Love listening to this on the way to work, I’m 27 and my colleagues think it’s wierd I listen to older music like this, just means I’ve got good taste 😏
Had the pleasure of seeing him perform this at the Soul Togetherness weekender in 2001...The weekender was fire and his performance was top class. R.I.P. to a legend...
I'm 52 and this song takes me back to '84. It's Saturday morning and my mother is cooking breakfast and we're cleaning the house and listening to this song..... My mother died at the age of 39 from ovarian cancer....this song really took me back.
Beautifully said guy right on it la chic~ana i play this song over n over takes me way back n cry smile wishing for time to go back right lol 💔😂✝️☮️🦋😇🥰💖
Otis Williams is only original member still alive to date! This group's music is timeless and has had some talented lead singers throughout the decades! Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Ali Ollie Woodson! May their souls continue to RIP!! They've surely made their mark in this world; bringing entertainment and joy to so many through their singing!!❤❤❤❤❤
I most definitely agree I was born in 95 n I love them 60s-90s hits real music n legendary wish we had something like this now no one in my generation will never understand
My mother would light up as soon as the beat dropped every time this song came on!... Makes me miss her like crazy... I can still see her smile til this day... 💯💯💯
And all fathers need to teach their sons to stay away from h**s, and date real women with elegance and class! 💯 They're the only kind of women, worthy of being treated LIKE A LADY!! 🗣
Good for You!💕 The TIMELESS CLASSICS will all be rediscovered by upcoming generations, and stand the test of time - no matter what genre of music it is...🎼🎶
joshua19942 Eddie Kendricks died in 1992. A lot of the OG’s died in the 90’s. Otis Williams is the Only original Temptation that’s still alive. Melvin, Paul, David, Dennis, and the rest have all passed. 💔
@David Stephens i mean i don't disagree.. one of my favorite songs is oh mother of mine, but i think a lot of people(including the girl you responded to) are referring to the classic lineup
Mr. Woodson wrote this song that says it all that's what he believed us ladies were to be treated like a lady thank you kind sir God bless you and keep you in eternity thank you Temptations you're being smart enough to make him one of you
This performance reminds me of a concert I attend with the Ojays….oh boy. They danced and sang their hearts out. At the end of their set they were drenched in sweat. Money well spent.
@@jcangurl5491 I saw Ojays about 25 years ago in Long Island N. Y . and what a phenomenal show ! Three men all putting out Janes Brown like energy . Eddie Levert what an amazing 🤩 performance.
Surprised to read so many young people comments who really appreciate good music. Parents must have been jamming the good stuff when they were babies. You can't get any better than the OLD SCHOOL MUSIC!!
@@BeMe91 yessss Melvin Franklin was singing duh shyt out dat bass!! The Temptations my favorite male group!! There's only two of the originals singing here..The Originals were 🔥 I grew up on the Temptations!! ❤️💯
This song reminds me of my mom and stepdad. My stepdad had a band and this was one of the songs they played and sung. My mom loved it. Oooh such sweet childhood memories. May they both continue to rest well. 🕊 I will always love this song.
One of the best, if not THE best singing groups of all time. No matter how many lead singers they change, they can sing! This man takes my breath away.
@@margaretwindom135 That's good margaret, where are you from?,i will like to know about you but this is a public place, can you give your whatsapp number or email,so that we can know more about each other,if you don't mind?
@@gbturk16 while I love me some David and the fact that he can get a falsetto going too with that rasp, Ollie got more vocal gusto and will sing somebody under a table.
Hell yeah, wish I could go and come back any time i want to, I was five years old when this came out i remember listening to this on the radio before I go to school along with Stevei wonder part time lover and many more
Gone 11 years now but never never forgotten! Mr. Woodson you were one of the greatest singers on this planet. Thank you for all the songs you left behind.
Love is Beautiful when it's real. A good man will take you as himself. Since he wouldn't want to hurt himself, it will be so difficult to hurt a woman....D song is a masterpiece
This song is fascinating when you really put your ear to it. The rhythm carries the melody throughout the entire song. Yet it's never repetitive or overbearing. There's a lot going on within the instrumentation as well as the vocal performances in every section of the TEMPTATIONS song. No part is exactly the same. Everything in this song just seems to totally click. Great composition and recording. It's a masterpiece of our timeless BLACK musical talent and cultures contribution to HUMANITY!
Agree 100%. All the elements of a great R&B song come together here. It’s perfectly executed, making it timeless. Finally the message taught many a young man about how to behave around a lady. Chivalry is hopefully still alive and well.
You posted the exact same thing on The Whispers track - And The Beat Goes On here...... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pEmX5HR9ZxU.html
Nothing wrong with showing a woman or a lady respect. That's what's wrong with these young punks now days. Being a player ain't shit, find that one lady and you have it all.💯
When you can sing and rejoin the group with the dance step you know you have more than talent. You were the best Mr. Ollie Woodson. Temptations forever.
YESSSS!! They did that and you can tell that they were feeling the Love from the crowd b/c the Temps we're jamming!! I don't care what anyone says, this performance was🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and it still is!!💙💙💙💙
