Every time Geoff does these I have to listen to them over again. The first time I'm thoroughly distracted, not hearing the story. The second time I really, really try to pay attention.

Dang! Geoff could have a whole ‘nother career with these readings. The soft, whispery rumble of his voice can be soothing or sinister or mysterious. Perfect.

I remember one day in my English class we read the story and then watched this film for it. It was animated and it was horrifying, it made my skin crawl, my blood run cold, and my breath quicken. This had the same effect, just amplified by a hundred. Well done Castellucci, well done. I shall now have nightmares for the next week!

If I ever got a wish, I'd wish for a voice similar to yours...on mic I once sounded pretty okay and "deep-ish" but man...ever since I was a kid and first heard of Morgan Freeman and people alike...I was obsessed, I knew that one day some way somehow...I would achieve such levels. One day I hope I will still achieve that goal, I'm in my early twenties and I hope that idols such as yourself one day help me achieve it just through listening and mere impersonating may teach me how to do it properly, push the physical limits and make the step towards being what I always wanted to be. Hey Geoff, I just heard you read Owl Creek and the Tell-Tail Heart. Wow.... I think the timber/tone of your voice is perfect for these types of reads. They are a bit dark and so your register matches perfectly. I also am so impressed with your diction. ACA has to have clear and concise diction and you've brought that into your reading. The last thing is pacing. Between the timber, diction and pacing you draw the listener right into the world the author tried to create. Excellent narration!! Now off to hear The Raven....

I have, and have read, the entire collection of Edgar Allan Poe’s works. It was actually The Tell-tale Heart that got me hooked. I have a set of bone conduction headphones and was sitting here listening while coloring and my husband was snoring and I’ll admit that I actually jumped at one point. I don’t spook easily, but I actually jumped. Not only would I pay for the entire collection of Poe read by Mr. Castellucci, but I would track down everything I could find that he chose to read on audible. My husband has an account and I’d be making very good use of it!!!

Hearing Geoff narrate this story terrifies me so much that if I listen right before I go to bed, then I'm going to lay awake half of the night 😨 It is however perfect for the morgnings where I just can't seem to wake up and get out of bed. By listening to this narration on those morgnings, then suddenly it's like my whole body and mind can't get out of my bedroom fast enough 😆😍

I turned this on 5 minutes ago. My 4-year old asked what the story was about. 3 minutes ago, her eyes drifted closed. Now she's fast asleep, and I'm enjoying the narrative. The slower pace makes this the most pleasant reading yet. This is a wonderful way to end the day.

I'm not crazy Proceeds to casually brag about murder plans I first heard this in Middle School it's always creeped me out to this day What really gives me chills is that the narrator says that he loved the person that he was caring for but he decided to kill him over something that he couldn't control really scary stuff as much as I joke about this this is creepy on a whole another level well done

(Subbed, btw) If you are up for it, you would be OUTSTANDING at ASMR, just reading literature alone. I can't imagine how over-the-top your voice would sound with an ASMR mic setup.
