Nice logic you got there. Ok let's get one thing straight, the science that claims to know how exactly the universe unfolded can't explain how Egyptians truly built pyramids or how amazonians made infertile soil fertile using manmade fertile soil. But they can still make the internet.
This stupid, the question is simple why are human the only intelligent things to evolve into humans. It's not like monkeys were only given this ability, every species should have that chance.
My point was that either we all descended from apes, or none of us did. It was the distinction that made it an intentional insult, regardless of whether it was trure or not
Sadly, I think some of the same things. Our understanding of chemistry and health, for example, has changed so often that I believe it's quite possible that there are some things we're wrong about today.
We are still wrong about things even using science. Science is the method of testing concepts about how the world works in a measurable way so that we can move closer to a more complete view of the world by identifying what isn't true. We benefit from the scientific method daily with how it has contributed to our electronics getting more powerful and complex, from satellites that allow us to use GPS, to the basics of having electricity and sanitation.

According to the prominent philosopher and humanist Thomas Nagel… “In thinking about these questions I have been stimulated by criticisms of the prevailing scientific world picture... by the defenders of intelligent design. Even though writers like Michael Behe and Stephen C. Meyer are motivated at least in part by their religious beliefs, the empirical arguments they offer against the likelihood that the origin of life and its evolutionary history can be fully explained by physics and chemistry are of great interest in themselves. Another skeptic, David Berlinski, has brought out these problems vividly without reference to the design inference. Even if one is not drawn to the alternative of an explanation by the actions of a designer, the problems that these iconoclasts pose for the orthodox scientific consensus should be taken seriously. They do not deserve the scorn with which they are commonly met. It is manifestly unfair” (Thomas Nagel)

I believe in the Stoned Ape theory, the problem is most of the planet has stopped consuming mushrooms. We need to get back to that to keep searching for God.
Absolutely psychedelics when used properly can lead to different areas of enlightenment in life, but go back further and evolution gets much more ridiculous to believe in, because stardust evolving into single-celled organisms, and then those into fish, and then fish that could breathe air with legs to walk, those all were not getting high, and even if they were that only explains mental evolution and not physical evolution. Consciousness itself is the fundamental building block of reality which creates what we perceive as matter, not the other way around of unexplained atoms exploding out nothing to eventually randomly cause consciousness. It is more along the lines with the Alan Watts and Hindu philosophies of, we are all god playing a game of hide and seek with ourselves, just because hanging out by ourselves got boring or lonely. Even some scientists talk about simulation theory, the problem with that though is at some point there has to be a root core to existence and can't just keep passing the buck that the next layer of dimension over is the real one worth caring about. Dreams at night shows how the human mind can create an entire universe that we perceive as being real, so a more powerful god-mind could be creating this dream that lasts a lifetime, with more vivid sensations, and structured organization designed to keep ourselves from waking up, or wake up at a slow pace that is less of a shock to ourselves when we return to our true form to imagine a new reality to experience.
@@jackclimb3529 Sure reality is a simulation, it just isn't built on computer programming like the matrix movies, as the scientific version of simulation theory suggests, because then what are those computers made of, it can't just be infinite computer programs all the way down, was my point about that. Some quantum mechanics experiments show how conscious perception itself is linked to how other atoms behave.
I think when students ask their science teachers(or any teachers in general) they should not be penalized for it. As for the students they should also try to ask questions that actually contribute to the discussion and not be disrespectful(although as a student this one is quite hard if your teacher is a buffonish tyrant that doesn't want to be questioned smh). Being a tyrannical and egotistical teacher may seem fun(or may you just have a problem and you're taking it out on the kids, who knows?) but you're wasting the opportunity of fulfilling your purpose: teaching the next generation. The best classes I had in college are the ones where the teacher answers question from the students and vice versa. I could only dream of such things when i was in high school.

We have a common ancestor with modern monkeys and apes. So long ago some primate ancestor group split likely due to the environment ( like some on South America and the other group on Africa) and over time the animals changed because the environment was different. It's like beetles that can be brown or green and the green ones live long enough to make green babies in leafy areas and brown ones get eaten, but brown beetles in the dirt survive to make babies and the green ones get eaten. So green ones and brown ones get so specialized to their area that they become different species.
