Cave Without a Name is a majestic limestone solutional cavern settled beneath the scenic hill country of Texas. Discovered in 1938 by three children who were chasing a lost sheep, the cave is the second longest running show cave in Texas. In 1940, it took the title of the Cave Without A Name after a local contest was held to name the subterranean site. A young boy claimed it was too pretty to even have a name, and since then has been referred to as the Cave Without a Name.
