I think they received one of the highest compliments ever in rock. Robert Plant of Led Zep said this is how Zeppelin would sound if we were still together. What praise!

My dad showed me this band, he would play their albums every weekend while we did chores, and we would listen together and bond over it. He had a stroke and brain aneurysm years later and lost a lot of himself, but this is one thing he never lost. I'm taking him to see them this weekend for his birthday ❤

What a song! Jeff is my first cousin. Never really knew each other but I always followed his fame with pride. Met him in once in Halifax at a small restaurant in the Hydrostone. I was happy for that. As we all get older I wish we had known each other more but life turned when we were young. I will always wish him well and smile when I hear a Tea Party tune. Rock On Cousin.

Yes and no they are well known in Canada had they been huge maybe the pressure would have ruined them. Jeff has other solo and pet projects and I don't think they are exactly mainstream anyway a bit too mystical and intellectual to be probably. It's unfortunate in a way because people are expecting machine manipulated music as the norm more now and they are truly talented and it's not recognized or appreciated as it ought to be. People are satisfied with autotuned lipsynched performers and would rather hear that than Jeff? Low standards.

This is one of the few luckier Canadian acts that did happen to break through across borders. They astonishingly had better reception than even Canadas golden boys ever could (The ‘Hip). Australia especially found a great fondness for Jeff and his trio. So much so, that Jeff was ended up moving there for over a decade, and formed a new band (777) which I enjoy! Very different than TTP, but it should be.

One of the most overlooked bands of the 90's. I know they weren't overlooked in Canada where they're from but they didn't get a foothold in the US and I'll never understand why. They had a couple of singles that made the radio but that was about it. Straight up shame.

I saw these guys at The Glue Pot Pub in Ottawa in aporox 92-93, before they got digned to a bbg label. They had a self produced album, or demo, cant remember, it was so long ago. Thats what I feel struck with, listening to the song, I haven't heard it or any other of their songs in decades, so hearing this opens a vivid memory portal to a very faraway time, place, people, and self. It is a heavy unpleasant feeling. The weight of all that time.

Most definitely high praise coming from Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin🤘 “Tea Party” lead singer/guitarist Jeff Martin is an amazing musician & his voice is so powerful & goes right through your body when you see the “Tea Party” live. Of course a lot of bands want to make it big in the “United States” because if America 🇺🇸 loves you then your pretty much the cats ass!!🤘lol😂 … but the “Tea Party” didn’t really succeed in America but they do have a lot of fans in the States just not on the scale of what the “Tea Party” should be with how talented they are. They are big in Canada & are from Windsor,Ontario,Canada & La Salle,Ontario,Canada which is pretty much a suburb of Windsor now. Tea Party bassist/keyboardist Stuart Chatwood resides in Australia 🇦🇺 now & the “Tea Party” have a big fan base in Australia & so much so that they filmed a live concert of theirs in Australia in which you can most likely find on “E-Bay” or “Amazon” 🤘… Cheers 🍻 from Canada 🍁
