@@Imperial_Squid That's because 13's are a bit too specifically political 10's seasons often focused on overarching morals and moral dilemmas. Like Pompeii, in this video, was essentially just the trolley problem. These concepts are timeless But poor 13, saddled with being the first female doctor, was subjected to pushing specific political agendas. I feel bad for her bcus her actress seems perfectly fine, and I don't have a problem with a female doctor whatsoever, they just put waaay too much weight on it. It should've been "Same Doctor Who, new face and quirks" as usual instead of "time to push cheesy over exaggerated feminist narratives"

He'll always be my favorite Doctor. He just embodied what I feel the Doctor is, and played his role to perfection. The music yes....and the brightness. What I didn't like about Chibnall was most of his episodes were so very dreary all the time. Davies I think had a good mixture of dreary and Sunny. @@sheilatodd7280 I think most people overlook this point, and I'm really glad someone else has noticed it. You are absolutely right, the chibnall era has such wierd colouration and filtering to its episodes. I mean, I don't work on the set so I can't say for certain what the differences in production are, but series 1-10 had fairly consistent visuals until the chibnall era. I think a major aspect is that series 1-10 were filmed to look realistic, as if it had been shot and then that was what was shown . But the chibnall era seems to have filters and even on set lighting seems to make everything look empty.

@@aliciaalaskar8622 I agree 10th and then 9th are the overall best. New: Tennant, Eccleston, some of Smith Classic is hard as all have good moments, and I haven’t watched loads of each doc, but I’d say the best three (in no ranking order) 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Tho I’ve seen some good moments from 5 and 6, and you have to respect Hartnell for being the originals.

10:57 when the Doctor is talking about the stakes (Pompeii or the world) and says Pompeii would have been caused by him... All that's in my head is that image of the Pompeii skeleton that shows very clearly that a man may have survived if a boulder hadn't turned his head and shoulders into paste. The real Looney Toons death skelly. The Doctor did THAT.

The 10th Doctor has, and will always be, my favorite version of Doctor Who. Easily my favorite part is when he met The Devil and he deduces how the Devil he sees is nothing but a body, and that the real Devil had transferred his consciousness into another body. I especially loved it when he did that "Oh! No! YES!!! Noo..." part.

@MultiFan Tennant is the best Doctor of the Modern Era but its a tossup as to whether Baker or Tennant or Baker is the best over all. I love Eccleston, Smith and Capaldi but none are better than Tennant. Each played their their doctor well. Eccleston was hampered by creative differences but his Doctor was perfect for relaunching the series. Smith was a great Doctor and brought a new generation of viewers in and his storylines were a rich addition. I love Peter Capaldi but he was done a great disservice when Moffat just decided to replace his greatest hits before exiting the show, As for the others (except Jo Martin), there is so little content left to view there is no way to judge. Jo Martin, meh

It's a damn shame Chibnall was allowed to kill this show. It had so many good moments. The Moffat showrunner era wasn't great, but Capaldi's sheer acting chops managed to hold things together. But they really needed an upswing after that and Chibnall was a definite downswing. Especially when he was allowed to just keep making it worse season after season.

@user-uq1fq6gs3i
@user-uq1fq6gs3i 2 года назад
@MultiFan The majority greatly topples the majority, you just need to look at the stats and viewing figures that David Tennent is the most successful doctor to date, both in new and old who.
@user-uq1fq6gs3i
@user-uq1fq6gs3i 2 года назад
@MultiFan Precisely, which brings me back to my first point, if you don’t care about the majority’s opinions then why should anyone about yours, if you didn’t care so much then you wouldn’t have replied to loads of comments telling them to change their opinion (even if you did it non-directly)
@user-uq1fq6gs3i
@user-uq1fq6gs3i 2 года назад
@MultiFan Hmm, yeah well it really seems like it. The amount of people who have said “David is my favourite” and you just say “you should watch the old doctors” or you give a list of your favourite doctors with no context, that is non-directly saying that your opinion is different and more important. Why else would you do it multiple times, you clearly think your opinion is the only one that matters, you just don’t realise that nobody really cares about it.
@user-uq1fq6gs3i
@user-uq1fq6gs3i 2 года назад
@MultiFan I don’t think you understand, that’s exactly what I am trying to tell you. This whole argument is about me telling you that other people are allowed a different opinion to you and you are trying to tell me that??? I am not the one going to other peoples comments and degrading their opinion, your are!!!
