This was the first of many broadcasts of the Television Academy Hall of Fame Awards, taped on March 4, 1984. Inducted in to the Hall of Fame this night were Lucille Ball, Milton Berle, Paddy Chayevsky, Norman Lear, Edward R. Murrow, William S. Paley, and Gen. David Sarnoff....and most of these people are now gone. This is part 5.

Such a wonderful acceptance speech and so beautiful. So moved by the love that was shown to her. Paving a way for women in so many different areas.

Imagine being so nervous and still so sincere and eloquent. What a terrific entertainer Lucy was.

I was reading Carol Burnett's book This Time Together, and she talks about getting a chin implant...I totally notice it, after watching a bunch of the shows she had in the 60's 70's and now this in 1984...It's noticeable, but looks good.
