The Sufi Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan, Volume 1: The Way of Illumination, by Hazrat Inayat Khan. Section 1, Heading 1: "Sufi Thoughts." Not a video, but perhaps will give some direction, if you are still wondering.

Shoehorning slavery in the US into the context of having a master in relation to God or mastery over yourself is a bit daft and felt like you were just trying to pad your talk with words.
