Bro I’m Australian n never herd of the Teskey Brothers . Thing is 10 years ago my closest brother pass in my arms n it destroyed me. So I have bin in depression for a decade. Three days ago my niece rang me n said uncle I bought some tickets to the Teskey Brothers n that I was coming weather I like it or not. Be honest was the best night in my life period . This band is unreal n his voice goes strait to your heart man. Finally I feel human again Man. I’m gonna pick my guitar up again which I have haven’t for over a decade. If you ever get a chance to c them don’t miss it mate they r the best. Real soul music period❤️🙏👍

Otis Redding! thats it! I knew it sounded familiar. My Daughter, all of 25, loves the blues and this song. I take the blame. I raised them all to love music in about all its forms. Old blues, rock, pop, funk, r and b. Put our faith in music and screw what the politicians and haters want us to think.

Our favorite band EVER. Sam plays guitar. His brother. And I think Sam writes most of the songs. Josh is the lead singer. You should see them live. The voice of our generation. I can’t listen to them without crying. 😭💜

The Teskey Brothers - Hold Me (Live At The Forum) - saw them do this last November in Canberra supporting Crowded House.

This moved me in a way I can’t fully express. Tortured, filled with loss and pain and unrequited love and longing. There’s this pained hope and hopelessness all together; I think that’s why it’s so moving because it’s life that’s what it’s like when love fails this pleading for hope. Yes, I am mediately thought sitting on the dock. Try little tenderness like all the stuff i heard as a little kid and still listen. He sang with lifetime of built up pain

The first time I saw someone reacting to "Rain" about 3yrs. ago, I was completely shocked. I was taken back to the soul of Otis Redding. Otis life was cut short, and sometime I think his spirit is in Josh Teskey making up for lost time. Josh definitely has the soul of Otis, but he doesn't talk the way he sing. He has an Australian accent. I have 3 cd's by the Teskey Brothers, and not disappointed.

These boys have so many great songs, it's hard to pick a favourite, "Pain and Misery" & "Crying Shame" are up there for me. "Hold Me" live at the forum is a definite must watch too

Everyone needs more Aussie music in their life. These guys are from my home town.

They do a lot of their recording on old analog equipment and they really get that Motown sound that just brings you back to the glory days of Soul and R & B.

The first time I ever heard Josh Teskey I swear it sounded like Otis Redding had reincarnated inside a white Australian dude! He blows me away. He has a duet with Delta Goodrem that I think you’d love too.

I love The Teskey Brothers. Josh's voice is even more powerful and soulful in person, video and recordings don't do it enough justice. Check out Marc Broussard he is a great soul singer too.

I just found this song a few weeks ago, this live iteration is amazing. This guys voice is so powerful and soulful, can't stop listening to it! If you like voices like his you should check out "Brothers Moving", they have some originals but mostly are buskers and cover classic songs. There is a live video of them doing a street performance where they do 'Minnie the Moocher', the one guy's voice is similar to this fellows. Absolutely mesmerizing.
