All the attention was meant to be on Rocket League's Greatest Prodigy, Zen, but instead everyone was only talking about one team: Hogan Mode.
This documentary tells the story of how a meme team in Hogan Mode went on one of the greatest runs in Rocket League esports history, and stole the hearts of the entire Rocket League world.

i only started seriously watching rlcs at last season's world championship, and have been wondering since if there was ever a team to just troll this hard. to call a timeout when they're winning, just to fuck with the other team's mental. shame i missed seeing this team live, but thanks for the video compiling the best clips!! these are awesome

I remember just randomly scrolling twitch one day and I saw rocket league was live and I said to myself "fuck it ima watch RLCS for the first time ever" little did I l know I would end up watching some of the most entertaining esports I have ever seen for that weekend. I instantly became a Hogan Mode fan just because I could tell by how they were being treated they were a meme team. I haven't watched any RLCS since they were knocked out, but damn was it fun to watch.

This is a cool video well done! I just think that it would have been better to mention the tweeter beef between vatira and scrub, as Vatira tweeted something like "You are lucky that we gave you one game win" after they beat them 4-1 in the first regional, and then in the third regional Scrub tweeted something similar in response after beating KC 4-1

He absolutely should be on a top 8 team, but in saying that it doesn't surprise me he isn't. Vehemently defending dropping scrub saying "you guys don't know as much as me, there will be far better options" and then rehzzy leaving and him being unable to find a spot is entirely on him. They could have easily found a 3rd in place of rehzzy if he didn't let his ego get the best of him and drop scrub purely out of spite

@@bailey29 It happened on the previous team he was somewhat relevant on as well, Kuxir's Minions. They were consistently making main events, then Rxii and Growlii kicked Kuxir. Growlii never made a main event again until Hogan Mode, a whole year later.

It was really fun while it lasted. And I don't really think I know a bigger case of self-sabotage. You have a cool story, a big fanbase and a top4 result to match. I'd have been really surprised if orgs wouldn't have come calling to throw big money at them as no other orgless team had as much eyes on them. But instead they decided to kick Scrub, that alienated the fanbase and thus lost all the interest of the orgs and all the potential gold brooo. So yeah, a massive self-sabotage.
