Great summary--love how it starts with the purge process (good ideas on how to get that done quickly and efficiently). I'm also hoping that Funcom expands on the barkeeper's implied abilities--would add additional immersion to the exiled lands.
Finally got the Purge to work on the Savage Wilds. A combination of enormous base, hordes of golems, and a physically large yet surprisingly restrictive plain between the base and Murun caused all sorts of spawning issues. Once this was (mostly) worked out, finally got my barkeep. The tavern system is pretty slick I do have to say. It's worth pursuing. My own tavern was built in a small cave under the mesa the base was built on and turned out pretty well. It was initially a bit slow attracting the locals, but after a few days the place is seriously hopping. No rare patrons yet, but we'll see how things progress.
Very nice beginners video, condensed and super easy to follow. I like the way you started with the purge to get the bar keeper as i found mine entirely by accident when clearing my first purge. They should make taverns produce gold/silver coins over time and possibly have an inventory that you have to stock with drinks to produce said coins. Better drinks equals more coins. Amazing channel btw, if i ever need help, it's yours and Eradication's videos i look for. You first though, you have a nicer voice. 😅😅
If you want a massive tavern you will need two barkeeps, six tiles in every direction from the bar is the seating radius as well as up and down. My build 69 seats (number not planed) 4 dancers, 1 cook, 2 drunk thralls, 2 berserkers as bouncers and a bar cat and the 2 barkeeps to fully populate it. Funny enough a Prowler showed up at both my taverns and for 50 coins I got myself a drunk named person. If placed strategically you can use the tavern seating to populate other areas of your build. I'm a Taverneer at this point with three different builds, fun stuff.
Lastnight my friend let me use her purge base and I got a barkeeper with a surge purge t4 bearer :)). I like this thing they've added, wish I had my old base because I had a tavern ready made lol.
I am late to the party it seems, anyway, you can build some pretty amazing outdoor bars which I prefer. Less restricting on size and scalability as well, have one currently with 15 stalls and it looks awesome, dancers on tall platforms with guards making sure .... no touchy touchy!!! Anyway, excellent video.
Another channel worked out, they populated 6 foundation pieces from your bar, any further and the seats will be empty. Im not sure on what the maximum density is yet
Great guide. Where did you get the further options underneath 'Countertops and bars' though? I only have the bar option even though I've unlocked tablemaker.
They were popping in immediately while I was filming this. They've improved that since the beta - you had to wait quite a while. When I leave render range and come back/log back in, people are outside trying to get in.
