence or even wooden boxes? It's driving me insane. I made posts on the forums and on reddit but i didn't get any replies :(
This thing has literally nothing going for it imo, which is exactly why I play it to improve my methods and fighting style against other tanks under stress
You're too aggressive with this tank. It is not a brawler - it's a scout. This is probably my best 8.0 tank. It's sneaky, missiles give it long range punch and it's smoke/speed allows it to punch and scoot.
Ahh yess i asked this too sometime ago. So the one in game requires the rubber screen set up to go in the water. Looks similar to the amphibious sherman. As later variants came it was too much weight so they scrapped it in the end. Also even with the water shield it could only go in calm/ shallow waters.
the m60a2 is slow has a high profile and can't scout thats why you would take the m551 over it. to compare the m551 to the m60a2 is dumb, one is a light tank one is a medium, if your going to compare it to something you would use the m3 Bradley. the burner running out can be a good and bad thing, good because the enemy wont see it, bad because it can be tricky to aim. the reason why you arent doing good is because your playing it like a fast reloading mbt, keep at distance on a flank and use your missile to snip the enemy. also the m60a2 is not a good tank at all, this is because it combines the m60a1 and the m551 together, the m60a1 giving it armor and the m551 giving it an easy to aim LONGRANGE firepower, the missile is hard to use at close range but the tank is not able to get onto a flank cause it is slow. if the m60a2 had the m60a1's gun it would be good but it doesn't.
