when i listen to this song i get tears in my eyes,, reminds me of year 1992 when at times i would sleep without anything to sleep not sure if ill be able to taste bread and was only 10 years old Dad being away cause of some spiritual issues ,, but with his faith and being left with mom for a year ,, we where strong with my brothers and sister we performed well at school with high grades,, Hence today we are what we are good jobs we where able to renovate the house for mom and dad cos they went all out to give us proper life,,,, To mom and Dad thanks for everything
The temptations had not only great lead singers but where the greatest vocalists ever anywhere & they are all gone. It causes me to weep David, Dennis, Ollie, Eddie, Melvin, all irreplaceable.

Such a wonderful tribute. 1990 my grandfather lost his son (who was shot during the Bophutatswana Era) I found him sitting under the tree with tears rolling down and he said Son life and love it's the true epitome that God has blessed us with. In 2009, 7 days before his departure to heaven he listened to this track every night before he went to bed he would listen to his favorite song NIGHT SHIFT. 😢 14 years later am still missing him. I'm sitting in my kitchen in 2017 listening to the mighty Temptations that forever music the music that touches your innermost being. Mind you I am a 70 year old black female who loves the mighty Temptations. Old school music had such depth and passion, something that is lacking in today's artists
In my opinion this is one of the most powerful, emotional pieces of music ever produced. The vocals, the harmonies, the musical arrangements are amazing. It's hard to listen to this song without getting overwhelmed and caught up in their passion.
Beautiful music comes from musicians without egos. The longer they last together , the purity of their product is more enhanced. . The Temptations will forever be a legendary group.

What a classic. This song is timeless, there will always be disagreement. But people should be able to sure their difference of opinion with the fear of being attacked. Ollie Woodson was a great singer and he could hold his own. This line up of Temps was right up there I feel with the originals. So many of these Temptations has left this earth, I mean the replacements of the replacements are gone. There will never again, I feel will be a group like the Tempts. These guys did it for so long. One of my all time greats. To all the Tempts who have passed on. RIP. Soul to Soul. Amen.
As far as a I know this is only group that members have changed over the years but the voices/persons that replace them sing and sound the same ..... it is as if the original members are forever in the group......david to dennis on lead to this gentleman.....with the one that replaced Eddie sounds just like him...... This group is just AWESOME
