I have been watching Shane from the beginning and now due to this gizmo called youtube, I can still enjoy him and the state I love and miss as I'm now in Northern VA. I especially like that Shane eats the food (And by his fluffiness enjoys it) and naturally connects with the people. I just wish the segments were longer. Keep doing what ya do McAuliffe.
Try the “ loaded fries “ . Most people would consider fries as a side dish but their’s is a whole meal by itself . The Portions are massive and you can have your choice of meats . I prefer the chopped brisket with all the toppings . Btw the menu is very diverse for a barbecue restaurant and everything I’ve had there is very good . I highly recommend this restaurant !
We’re coming to the southern states of the US later this year from Australia specifically for a bbq/smokehouse tour for a month, cannot wait, been binge watching to find the best bbq joints, this one is now near the top of my list
Our Houston Rodeo takes place every March. It starts with a BBQ cook-off and continues with concerts and a carnival all month. Several BBQ vendors are in attendance.
That's H-Town for you. Any type of food you want, you can find in Houston. The most diverse city in the United States and wonderful culinary restaurants. JMHO
Learning from the family history on who to cook B B Q the right way, will always bring the people back with all the right ingredients to be the place’s to go.
I respect this establishment, we were working in the area, all I had was a $100 bill, momma comped my meal because they couldnt break it. I borrowed $40 from my buddy til we left for a tip. Great food too!
Call before you go! Place smelled wonderful, friendly staff, politely informed me the was no pastrami or chicken pot pies which was the reason I traveled 30 mins out of my way..
If you are on highway 287 stop by little town of Memphis Texas where the food at Fat and Happy is so amazingly delicious the have fish dinners my favorite and bbq and side orders so stop by and enjoy the best bbq at Fat and Happy in Memphis Texas on highway 287
I’m sorry but there’s so much better BBQ in Houston than Gatlin’s. The brisket is so dry. But they do have the best green beans I’ve ever eaten in my life, I’d go back just for their green beans.
Everything I ever has there was good . But hey everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess. They have a very good variety of meal options for a barbecue restaurant. I also Had the brisket and enjoyed it very much not sure where you’re going with the dry thing but that isn’t what I’ve experienced. I also agree that the green beans are outstanding.
I never understood why it takes so long to get food. Took like 10 minutes to get a baked potato and no one in front of me in line. It's not like they had to make it. Anything always takes a long time to come out of the kitchen.
Shane, please listen to me as someone who was obese and lost a bunch of weight. There’s no way you’re not miserable carrying that much weight around and being relegated to wearing extra baggy jeans and and shirts that look comical. You owe it to yourself and your family to get healthy. Maybe the food segments should just be a bite of one thing or skip eating during them all together if food is that much of a vice.
Looks great, unfortunately it's in Texas and most Americans don't want to step a foot in that state. It's turned to far right for the majority of America and will stop people from visiting. Best of luck
That is ridiculous and not remotely true. Have you checked out how close our governor race is right now?? All the people escaping California that are moving here are turning us blue.
@@jscho8674 It will only turn blue if the voter suppression laws allow people to vote. Your State has turned so far right with the exception of Austin and Houston that you need to wake up to all the hate coming from your State. Best of Luck, this is from someone that was a Republican all my life until Jan 6th. The political party has changed that true conservatives don't see much to like.
